Be sure to dial the "1" before an 877 toll free call. You may be bothering another private citizen just as much as the telemarketers.

This number call's every day and they use other numbers, want take no for an answer or don't call back!! ,knows you have a answering service, but want leave a msg.so the only thing to do is. let them waste their time ,because I refuse to answer and maybe they will catch on.

877-859-3653 is ALSO NRA. i've had calls from 2 or 3 OTHER #s that are NRA!  ARRGH!

i went to their website, clicked link for 'contact us' and sent email to all 14 listed departments asking to be removed.  got 2 emails the next day that i had been removed from call list!!

Robo call from the NRA - am not a member nor have had any dealings with them - hung up on them.

I got my first call from these folks today.  I never answer the phone when caller ID shows something that is ambiguous or not necessary.  877-858-4319 showed up as "Toll Free."  Toll Free what?  Toll Free Depends?  Toll Free Styling Gel?  I didn't answer.  I don't expect to hear from these people too often.

I never answer the phone if I see that Caller ID is not specific or is specifically something that I don't want to deal with, "Phone Scam," "PacTelComm," "AlwaysForCharity."  And, I don't get bombarded with phone calls.  It's true that they do call, but not nearly as often as some of the folks in this thread say that they get called.  I believe the reason why is that I don't answer the phone for those calls.  They get an answering machine message when they call that is polite and states that they can leave a message with a name and phone number.  They never do.

It's perfectly OK to not answer the phone for junk calls.  Use that Caller ID.  After all, you pay for it.

When you call the NRA to complain, be sure to press #1 before the number to get their toll free line, otherwise you are calling a regular person and will appear to be stupid.

They called me right at dinner and were blabbering about how the UN was going to make the US ban guns. The voice aggressively goes into "do I want the UN to make the gun rules for the USA...." Not even a concept or thought about the fact that I might be against guns! Which I am. They leave a call back number very quickly if you want to be removed from their call list. A courteous gentleman told me he would remove me from the list. I told him the call was aggressive and intruding and that I was on the do not call list. He said, "nonprofits don't have to adhere to that rule...". Please, I don't want these freaks calling me ever.

Call came in on May 1, 2012 at 8:00pm. Repeatedly calls and does not leave a message. Caller ID shows only a number without name.  A spammer or telemarketer who is ignoring National Do Not Call Registry.

calls me at least 3-4 times a week....PLEASE STOP!! I am on the do not call list too... :-(

If you get a call from an 877 number it is a toll free number. To call them back, you have to hit #1 first or you will get a local phone that DID NOT CALL YOU, Making you just as stupid and annoying as the NRA

I do not want calls like this. I do not know them and will not give them money. They clam to be the NRA! Who was it for real!

We have been getting calls from this # (877-858-4319) NRA, which we did NOT solicit!  (They even called @ 10 am on Sunday!  Isn't anything sacred anymore?)   Well, I think I have FINALLY found a way to stop all these harassing calls - I have tried with one company & they have never called back!  I just tell them I have call forwarding & the next time they call me, I will FORWARD their call to the local FBI office!!!   This gets rid of them very effectively!!!

I don't mind that you are against guns but think about this. How many guns were used on 9/11? People will find a way to kill.

Tired of getting calls from this number- there is never anyone on the line.  This needs to STOP!

Stop Calling me

Received call  around 12p.m. on Sunday, April 1, when I asked who they where male caller hung up, how rude.  I'm on the National Do NOT Call Registry, like any other political organization I quess they feel they are above the law.

Like most political, religious and nonprofit organizations, the NRA is exempt from the DNC list, so stop your useless ranting and don't answer!

We continue to get calls from the NRA even though we're on the DNC list and we've contacted them to stop the calls.  They use a multitude of numbers.  Next step is to report them.  Apparently they're not communicating with whomever they've contracted with to make the calls.  My patience has run out!

I get 2 or 3 calls a day from this # and similar ones, all NRA according to the posts I check out on-line.

Since you can't stop them, if you do answer and get a live voice, and they ask for the man of the house, try this:  Say "just a minute", take your phone to your nearest smoke detector, hold it right up close, and hit the test button.

You may as well get some satisfaction.

Called on 8 March and 9 March...rang 4 times then stopped before I could reach the phone or the machine could answer for me...Toll free number is caller ID, so that tell me NOT to answer so I didn't.  Not a member of NRA, do not wish to join either.

Attention all. If you get a call from a number you do not recognize, just don't answer it.

Try using caller ID and don't answer numbers you can't recognize.  Most people with at least half a brain know this already.  What's your excuse?
