First called on the 16th, once in the morning, once at night. Then called once yesterday, today they called me 3 times. Never answer a number that I don't know, but now am thinking I may have to try and tell em to stop calling me.

Oh, one more thing I learned from Optimum:  they are not allowed to leave phone messages, so that must be why the message is just intermittent beeping.

They called again today, and this time I picked up. It is Optimum. I asked for the number to be taken off their list, and he told me it would take up to 30 days & advised to block the number to avoid calls during that period if I wanted. I told him I would put 30 days on the calendar and call them back if I receive any after that. Worth a try to just calmly deal with it and see if Optimum fulfills their policy. Hope this helps all of you out there that need to work on your patience level and detailed follow-through, which will sweeten your entire life.  ;-D

We started getting messages from this and other numbers right after we signed up with Bresnan alias Optimum. The messages are just intermittent beeps, nothing else. I will check with Optimum and see what they can tell me. Could be someone who hates Optimum and has set up a spoof. They did it to Chase Bank; their customer service rep said that they tried calling the number the message left and it just disconnects and they have been unable to find out who it is but it's harmless except for aggravation.

Actually, with the DNC rules, they CAN call you since you've done business with them within the last 90 days. HOWEVER, you can ask them to add you to their internal DNC list, and they will.

yah these optimum guys are outta control. I already told their a***s that I don't want their god damn TV/phone package. this is ridiculous. the internet serves all those purposes yet they still don't get it. pissing me off.

Please call back, they're the only phone calls I get!

This number has called 5 times on a Saturday starting at 8:30am they leave no message.

I have received calls from this number multiple times.  I answered once, and it was a Bresnan/Optimum representative.  I told him to take me off the call list as the calls came on weekends, early in the morning and late at night and were inconvenient. He promised to do so, yet since last night, (Friday) and continuing early this morning, the calls come about every hour.  I am disgusted!

It's Optimum calling to see if you have their service or want it.
They sure are aggressive - but I have Optimum, and though I don't enjoy the calls, I LOVE my internet, phone & cable bundle.  More movie channels than dish or direct, and they have NOT raised my bill at all and have never had a problem in 13 years with Bresnan or now with Optimum.

Yep crazy amount of calls from these freaks.
I file a complaint weekly with the FTC & donotcall registry.

I keep receiving calls from this number - 877-822-4219 even though my number is on the do not call register.  I want these calls to stop as they are annoying and border on harassment.  I don't answer any 800 numbers that call because I know they are going to be solicitors because they never leave any message.

I've received several phone calls from this number, no message left from the caller.  I finally answered the phone last Saturday morning to tell them personally to please quit calling.  The caller said something about Bresnan cable services, and I said, "I'm not interested, thank you," and hung up.  Guess what phone number showed up on my phone already.  Same one.  I just called Optimum's toll free number, gave her the caller's phone number and asked her to take the information to her supervisor.  I included that I'd read a lot your comments and that a lot of people are ticked off with the unrelenting persistent phone calling.  The Optimum woman also said she'd take my information out of the database.  

I think the more phone calls Optimum gets from you guys who are disgusted with these phone calls, the more likely Optimum is to do something about it.

These people harass me at least 4 times a day. They don't give me a chance to answer, and when I call back there is 3 seconds of a call(no ring) and an automatic hang up. This is harassment and is against the law. I would like to see those responsible brought to justice.

Call me everyday since half a year ago. Do not know who sold my number to them, would like to sue. Anyway,I never picked up once and recently I downloaded 'mute/slient ringtone' and put this number as a contact, named 'super annoying spam'. Then linked with mute/slient ringtone. At least, I could avoid hear it.

Bresnan/Optimum called me 6 times today -- I have theirTV and cable services, yet they can't stop calling me -- do they want me to cancel service?

Bresnan, but don't know more about that other than the fact that they are rather abusive (calling no less than 6 or 7 times in a single day).

Thank god for google voice - these idiots are now sent directly to the bit bucket.

i am registered with the do-not-call outfit, but am getting calls at least twice daily from this number - i do not answer it as i have caller ID, but i'd certainly like to have whomever it is cease and desist!

WHEN I PICK UP WITH THIS NUMBER NO ONE ANSWERS,THEN WHEN I CALL IT BACK THERE IS NOTHINGAT ALL... AND ASLO THIS IS A CELL PHONE WITCH MAKES IT REALLY WIERD..

Multiple calls a day for two weeks.  Won't go away.  Nobody on other end.  Convinced now they are aliens.  Run!!!

I've been inundated with these calls as well.  I usually don't pick up but when I did once it was a very pushy/condescending telemarketer talking about Optimum packages.  We recently subscribed to Optimum for internet so that's probably how they got my number.

It's totally ridculous that they keep hounding me especially when I've paid...complete jerks!
