I got a call from this number this morning (877 816 6349 and no caller ID attached to it). I have no idea who it is from BUT last week I signed up for health care (after mine was cancelled at the end of the year) on the government web site and all of a sudden I am getting all sorts of solicitations by phone. Coincidence? I think not. AND I'm on the "no call" list.

Phone went to voice mail - they didn't leave a message. When I called the number back no answer...

I went to my insurance agent asking about insurance thats it.. and Now i'm getting bombarded with calls all day long this week.  And I talked to him in Sept. of last YEAR!!!!!  and they wont quit calling, and they knew all about my vehicles....  What happened to privacy?

They asked for me by name when I said "Speaking" they hung up

These people keep calling my cell asking for someone named Victor.  They immediately hang up when I try and ask them anything about who they are or anything else, which leaves me feeling suspicious.  Not sure on this- although the last guy did tell me he was from Quote Wizard...not sure on who put my info in that...

Have been calling me non stop for 5 days- they are slim

Someone used my cell phone number for an insurance quote request.  I've had at least 10 calls this morning from various agents in the area. It doesn't matter if your number is on a do not call list (as mine is) if your number is given on an application for insurance (or other products/services), it's permission to call.  I just have to let each caller know to add my number to their no-call list. Frustrating, and it uses up minutes.

It is from QuoteWizard..an online quoting service. Someone put my number in their service and I got several calls from Insurance companies wanting to give me homeowner quotes. I'm not sure if the original submitter made a number mistake or was some jack*** messing with me.
Either way, the guy who called me was calling to verify info. Once I told him my story he said he would put my number on their Do Not Call list. We'll see how legit that was/is as he said this is the first & the last time I would hear from them.
On a good note, if you're looking for a quote service..this one seems to work. I got 3 calls from insurance companies in less than an hour ;)

I did not call this number for anything and they call 2 and 3 times in a row - i just keep hanging up without answering

Calls saying I requested a quote online for my 2010 mercedes, which I definitely did not request, and that is definitely not my car.

Been getting lots of calls sayign I requested quotes, from insurance agents and home-loans types like Allstate and State Farm. Called back the State Farm one and told them I did not request a quote. Guy was friendly enough...but still receiving a billion other spammy calls from other numbers.

Called number back from a differant number as they are calling my business cell.  Very polite young man said he would remove my number from their calling list so we shall see!

I think this is from requesting ins quote on line.  I have been getting calls for over a year now and have asked to be put on their do not call list but I think they call from multiple companies and multiple phone numbers.

My phone is on a do not call and what would they call my cell, I am a registered "DO NOT NOT""  I would love to turn them in

These people just called my cell phone, they asked for someone else. I won't answer them again.

These guys don't know when to give up!!  I'm just going to let them pester until they figure it's a dead end.

This is so freaking annoying! I keep getting calls from this number and as the others have mentioned local insurance agents. The wierd thing is they want to give me a quote on a 95 Chevy Venture. I have never owned a 95, a 97 yes and a 2002. But not a 95. I do not know how these people got my info but I am SO not happy!

I put my cell phone # on Do Not Call List. Still getting these calls. I googled the phone number and read the posts on-line. Sounds like it might be an insurance company.

Do not give them any information, besides that you did not request an insurance quote.  Even if you did request a quote online, I would still say that you did not.  I got called by this number after my experience bellow.  My guess is that I got called because I told all the below insurance agents I did not request a quote (and they filed a complaint).

I had about 6 local insurance agents (including my actual agent) call me and want to quote me on a BMW I did not purchase.  I let all the calls go to voicemail, so I could investigate the calls first.  I called my agent and she said this happens a lot (totally bogus leads) for whatever reason.  I ended up looking up the other agents phone numbers in the phone book and the numbers they gave me to call back were all legitimate.  I ended up calling all of them back, and they were all friendly and did not push me to purchase anything.  One of them said they pay for each lead, so they wanted to know if I really wanted a quote.  All of them had the same bogus email address, and at least one said it bounced back to them as undeliverable (probably a full mailbox)...

I am thinking Quote Wizard (or someone) sends out bogus requests so they can profit from the bogus lead.  Most people probably just ignore the insurance agents and they end up paying for the lead.

8 calls today from insurance salesmen.  This is a private phone # and NO ONE has this number.
Something crazy is going on

I get called 16 times in one day, never asked for an insurance quote on any website. Nor have I filled out anything.

I've received calls from this number. Nobody is on the line.  This started happening when I responded to an email saying that I had a restaurant gift or something coming.  After filling out one form, several others appeared.  The original form noted that I only had to respond to two seemingly innocent ads.  I filled out two more forms. I realized that I was getting nowhere, so I stopped. Since then I have received numerous calls from this number.

I went to this website and to see the information on the page I had to enter info to get car insurance quotes.  Well I have received numerous calls and e-mails from valid insurance companies giving their quotes from which most are cheaper than I am paying now.  BTW, the webite is asking for me to do the same again today. LOL

I apparently I went to their website to requests quotes. I found that i could save money. anyway got a call from these guys they wanted to know if I requested the quotes and was contacted by agents, and that's it what a weird call, but simple.

Yes it's from Quote Wizard by an email sent to me from a legit insurance firm like Allstate. Also they work along with Net Quote to give leads to the firms to buy from them, that's why they called you. I just got a call from them. Just a bunch of spammers. Don't even bother to answer any of their questions for insurance quotes.
