this is PROFESSIONAL RECOVER SERVICES its their number. i get calls from these people. all as what you have to say is the number you care calling is a new number and i have no idea who u are. then write them a letter stating they voilated the fair credit reporting act by not sending you a complete file that PROVES the debit they are trying to collect is yours.  write a letter to the credit bureaus and tell them they failed to follow procedure allowing them into your file and not sending you orginal contracts from the debetor.  Then guess what, thise idiots must remove their tag on your credit report and they go away and lost money on you. dont ever answr their calls or us mail. ever. use the us mail with them.   i told them the number they are calling is a new number and i have no idea who they are looking for. then i wrote the lettetrs and 35 days later they had to drop. sign the letter as your an attorney. they dont have time to look stuff up that you are or are not. they cant anyway its a violation of your privacy. there is always a way around these stupid idiots that get into collection biz.

I get calls daily from them. I saved PRS in my phone and have it sent straight to voicemail so it doesn't ring to bother me. The last time I had to speak w/ someone was when I answered unknowingly and a Belinda was on the line. She was incredibly nasty to me, upset that I couldn't hear her well. I told her that YES I do have this debt (so for me it is legit) but that I was in contact w/ someone else from their company and prefer to only deal with that person. She told me I had to deal with whoever called because I broke the law. I told her No, I defaulted on a loan, not a law. and I also told her what I told  the previous person , that I had asked the originol creditor (space coast credit union) to consolidate or try to get my payments lower since my job situation changed after 3 years, and they refused to help, so i had to stop paying. She told me I should manage my expenses better, which is when I went off on her about losing a job right after having a baby and just now getting back on my feet. I've paid off all of my debts since then but I refuse to pay this one just because of the way I have been treated.

They call several times a day on my cell phone, Ms. Silver, etc.  The say it is urgent. My usual behavior is if I don't know the number I won't answer, and it will remain that way.  I will call the phone company Monday to see if I can block the number.

My credit card company sold my debt to this company PRS ie Mr Shapiro. The debt is real so I have been paying them as able on a monthly basis, but this company still calls  2 to 3 times a day--this includes Sundays, early AM hours and late PM hours. They rarely leave messages.
Here is the best/worst part. BEFORE my debt was sold to PRS the credit card company that I did owe the money to--actually refused to accept my offered payment of $500 saying "Dont bother sending it we are selling you debt and you will be notified." The computer message now says,"Thank you for calling the operator etc" I am planning to all our Attorney General in NY

I'll tell you right now who this c**k sucker is and where he lives.  Dale S. Brubaker and Dennis R. Brubaker both own Professional Recovery Services.  I suppose they are either brothers or father son.  In any event, these c**k suckers call me relentlessly and then when you call them back, Mr. F***ing Louis Weinberg is always on the phone, or Mr. Fleming.  F*** that.  This a**hole thinks he can hide from us.  I am good, I am dam good at finding who owns what and who is who.  Dale S. Brubaker lives at 487 Archie Summers Rd in Lake Placid FL 33852.  His number is unpublished but there is another Dale Brubaker that has an undisclosed Lake Placid address but his HOME PHONE NUMBER IS:  863-465-3152.  They have a Lake Placid mailing address for the supposed "PRS" business of PO BOX 52, Lake Placid FL 33862.  They have a physical street address for their PRS business and that is 2501 Upson Ave., Lorida FL 33857.  I suggest everyone call these mother f***ers or pay them some personal visits as they are a drain on this society.  F*** THEM

I too have been getting the calls from PRS and Mr. Greenberg.  I have ignored them.  In all likelihood you may have credit card debts that were sold to PRS for cents on the buck, so from a legal perspective they probably have the right to call, unless they are so reckless that they may be calling you just because your name - or phone number - is erroneously in their system (which seems to be the case for some). In any case you can stop the calls entirely by sending them a "cease and desist" letter under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (lots of examples available on the internet) to their N.J. address (see one of the above posts).  Scumbags though they no doubt are, they will most likely stop calling after receiving the C&D letter (make you you send it certified) because the feds impose a stiff fine for violators.

I have also received these calls about five to ten a day it is a constant harrasement.  I called back and spoke to a representative who was looking for some one else.  I have also called and advised these people if the harrasement does not stop I will contact the Attorney Generals Office.

I just got this same call.  I love caller ID.

I have been getting this call every day also. Usually around 11 AM CST. Asks to call Mr Greenburg or Mrs Schapiro at the 877-929-1052 number. There has to be a way to stop this kind of behavior and illegal activity.

I have only had my home phone number for about 3 days and I just got a strange message on my answering machine.  A "Mr. Greenberg" with PRS called and asked me to call him back at 877-929-1052.  It seemed odd, so I looked the number up on the internet and was amazed at all the posts about this type of call.  I'm puting my 2 cents in right away in case this continues to happen.  I will not call back and I can only hope that this doesn't continue like it seems to have for many others...

who this most annoying caller number belongs to???

A woman called saying she had to make an important decision regarding me and that I needed to call her back at 1-877-929-1052.  Her tone of voice made the matter sound very serious.  I reported this call to Comcast and they directed me to report it here.  Comcast told me it was a scam and that I would have been charged a lot of money per minute to call back the number.  This man should be in prison.

These guy Greenburg keeps on Harrassing me without giving a reason for his calling him.

I also get calls from PRS. I have never had debt. I'm just hoping that not resonding will get rid of them eventually. I don't have caller ID, so I don't know who the other 3-10 daily hang up calls are from. I screen by who speaks on my answering machine, and my friends know my system.

I HAVE BEEN GETTING THIS SAME CALL FROM A MR GREENBERG AT PRS, HE SOUNDS VERY SERIOUS, AS IF I AM IN TROUBLE, HIS CALLS ARE AROUND 9:30 AM. THIS SHOULD BE STPPED. HE CALLS MY CELL AND IT IS REGISTERED IN THE "DO NOT CALL LIST"

I've been getting the same call from Mr. Shapiro with PRS for weeks... He never says why he's calling. Obviously I have no debt considering I'm a minor. Irritating, to say the least.

These same people keep calling me everyday.  Even on the weekends.  I am pretty sure that I have paid my hospital bill, and even gave them the check numbers.  And by the way, they claim that they have had this is their office since 2007, but are ust now contacting me in 2010.  I've had the same address and the same phone number.  Go figure.  I think its a scam.  And I dared them to take me to court.

I keep recieving phone calls from a woman everyday telling me she has a matter to settle concerning me and its important that I return her call. I actually do have a hospital bill due thru these people. I've offered to send them payments, but its not enough so they won't even give me the address to send it. Everytime I talk to this woman all she does is talk down to me and ask me how can I take care of my family if I can't even pay my bill. They are very rude people and keep threatening to freeze my bank account and take me to court. I've never recieved anything from them by mail and all I have is a first name. Now when I do call to get more information about it, she hangs up one me and says I['m obviously not concerned with settling this matter....

Write a  cease and desist letter

THis is a collection firm write a letter of  cease and desist .

This company engages in Collection Agency Fishing.  They troll the phone lines looking for the person with the correct social security number. They have no clue who they are calling.  This is a common practice in the collections game.   If your phone # is listed in the phone book, your name is the exact same as the person they are looking for, and if you live in the same city or region, they will pester you to death even though you are not the person they are looking for.. These people are so dumb when it comes to tracking people that they are targeting innocent people. A class action lawsuit is what is needed here. I am surprised that no attorney is organizing one.
