Trying to call these people back, but I don't know who they are.

I got a text asking me to call, but I don't want to until I find out who it is. Did you ever get through to them? Who are they? Why did they text?

This number is a part of Careers Inc, which is a verification service
for employers for hundreds of different job boards. I'm a
representative of Careers and would like to clarify why you're getting
a text from us on this number.

We receive a large quantity of resumes for thousands of positions

information is correct. Employers use Careers because they get such a
massive response to job postings. It's very hard for any company to
sort through interested applicants - people are not reachable, their
phone numbers are disconnected, or their email is invalid or typo'd on

receive no response and employers get bad contact info for an
otherwise qualified individual.

Careers attempts to contact applicants to confirm that their
information is correct - if it is not, then we help them to correct it
and update the employer on the applicant's status.

We do not ask for any sensitive information such as SSN. We do not
charge for our service. We will never ask you for anything beyond
confirming what's already in your resume on file.

I could not find any info on this company.  please list your companies website.

This company is Career Network. They post fake jobs. They only get your info to re-sell. Do not fall for it. You may google the company and you will see new report. Watch out.

Who wrote this message works for them Career Network or other names that all boiled down to them.

This number is Carrer Network and watch out because they came out in the news that they are a scam. They put ads on different jobsites, when in reality all jobs are fake!. Please do not respong to any emails as they are only trying to collect personal info for re-sell.

I called and they thank you for submitting your application.  They tell you that the employer is reviewing it.   Then, they try to solicit you for other services.

Also received  a text from this number. It seems strange to me that a company would hire an outside company to verify the info that i submitted to them,  Have been in HR for several years and have never heard of such a thing.  If a recruiter was interested they would contact the applicant. At very least leave a message with a contact person.  A background check comes way down the line. This just sounds like someone trying to get people info probably to sell.  I wouldn't callback.  good luck to everyone.
