You might try googling your name, then your phone number. Anyplace like spokeo that shows up, make them remove it. Make sure if you have facebook, that your info is set on private.  These scammers have all to easily gotten info. If your name & number isn't unlisted, all they have to do is call the operator to get the new number.  If you filled out anything online recently, the scammers get your info.

You might also wish to consider getting a call blocking device or phone..

This 8777957005 just called my house number at 7:41pm asking for me. It was a recording I pushed 1 like it told me to and they told me that they are attempting to collect a debt from me. When I heard that I hung up seeing that I just filed for bankrupt. I call the number back and push the number that it tells me to push it says that the phone call may be recorded when I pushed to talk to someone. But no one is currently available to take my call and hangs up when they just called me.

A woman  called even though our number is  on do not call list. The woman that called misrepresented herself by saying she is not a telemarketer and she is not selling anything. She made it sound that was  very
urgent to speak to a family member. When I checked the number I found out that diversified is a collection agency that we  never came across with that name before and we still do not know why they called..

Whoever these people are they should know that they would do far better if they spoke when you pick up the phone. I mean these people call me a lot and never say anything when I answer. It's always a hang up. What a bunch of idiots.

received an automated call from this number, they didn't identify themselves, merely stated that they are a debt collector and left this number to be called back.  I have no idea who they are looking for or what supposed debt they are collecting for, but I did not and will not call them.

we just got our number changed because of spoofing.. now the new number we have, this stupid number keeps calling us... whoever had this number is probably who they want. but this belligerent company doesn't quit calling. they hide their face, hide behind a recording so they can torment innocent people. if you want a certain person, then speak up and say who it is, talk to the people you are calling to make sure you have the right number...

this number called me 6 times in less than 5 minutes, they would not give me any names when i asked who they were. claimed to be a debt collector for sprint trying to collect a $600 + collection charges for a grand total of $965. I haven't had a sprint cell phone since 1999, and I paid it in full before disconnecting it. when i asked how they got this debt they refused to answer so i checked my credit report and found 3 hard credit inquiries from this company. caller was rude and threatened legal action..... i told them my lawyers name and number and asked for them to send a hard copy of the debt. was told they don't have to do this and the caller hung up after saying "you better pay or else". call was completely harassing and threatening, reported it to appropriate authorities.

Same for me. I changed phone companies & had so many problems, I changed back. This "phone company" turned my arbitration w/them into a hard credit inquiry, resulting in damage to my credit profile. Now they call me using a myriad of numbers at all hours. Too bad they have more workers in debt collection & not enough employees in tech. support, service & accounting. I'm sure the harassment borders on illegal, & I've ignored them 6 months already !!

Debt Collector
I received a call today from them. She said they are a debt collection company that handle debts for telecomunnication companies. She told me I owed $800 to Verizon (for a verizon cell phone bill from 2011)and I must pay now. I told her I closed my account with Verizon in February 2013 and paid my bill in full, which was only $125. She called me a liar, and said it was my debt. After 10 minutes of a back and forth, I told her send me a bill in the mail. When she gave me an address that I never heard of and a social security number i was not familiar with, I told her she had the wrong person. She continued to call me a liar and to pay the bill and then hung up on me. I called Verizon Wireless and the man checked my old account, said it was closed and paid up to date. He also said they never sent any of my information to a collection company, and that most likely it was a scam or that they are legit and just got my number mixed up with someone elses.Very annoying jerks.

They are a debt collector looking for someone I have never heard of. "Michael Benet" When I answer there is nothing but silence on the other end.  I call back the number and press 0 to talk to someone.  They wont say who they are.  They tell me they are looking for this person named Michael and I tell them I dont know this person.  They say they will remove my number, but I start getting calls again after a few days.  My only guess is whoever they are looking for use to have my number.

Phone calls at unreasonably late or early hours: It is my theory that these people believe that calls at odd hours will make the person called think that this is an emergency phone call. Therefore, the person will pick up the call. That is just my theory.

Diversified is a debt collector. They do collections for Sprint. That may be the Fortune 500 company. "Kathi" : go to the website ftc.gov click on the consumer protection tab. It explains were rights as the pertain to debt collectors/collection.

It is illegal for them to call you at your workplace, whether you owe a debt or not.  Inform them of that. That should stop the calls at your job.
