I got a phone call on my job from this number. I inquire who i am speaking with and she informed me that she is a locator for creditors. I worked in the hotel industry so I had a busy front desk that they.  I informed the caller that I could not speak at this time because it is very busy and she asked to speak to my supervisor/manager.  I informed her that my supervisor/manager does not have anything to do with my personal business.  I asked if I could get a number so I could call later to find out what the situation is.  She rudely gave me the number and informed me that if I don't call back in a couple of hours she will be showing up on my job to serve me papers and that would be very embarrassing for me.  I had just gotten back to work after 2 weeks for personal reasons.  one of my co-worker informed me that the same lady has been calling everyday somes times 3-4 times on her shift and harassing her about my whereabouts and asking personal information.   I tried calling the telephone number and the recording said the name of the company is called consolidated.  I did not get to speak with anyone at that time because a very important call was coming through.

I received the same kind of call yesterday.  They called my mother looking for me (I haven't lived with her in 10 years) and she gave them her credit card, when I called them back they wouldn't provide me with the address.  They threatened her and gave her some old personal information for me.  I reported them to the FTC.

Got a call today from this number. They said someone by the name of Dora Minifield needed to contact ADR and that she had been officially served (by a voice mail...really?) sounded like a scam to me so I looked on the web and here I find that this is some kind of a scam.

A lot of people have lost jobs due to the worldwide economic crisis that we are still in...do we really need to be subject to this kind of BS. This is a ridiculous attack on innocent people that do not need any extra stress in their lives. Give me a break!

These people have continued to call. However, they are 100% a scam. I know there are links on this site about fake payday loan scams, so I will not reiterate it all here. In a nutshell, after talking with them and finding out what company it was stemming from (a payday loan company from a LONG time ago - that I did take out a loan and pay back), I contacted the payday loan company. They said they were not pursuing any collections activities on me. In a nutshell:

1) These people will call everybody to try to find you
2) They will threaten you (with arrest - this is illegal and you CANNOT be arrested for consumer debt)
3) Do not pay them any money. Ever.
4) Threaten them right back. Tell them that you've reported them, that you know they are a scam, etc (and actually report them!!!)
5) Tell them to send you debt validation information in the mail. They won't.

I finally told them that if they called one more person that was not me, I would sue them for harassment.  They did call me one more time. I told them I did not owe the debt. They argued. I told them that if they had something they could send it to me (they didn't). However, they did say I would be served with papers (I found this especially amusing since their original call indicated they didn't have my address, hehe). I told them I look forward to receiving the papers. I have not received any yet (and no that I won't, as online payday loans are illegal in my state, so there is nothing they can sue me for).

Got a call from this number today (missed 10+ numbers from an "unknown" number). Left a message saying that I was officially notified and that I needed to call back and provide my address so I could be served papers. I wasn't terribly annoyed until I was contacted by a friend who said they had called her as well. Additionally, they called my father who lives out of town and who I have not lived with in over three years.  They said the company was "ADR". I called the company back at the number provided (877-791-2102)...the recording said the company's name was "consolidated". I spoke to someone (he would not give me his name). He was very argumentative. He said that they would not have called me, that they only provide "courtesy" calls to individuals. I inquired about the nature of his business. His response was "we do several different things".

I called back and left a message demanding validation of any debt. If they cannot provide that, then I'm not paying anything. I also threatened to sue if they continue to call myself/other individuals with their harassing phone calls.
