I got the same call that I'm under investigation for check fraud.  I haven't written a check for over 3 years, let alone a hot check, so its a total scam.

At least twice got call from this number, they leave voice mail saying I'm under investigation for check fraud and that I am to call them back so I or my attorney can sort matter out.  The person says they have my name and social security number but never use my name or refer to any other details about the matter.

Total scam:  will be reporting them to state attorney general's office.
