this all sounds to good to be true.the man i called ,because i received a promo deal for walmart,then said i called just in time,and a live person gets on phone ,offers you coupons to different stores,ask you questions about how you pay for purchases,and stupid me starts to think this is a good deal,but once he asked for my debit card i knew this was a good scam,i never gave it to him,told him to call back after i talked to my boyfriend.to all you f  in scammers shame on you,pumks

I called to see who it was, and this person who sounded puerto rican started telling me what i won. than he asked where i live and how i would be paying a four dollar shipping fee.

I RECIEVE THESE MESSAGES ALL THE TIME AND WHEN I ONCE CALLED A MAN WITH A STRONG ACCENT ANSWERED I HUNG UP RIGHT AFTER THAT BECAUSE I KNEW BY HIS VOICE THAT IT WAS A SCAM.

After falling for their scam, I did some research and cancelled my card immediatly. I feel so stupid.

I was text and told thanks for visiting our site and they told me i won a $25 gift card from wal-mart and a $25 gift card from VISA.They told me to call 1-866-867-9107,i did and some puerto rican woman answered the phone. I told her i never visited any web site and signed up for anything,and i wanted to be taken off their list and she wanted to know why i did not want to take advantage of this,i told her it was a scam she told me to text unsubscribe so i did,i got a text back saying i would be off their list and i would not recieve anymore charges?? Charges i thought so i called them back and got the same lady,and i asked her if i was being charged for anything and she would not anwser me,i finally said   i will keep calling back until you tell me yes or no if i was charged for anything and she said no.I never gave anybody my personal info so i realy dont know how they would charge me and they never used my name.Hopefully that's the last i hear from those scammers.

I have gotten a text message several times to call this number for a gift card, and it is always for someone named Albert. I am NOT Albert.

I called AT&T and reported them.  AT&T also pointed me to a web site mymessages.wireless.att.com which allowed me to block any more Spam TXT.

Please everyone let's get after this so we can get it stopped!!!!!

I just received this message to except it was for a target gift card and they did have my correct name which i thought was weird because my phone is under my husbands name so i dont know how they got it :/

My husband recieved a phone call about the $25 dollar walmart card, I called the number back and told them I saw any charges on my CC that I would call the police and report them, but after reading all this I am going to do it anyway.

I got a text from on of those 5-6 digit text numbers telling me to call this number too. I could barely understand the woman with a thick accent. She said I won a $50 dollar target gift card and that she would send it off with some medical stuff if I payed a 6-something dollar shipping fee. She wanted a credit or debit card number to cover it. I have a feeling this is a scam.

SCAM, never give a credit card # over the phone. although she told me where i lived and my first and last name i am not giving her my personal information. i learned my lesson and before they took an extra 25$ off my card.

That happened to me too! Except i didn't call because I knew it was a scam and that I didn't text them. They said my name was Jenna, too. I never use my phone number for anything. I recently started using Myxer and Phonezoo again, but they have never done this in the past.

must be an automated text message, because I just received the same thing except the name was changed to Mackie.  It must be a scam because I never win anything.

I got a text using my name, LEE, and saying I won a $25 gift card for wal-mart. i called the number but just got a message saying "your call is important to us, please stay on the line..." That's when I googled it and found this post. def a scam.

At 5:12p today, June 14, 2010 I received an unwanted text from 58142 saying, " Hi VIRENDER, Thx4 visiting. Call 888-210-9015 to claim your free $25 Wal-Mart Gift Card voucher. Your bonus code is f7836e8. txt STOP 2unsub." I called the number to tell them to never text me, got a loop of We value your call please wait on the line for the next available agent...that played for a few minutes and I was disconnected before a person answered. I don't text, but do receive and send email within my data plan with Verizon. Text messages have a per text fee. I feel angry when I have to pay Verizon for spam texts.

Actually I received an unsolicited text message from 58142 which had the above number in the text.

I did not visit any Web site nor is my name Lucille.  This is a credit card phishing scam and/or an identity theft ring.  I contacted T-Mobile and they said they would block this number and not charge me 20 cents for the incoming spam.  I chose not to reply back to 58142 because that would only verify my cell phone number and I would receive more spam.

Never give your credit card number or any other personal information out to unsolicited scammers like this!

Received both of these as TEXT messages yesterday which Verizon tells me I have to call back on yet again at the end of the billing cycle to have any charges removed. I use this account for private, limited use so do not know how or why my number got out there.
