Tell your card issuer you are a victim of fraud and you want all the money refunded and your card canceled and replaced. Do not "dispute" the charge because your issuer will tell you to work it out with the scammers and you know that's useless. Tell the issuer they gave you a fake or missing number to call to cancel and you could not cancel as a result. Tell your issuer about this 800notes page of complaints. Good luck and best wishes.

I purchased a trial for $2.95 in Nov, 2010.  In December $68.95 on the 4th,  this company drafted my account for this money.  They did not even list the correct number for the transaction.  I may have to cancel my card just to stop them from taking a monthly fee which I can not afford because I am on social security.  I am having a hard time talking to someone about this matter.  I just wish they would stop taking people's money without their permissin or atleast talk to me first.  Let me say no to your face.  I now think this company is a hoaks. this number appeared on my statement and also incorrect on purpose so no one can call and complain.  please please HELP.  I CANNOT OR HAVE NOT REACHED ANYONE.  TRY THIS:((  8778575   001877857583 CA)) How it is shown on my statement.  Called and no one answer.

Good luck with that one & smash a couple windows for me to. I had the same problem with that company and had a 2 hr debate on weather they should refund my money. Its funny though because after all the bull s*** that guy gave me he finally agreed to refund my money and he wanted to give a conformation number and I asked what good that was doing, so I asked for his name, wouldnt give it to me, then I asked for the companys address he said he wasnt allowed to disclose that info so i said but u want me to trust that a conformation number is going to get my money back and he said yes, I still have not been refunded my money and you will only get the run around if u do get in touch with someone but I did find out that they are located in utah and the IP address noted above is there IP address, so if u can get any answers good luck & let me know. someone has to be able to get answers or our money back!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a company called direct commerce academy & they claim to be a at home income profit system which really only steals ur money. I spent 2 hrs on the phone with this scam of a company. They would not give me an address. a working number or anything to verify the company, which simply shows that it is a scam. The phone number that was on my statment was disconnected but with some searching I found a number that works but who knows for how long, they say that they are going to refund the $168.71 but only time will tell. Its funny that they can debit ur card in a few seconds but takes weeks to have put back. GOOD LUCK heres the number I found1-877-232-7318 they are located in utah but they wont confirm this and i am making a call to the B.B.B or better yet maybe channel 3 news because they seem to answers quick, but the more peolpe that complain the faster we can get this stopped

Ignore my above post, Gail'd spelled it wrong and I'd simply copied and pasted her wrong spelling into whois. It's been alleged that domainsbyproxy is just a shell run by godaddy to shelter questionable operations so contacting domainsbyproxy is hopeless. The way to attack this problem is to contact cashinontwitter's service provider and try to get them to shut down cashinontwitter and this is how you do it:
1. Get cashinontwitter's IP address from whois (it's 69.4.229.64).
2. Go to hxxp://whois.arin.net/ui and enter "69.4.229.64" into the search box at the top right corner. ARIN is the American Registry of Internet Numbers.
3. Returned page shows Hosting Services Inc. as operating IP addresses 69.4.224.0 - 69.4.239.255. If you click on the "HOSTI-20" link in the middle of the table, you'll see Hosting Services is located in Providence, Utah but this isn't the place to report abuse. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the "View related POC records" link. This will return a table of 3 links. Click on any of the 3 "NETW02261-ARIN" links (the same in this case but should they be different, you'll want to click on the one for Abuse) and it'll return the Point Of Contact for Hosting Services. You need to describe the problem in detail to the POC, direct him to this 800notes page and try to convince him to shut down cashinontwitter.com. A stand-up service provider is supposed to shut down evil websites but evil websites are paying customers as well so providers are naturally reluctant to shut down any site, good or evil. Best of luck. Let me know what happened, I'll check back here every now and then, thanks. Spare a turkey, kill a scammer!

I just searched for  casinontwitter.com on 2 whois sites and both say it's not registered so how did you figure out domainsbyproxy.com was their internet provider?

same thing just happened to me. I even called their internet provider which is domainsbyproxy.com and they wouldn't give me their real phone number. I think we should rally and bombard domainsbyproxy.com ; they should be responsible for letting these guys continue to scam people. of course now that they know what is going on they are assisting in the scam...perhaps the FBI would like to know about that! take care everyone, it has really seriously damaged me. it was really the wrong time of the month for this to happen!

It appears to be related to DCA - Direct Commerce Academy ... probably other 'work at home' scams also.  Apparently they entice the internet surfer with pop-up windows when they attempt to leave the website for a drastically reduced, ridiculuous price of 99 Cents or some such nonsense.  They make two separate charges to the account:  45cents and 54 cents (or some such).  There's miles and miles of terms and agreements that they bury the subsequent charge of $139.95 or whatever in there and a 5 day notice to cancel ... but don't charge the checking account / bank card until weeks(s) later ... long after you go back to research and the 5 day chance to cancel has long expired.  Moreover, it's CASHINONTWITTER not DCA on the bank account / charge card, etc.

I like to call it tricking the sale.  Hey, if they were honest and upfront, would you invest in it ????????

When you ask for a refund, after hours ... days of researching and discovering exactly what has taken place, they refuse to do so.  Yeah, they want your business / investment even if they have to take you kicking and screaming into their fold (TIC) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about some legislation for internet commerce !!

...like an IMMEDIATE follow-up email with CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO CANCEL and that an impending charge will follow with CASHINONTWITTER not DCA.  That'd be a RED FLAG ... yeah, youbetchya!!!!

I learned my lesson - nothing on the internet !!!!!

How about some legislation for internet commerce !!

There are charges on my account today from "cashinontwitter" and I haven't even signed up for anything online. Called my bank they gave me the 877-857-5831 number and said since it's a merchant they have to refund the money. Called the number 877-857-5831 COMPLETE DEAD AIR! Not even a dial tone or ring back. Called the bank and they had nothing listed but that number. I had to go back into work from my break and logged into my account again and there was no check card holds on my account and the balance was correct, but the bank says they haven't done anything!?!?! I'm calling the 877 232 7318 on my lunch break to see what happens?!

This people are big scammers a charge on my account for 4.95 from cashinontwitter. what I was told by the non english rep is that some how I sign an account with Direct Commerce Academy, which I have no idea what this company is about. The customer service rep refused to refund my 4.95 back and also refused my right to speak with a Manager or supervisor. One really annoying thing is that he kept saying sorry over and over and said that I can't get a refund after 40min or my cell phone minutes he finally says that he can refund, my account was cancel and refunded.

I have an unwanted deduction on my bank statement.  This number was showing as "cashinontwitter" and the phone number when called states that it is unavailable in my area.  I did not authorize this deduction from my bank.  I do not know how they were able to get this done.

Call your bank and submitt a dispute for the charges. Per Reg E the bank has to give you provisional credit for the disputed charges within 10 days while they are investgating. More then likely the bank will get the money back.

Thank you for the information Tim. I certainly want a cancelation and refund from them. I did not order anything from them, but somehow there were unauthorized debits from my account. I am going to try to get a hold of them to sort this out! Thank you again, and I am sure your information will help others as well!
