I have had the misfortune of having contact with these people on more than one occasion.  I wish there was some recourse for those of us who have been treated poorly by these people. My first interaction with them was horrible. I called about 5 times and was hung up on 4 out of those 5 times and was told I was being rude when in fact they were the rude ones. About a month later,I paid off a balance with them and they tried to fax me a confirmation of my payment before I got my fax machine hooked up. When I called back to ask that they fax it again, they told me that they had faxed it 3 times and they would not do it again. Then when I asked for a supervisor they hung up on me. I called back 2 more times and asked for a supervisor. On my last call I spoke with a man who told me I was in collections and I was not gonna get transferred to whoever I wanted. I was fuming and so glad I didn't live in the same city with these people because I might have driven down to the office. The person before me had it right. Karma is a b**ch and I hope these people get exactly what's coming to them.

I got a call from Optima Recovery  I asked for a copy of the bill to see what it was, because I have been paying my bills as I can I had heart surgery and several bills compiled on top of one another.   This man that worked there wasw hateful and stated that I had no right to the bills and told me that I had to pay it in full.   I asked why he was being so hateful and he informed me that I had no right to this information.  i told him nicely that i was trying to set up payment arrangements and he asked me how much I make and if any of my other bills was over 10 months late.  I told him that it was none of his business and he informed me that if i owed them any money that  My pay check was his business.   He called my work and I asked him if I could call him back  and he told me he would give me his number when I told him I could call him back.   Not everyone that cant pay is trying to dodge there bills.  There is somethings that happen in life that can alter what people can do.   This company is totally rude, hateful, and very unprofessional.   I hope I never act this way in my job because I would be fired.  I have to be in the people business and this is very rude.   Karma is a bi***, and I hope it comes back to them

I called Optima today to ask if they can send me a bill of an account I had in their office that showed up on my credit report. The guy asked my if I expect him to waist his time, effort and money for postage to send me a bill that he knows Im not going to pay. I told him that he was being rude and inappropriate he replied you need to become a person who learns how to pay their bills! I demanded to speak to a supervisor he said no and hung up on me. I called back they just hung up again. Finally I called for a third time and got another guy who was equally rude and I told him I want to speak to a supervisor he said the guy I spoke to the last time was the supervisor. He was clearly lying. I used to be a debt collector and if we were to treat anyone that way we would have been fired and sued. They don't follow the the fair debt collection practices act at all. I'm having an attorney look into the company because they should be shut down.

If you're an upstanding individual and someone leaves a message for you specifically, then you owe it to that person to contact them back and address any issue that's open (whether you're happy they found you or not or how)!
If you're not the person, then they will not mind you contacting them to let them know this, but you must understand that if your number has been provided to several places, then each time an account gets referred to an agency, the process begins all over, and  its not their fault they got your info again from a new source.
If you're receiving hang-up calls without a message, then call in your spare time and leave whoever it is a message of who you are and what # they're calling; let them know that if it is not you they are looking for, then to remove your #.

someone called from this number and left a message on my phone-they said my first name only and i could either either hear a tv on or a radio playing in the background-no idea of why they are calling as its a private number

they called from 8658620590 and left this number for a return call, but didn't say who they wanted or what they wanted.

these people keep calling,i've told them not to call-they wait a little while then get a different person to call-i would like to know who they are

I called them to settle a bill and they were very rude. Accused me of being "the lowest of the low" among other things. I was calling to pay my bill, not be harrassed by these jerks. They insulted me the whole time, even refusing to accept my payment at one point. Refused to let me speak to a manager and asked if I was going to "tattle on him". These people should be ashamed of themselves. I was a bill collector at one point and NEVER spoke to anyone like this even when they cussed me.

does no good to complain to them!! Contact a attorney, sue sue sue

They call daily, but I'm at work and don't answer.  I look the number up on the internet and it is Optima credit recovery.  I have not been late on any bills!!!  They shouldn't be calling me!

They call my cell times sometimes five times a day, they are looking for a man that worked for me five years ago. I have tried to explain to them nicely they have the wronge number and do not call back. They are very rude, and refuse to keep from calling. they have even accused me of being the man they are looking for. They also say this is the first time they ever called when you threaten them. Someone needs to change their ways. Such as the FCC.

Collection services get your number from many sources. Phone companies, surveys, public records, your Emergency Contact. Hellooooo! You wanting my money does NOT qualify for an emergency! I list an emergency contact in case I am found bleeding from my eyeballs, not for THIS!!

Lady I spoke to was VERY RUDE and hung up on me because I was asking who she was. She was asking for me by my FIRST NAME. We are NOT friends lady, so don't refer to me by my forst name! I hate when people do that without asking. I am Ms. Xxxxxx unless you know me!

They called me to say that I have a bill of 67 dollars to pay from last year!!!! I told the lady, who called me to send me the bill infomration but she said that she doesn't have any infomration except that a radiologist needs $ 67 bill from last year. Do I have to trust them or they just want to rob me???

they call me all the time on home phone and cell. i never gave anyone either especially my cell.
