We canceled DirecTV yesterday. I don't know what this call is about, but we've never EVER had a problem in 5 yrs of service in 2 counties. This can't be a debt collection call since the payment is current and set for autopayment on Jul. 3rd.  I'm guessing this is simply their Retention Team with a customer satisfaction survey.  LISTEN UP PEOPLE -- it's NOT always harassment!!

This really helped, I cancelled service with them because our customer service has been terrible, HD channels cut out and they want to charge me for someone to come out and fix it... umm no I will just suffer through SD channels till I can cancell... I cancell and you harass me... I cancelled a week ago and they have called me 9 times. Leave a message if you really want to talk to me that bad.
I will end up saving over 100$ a month by switching and you can bet that everyone that asks me will hear that they should not go with Directv, horrible customer service and too expensive!

It is direct tv as most everyone has states and they do call after you cancel service. The woman I spoke with was an account manager and just wanted to verify why I had canceled, which was due to the new apartment complex I'm moving into not allowing satellite dishes. You can call the number back and speak with someone also.

I cancelled my service with DirecTV yesterday after a long time with them. I was paying the same high cost and losing many channels, never to be replaced and those I did still have were always searching for satellite or had horrible reception.  I told them yesterday when I cancelled that I wanted my phone number and email address to be removed from their records and I did not want to be contacted by them for any reason. I was told that would be done.  Today I have already received 2 phone calls from them and had to call them back to tell them again to remove phone and email from their list immediately.  At the end of my cancellation call yesterday I was asked if I was sure I didn't want to be part of the $20 monthly discount for a year program !!!!!   Absolutely not - why was no remedy to the problem offered prior to cancellation as I emailed them continuously with the problems I was having.

Same thing happened to me.   Just canceled my DirecTV service over an hour ago and just got my first call from this number.   Didn't answer it.   I'll block the number if I get any more calls, and I'll never go back to DirecTV, just because of the annoying phone calls with no messages left.

Ditto here. My contract was up and I called to cancel yesterday. I've received 3 calls from this number today so far. I seem to be in the minority in that my service--other than a blip in the first month when the receiver quit working--has been great. My complaints are more in their pricing than in the actual satellite service. I chose their Choice package and in the last few months I've noticed some channels had disappeared from my line-up, presumably moved to a higher tier. The rep I spoke with was very nice but continued to do the please-stay-with-us shuffle by offering $30/month in discounts (for which I'd be required to begin a new contract, of course) and a movie package (don't watch movies). My local cable company has a package (bundled with my internet service) with comparable channels for less than Direct TV even with their offered discounts; plus, my cable company won't charge $25 for a DVR receiver (I believe it's $12) and they sure as heck don't charge a $6 fee for "primary tv". I did have to chuckle at one point, when she asked if I have internet. I told her I do through my local cable company; when I mentioned my download and update speeds (60 down/10 up) and told her the price, she didn't even bother trying to offer me a tv/internet bundle. It's a bit discouraging to here they keep calling for weeks. I may have to go the extra step and block the number.

Same here.  Was told my highest bill would be around 55 a month.  Never even downloaded any movies and my bill was always  higher and higher each month.  Cancelled them yesterday and have already received 3 of these calls from this number.  Won't leave a message.  Annoying.

I cancelled my DirecTV account yesterday and they have auto-dialed my number 3 times in less than 24 hours.  I answered the 2nd call, to no avail.  DirecTV is the WORST.  I recommend no one buy into their promotional packages; by the end of the promo period you will be paying out the nose.  It was much cheaper for me to cancel service and pay the early termination fee.

Cancelled last night 3/17/14 and they are calling already. Left a voice message in a language that is from the middle east. LOL I dont speak muslim. So glad that I found out it is Directv. They are also calling blocking their number as I have received calls today from a blocked number.

I've rec'd 4 calls from this # in 18 minutes. I also called to cancel Direct TV for later this month because I'm moving out of state. They want to charge me an early termination fee of $350 even though where I'm going doesn't allow dishes on the property. Thank God!!! This service SUCKS!!!! Now I'm stuck with 2 dishes (I also have internet service w/ a dish) & I will need to remove from where I am or I will be charged. I was told to throw them out, why can't they pick up? I cannot believe their cancellation process either!!! What ever you do don't get Direct TV!!!

I cancelled my Directv today and just now got my first missed call from them. I was quite shocked because when I called them a month ago and told them I would probably be cancelling my service they said I had 30 days from the cancellation date to pay off my cancellation fee and today they said I could make payments on the cancellation fee and and an account rep would be calling me within 7 days to work out the payment arrangement. Either way I'm so happy I cancelled and when I say never I mean I will NEVER order service (under my name) from Directv again. I really hate the 24 mo contract and the games they play. They don't tell you things when you sign up with them and when there are issues they throw things on you to get more money from you. I'm done!!!!
