Ha! I got one today wishing me a happy birthday and offering a 8 day/7 night Norwegian cruise and two round trip airfares if I call in 48 hrs. 1-855-837-9900. Of course in fine print the company states they are not affiliated with Norwegian. Ya think?

Received notice in the mail for a gift waiting for me! "A New Tablet complete with Android O/S, Camera and WiFi" Respond within 72 hours and also receive a "$100 Restaurant Dining Card"

Phone number to call is 877-566-7555. Address on back is CP, PO Box 20389, West Palm Beach, FL 33416 (They currently have an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau website)

"Sponsored by DirectBuy of Brooklyn and Queens." (Currently lots of complaints on the BBB website for them) Details: must be employed full time, "90 minute visitation required. Spouses, fiance, partners or significant others must attend together." My spouses, fiance, partners and significant others don't all get along, so filed in the shredder :-)

Got the Android tablet version and $100 restaurant dining card one today. The "local" phone number is 1-855-894-7297. On the back it says that it's sponsored by my local Direct Buy club (a legitimate business). I'm tempted to call them to see if they did indeed contract with CP or if CP is simply using them to try and look legitimate.

The rest of the fine print reads:

Call for details. Certain restrictions apply. Must be employed full time. This promotion is not sponsored by or affiliated with Android, but they are a major supplier of the software. Members, past visitors, employees or anyone affiliated with this promotion are ineligible. Available while supplies last.

Now, given that Android is not a company, and that the software comes from Google, it looks like they can't even make a good disclaimer.

Received a final notice mailer stating that  their promotional department shows that we have been awarded a New 7" Tablet complete with Android O/S, Camera and Wifi. Also their records indicate that by responding within 72 hours we'll also receive a $100 Restaurant Dining Gift Card.
The funny thing is the tablet pictured is an iPad. It gives a toll free # of 1855-379-9319. Open Mon-Fri 10am-9pm and Sat 9am-3pm. I have a feeling if I was to contact them the only way I get this fake tablet is by signing up for something else. Just like the free cruises they have you purchase but then you end up paying hundreds for taxes and dock fees and resort type fees.

Received in mail: award for 2 round trip airline tickets. Says you have to reply no later than 7 days from postmark. It does say governmental taxes and fees may apply.  It says its from 645--HH.  Address on envelope is CP PO Box 20389, West Palm Beach, FL 33416. Phone is 1 877-423-8836.  It also claims not to be a timeshare or land sales offer.  I did not call, smells of scam.

Does anyone know how our addresses ended up in their hands? I got the same offer for 2 round trip tickets. Obviously I didn't respond and will not respond but all I want to know is how they got my info.  This is irritating and scary to have them use my real name and home address to contact me about a scam.

I recieved a voucher for 2 round trip tickets, but had a different toll-free number (855-390-2451).  I tried to search for it, but nothing turned up.  They have changed the contact number, but didn't change their PO Box number and its location.

On the back of envelope, it showed the address as listed below:
CP
PO Box 20389
West Palm Beach, FL 33416

I know there is no free 2 round trip airline tickets.  It must a scam to sell or make me buy something I don't need.

Mailing arrived this morning, same return address as given by anonymous above (11 Apr 2012), different phone number (877-349-1513), pretty much the same pitch:

Dear XXXXXX XXXXXX [no comma or colon]

Enclosed is your airline ticket voucher. This voucher is good for a certificate for
2 round trip airline tickets<nobold> to anywhere in the continental US from any major
international US airport.

This voucher must be certified to be valid.<nobold>

We have been tasked with notifying you of this award. We have attempted contacting
you several times. [No, they didn't! All I got from them is this letter claiming they tried to call
me. Hmm, does that mean my posting is inappropriate to this forum? NO, I DIDN'T THINK SO.]
Note that this award must be claimed by no later than 7 days after postmark. [N.B.: THERE
WAS NO POSTMARK; it came with an uncanceled U.S.A. "Presorted Standard" stamp on a
computer-generated bulk-mailing-type "Tear and fold along dotted lines" foldover letter (although
the dotted lines didn't quite coincide with the perforations!), with a cartoon of a multicolumn Parthenon-like official-looking building in the top left bearing the notice "IMPORTANT Documents
Enclosed"; my address was in a cursive handwriting-style font, including even the nine-digit
ZIP code and a barcode below the address]

If you do not claim your award, it will be transferred to the alternate. This is a limited
time offer and can be withdrawn at any time. Flights fill quickly. Governmental taxes
and fees may apply.

This will be your last chance to respond.<nobold>

Please reference your claim number: XXXX<nobold>

<underline>Note: This is not a timeshare or land sales offer.<nounderline>

Sincerely. [period, not a comma]

No obvious giveaway typos, but they did miss a few smallish punctuation marks.

Enclosed, a certificate that looks like a check but is annotated on the back with (among other disclaimers) "THIS IS NOT A CHECK". Box form with a photo/logo of a jet plane in the upper left, entries in OCR-type letters (looking really computer generated!), reads as follows:

URGENT - AWARD NOTIFICATION

Claim Number: XXXX
Announcement Type: FINAL NOTICE

LOL I just received the exact same one today, 5months later and the scam is still floating thru our boxes! Come on, why are so many bogus offers still being allowed to operate as "business as usual".
Especially when things don't add up as in this case, the HP Touchpad (which used the webOS NOT Android) was discounted last year because HP has pulled back from making tablets. So I'm appalled that they/scamers would try and dope unknowing consumers and nothing is being done about this!

Same here, Air Tran on mine.   Award for 2 round trip tickets worth $999 to be claimed in 7 days of postmark. Funny thing, no postmark, as if someone walked by and just dropped it into my mailbox.   I agree that this clearly a use of mail fraud.

AirTran on mine.   Award for 2 round trip tickets to be claimed in 7 days of postmark.   Mailing sent STND Presort with a stamp to mask postal entry point and no postmark on standard mail.   Clearly a use of Mail Fraud.    To bad the post office is so busy downsizing that their investigations unit has not shut this one down.    YET!

I got one with a "voucher" for "2 round trip airline tickets worth up to $999." They try to make it look like it's from Jet Blue, but the small print on the back of the voucher says, "... not sponsored by or affiliated with Jet Blue."

The number for me to call is 1-888-484-6213... not the same as most numbers I've seen on this forum. I Googled "CP West Palm Beach" and found this message board.
