Stop texting me please!!!

got the message this morning on my t-mobile cell phone.  I thought it was suspicious because the bank does not have my cell phone number.   chase would call or email me.  bogus.

Got absolutely same message this morning. Keep getting this sort of messages (from "different banks")on my phone each other weekend... Didn't answer.  However, I keep observing the TXT messaging charges on my monthly t-mobile bills...

Got exactly the same message this morning. Even the same card number. Fishy.

I received a similar message this morning to the one "Once Bitten" reported. I was suspicious of it for a number of reasons:

1. The message said to call regarding a debit card "Call 1-877-740-8143 regarding your debit card starting in 511182". This is highly suspect because a message actually from the bank, if they would send such a message at all, would most likely identify your account with the *last* digits of the card number, since usually banks assign debit card numbers out of a pool of numbers that all start with the same numbers.
2. My debit card doesn't even contain this string of numbers.
3. The phone number does not match the phone number on the back of the card.
4. When I did a web search for this phone number, none of the hits had anything to do with Chase. In fact, the top hit was this page.

Don't call this number!

I received a text message from 3611 stating, "Message from CHASE. Call 1-877-740-8143 regarding you debit card...".  I did not respond to the message because I was once the victim of credit fraud.
