I got a charge for 19.95.  How can I get this to stop?

They have charge me I do not know who they are or what they wanted

Yet another person being charged 19.95 for something I didn't sign up for. Wonder how much this company makes by doing this to people. Probably a killing!

Have charged on my credit card now since Jan '12 after using a free trial which I see now as a scam for $19.95 a month times who knows how many or how much money they're ripping off!

I to received multiple charges after requesting an address search for 95 cents through Intellius.  They charged me 19.95 - four times. It was bad enough that they carged me,  but they did it two times in February and two times in March.    I called my credit card company and contacted their fraud division.  They are going to issue a new credit card with a different number and credit my account. I am so glad that I used my credit card for this instead of my debit card. There is really more protection that way.  When I look back at the previous messages on this forum - I see that the dates on the entry go back to 2010 - so Intellius has been doing this for quite a long time - I wonder how much money they make from people who don't notice the charges or who don't take any action - it probably is a real money maker for them.

I lose morn than 226$ by this F**king number.

They can find you information online(For example you ship on eBay) and once you or somebody else put your phone number and personal information over there.
You don't need to agree with this and they can just start to charge you Automatic!!!!
Another thing is YOU CANNOT CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT OR SERVICE EVEN YOU DID NOT OPEN IT!!!!

That happened to us.. I don't know how many months we paid $21.81 but it sure stinks.  This month we finally got them off our account.

want to report this number 877 974 1563 that only offer I authorize to be charged 0.99 cents and they charged me 4.99, 19.95 plus 19.99 is a robbery and that they are doing me my money back

I have been having $19.95 charge from INT*IDPROTECT MNTR SVC for many months.  I called my Chase credit card company today and found that I had requested an address lookup from yellow pages or white pages on the internet for allegedly $2.49 or some such amount, but when I clicked that I requested that service, that I automatically was signing up for a monthly membership or some such thing.

Chase agreed to put a "block" on that merchant and that that should take care of it.  Just a month ago, I think I again used that company for an address look-up, and I hope I don't have to go through this again.  

There must be a federal or state law against this fraud!!!

What is strange about this..  It is the second credit card that Intellius charge has shown up on. I got the other one cancelled by logining to intellius.  This charge showed up the very same day I downloaded come MP3 from Amazon.com...hummmm  I only use is card on Amazon.

They have been charging me for the past 10 months and I cannot believe I havent caught it until now. Guess I need to start paying more attention to my statements. I cancelled and demanded a full refund. I'm waiting to hear back. But something more needs to be done to stop this from happening to other victims.

Unauthorized charge.  They got me from a .95 cent charge on a phone number look up.  Hold times are outrageous to cancel charges.  I just disputed the charge through my cc provider.

My Amex statement said "IDPROTECT MNTR SVC 877-974-1563 MEMBERSHIP" for $19.95.  I never subscribed to this, am challenging charge with Amex.

Same thing here. I called my visa an they took care of the bogus charge NO PROBLEM my charge was also 19.95.
Not sure how they got me but they may have tagged me through a realty trak sign up and a search I used a while back.
Bogus charges like this are becoming more frequent. This is my 4th one all for between $19.95 to 39.95. the perps hope you will not scan your bills for these small disguised charges

I also did a 95 cent search and didn't think anything of it until i just checked my credit card history and have found 2 charges for $19.95 each from this place, thankfully neither of the charges went through. declined says card is expired my credit card compnay must know something i didn't because card is good until 2011 and other charges cleared very same day this scammer was declined.

i just check my credit card bill and there is a charge of 19.95 and i never sign up for this. yes i did a search for .99 cents but no where did i see that i was signing for this. i called and waited about 45 minutes and still no one was going to pick up.

I also saw this number listed on my credit card.  I purchased a 1 day Intelius.com search and evidently this is embedded in that.  i called the company and they are unwilling to credit it back.  This is just another attempt to take advantage of people.  I am going to file a complaint with the Better business bureau.

How are these people not in jail for this?

They are charging my account $21.00 month.. never signed up for it..  called the number and got a confusing URL for "intellys"..  very deceiving.  I want it stopped!!!!

Same story, though I don't recall ever doing a search.  They tried to tell me I did it thru Google - BS.  I agree - they should be prosecuted for the manslaughter I would commit if one of them walked in front of my car.

The business name is: Intelius Inc. (Researchers of Record), and they are located in Bellevue Washington.

This company has charged my Master Card Account for the past 4 months and I know nothing about this.  Please contact me as to how to handle this.  I just cleared another unknown charge on this account. Hope to hear from you soon.
