Saw the charge today on my account. Thought it was very strange, I am so glad I found this page. Unfortunately my bank won't let me do anything until it clears, I will be canceling my debit card.

they will call even on a Sunday,Holidays and after 9pm..bedtime..anyday,anytime..will call 10x a day..regardless of time and day.

A man with a heavy foreign accent called and asked for a co-worker at our company. He referred to her by her maiden name. She has not been here for a year. He wanted all home contact information for her. I told him we don't provide that. He hung up on me.

I didn't receive a call but I got charged $9.55 on my debit card on 5/13/08.

I live in utah. got the same $9.55 charge on my credit card from 877-893-2497.

I also didn't receive a call but received a charge of $9.45 and am in the process of disputing it with my bank right now.  How frustrating!!!

When I get the calls from 1, it says to call 1 and so I called and someone answered. I ask what company this was and they told me: CASH FLOW 500.. Finally someone was nice to me because I asked if they would stop calling my number and so far they have. So maybe someone out there can let everyone know, this is who has been calling forever.

we get calls DAILY on our machine from that number.. only a computer-sounding recorded message is left (usaually half way cut-off).. saying please to return a call them back at that 1 number. I refuse to call back a number when I don't even know who the heck it is? Or where it is coming form? But I dunno how to get them to stop..it's almost a daily thing..and annoying as heck!)

I am not sure what this sad person(s)wants, as I have never answered the phone because like so many of you..if I don't recognize a number..I don't answer. My kids and husband have answered before and when they realize I am not home..they hang up. Is there nothing that can be done about harrasing phone calls?

I know who they are, I know what they are calling about. Bill was paid off 14 years ago, contacted original creditor and they sent me proof of account payoff. Sent copy to them, now they say I owe them $55 processing fee. Waiting for it to hit credit report, then filing charges for extortion.

Same here. Got charged $9.45 on my credit card from SEARCH MANAGEMENT, which registered as a bookstore under 877-893-2497. I got only an answering machine with a message to leave a callback number. No identification. Definitely a mass fraud going on here.

same problem  $9.50 on my credit card.  I already called the credit card company to reject the charge.   I am contacting my state consumer protection agency and fbi fraud division. chatting on the internet isnt going to fix this.

I also received a 9.45 charge on my credit card, I guess I will call the bank now and dispute it. GRRR

I got a bill for $9.50 on my visa I have no idea who they are or how they got my Visa number.  The number showed up on my Visa Bill.

I received a phone message at my place of employment from a man at this number )leaving a message to call urgently I did so he was so rude and disrespectful that I hung up. If he were a little bit nicer and understanding we may have worked out something but he was so demeaning that I refuse to deal with him or his company - Avante. They need a lesson in customer service and politeness. As the old saying goes "You can catch more bees with honey than vinegar."

I was debited $9.50 this morning on my bank account by Search Management. How do these people get your Debit card info? I cancelled my Debit card immediately but without knowing who they are and why they did it in the first place, I'm afraid they might pull this stunt again!

Same story here...I was just charged $9.50 on my debit Mastercard from Search Management in New York. I called my bank and was told it was a bookstore and was given their number. I called and got a recording to leave a message which I did not do. I called my bank again and they recommended that I cancel my card, file a complaint with them, and call the police. I am doing all that plus I am contacting the States Attorney General's office. Search Management is comprised of thieves who are obviously raking it in $9.50 at a time. I'm sure they think that few will question or dispute such a small amount, but this website proves otherwise!

Repeated incoming calls, 4-5 daily, even on Sunday and late at night.

this number is on my caller ID 2 x a day. Bill me later charged me for purchases not recieved .. I have reported them to the United Trade Commission. someone needs to stop them

I got a phone call this morning from. The lady said we were late on our morgage payment and I told her no we weren't. She asked for my husband and I told her he wasn't available. I asked who she was and she told me she was very sorry and hung up. She also asked if our house was paid for. I hung up on her. These people need to be stopped from harassing homeowners. Thanks.

I got the same charge, $9.45 on my bank account, and when I called the number it's this really weird sounding machine. I told them I did not authorize this charge and wanted my money back, stupid me I left my phone number. Great. Now I'm really in for it. I will be disputing this charge at the bank on my lunch hour.

No one called me from this number.  I received a charge of $9.55 on my credit card on June 10.  My credit card company said it was from an on-line bookstore.  The company was SEARCH MANAGEMENT in New York.  I called 3 times with no response but my bank said I received a $9.55 credit on July 2. I will be watching in the future, but don't want to get a new credit card number since I have it in PayPal for donations to charity, etc. I am disgusted.

I get calls from this number 2-3 times a day. They leave a message - in Spanish!

Been charged 2 months in a row, bank is checking on this.  Wow!

calling my office phone at all hours. Very annoying. What good is caller blocking since they and others have an ability to call in with these bogus numbers shown on caller ID !?

Texaco/Shell Gas Card I think..

A charge of 9.55 showed up on my bank statement also.  They done it several months ago as well.  I will definitely look into this.  The charge is from some bookstore.
