Gentleman (with a very heavy accent) claiming to be from Office Depot to verify account information - called my cell phone, with I never give out to businesses.  Asked him to not call back again.

I've had a new phone number for 3 weeks and have received a call from this number several times a day, sometimes in the middle of the night. There is never anyone there. There is initially some background noise but then just a continuous beeping sound.

Just though i'd post this do not give out you're information to anyone who calls from this number.  I'm work fo the business division of office depot and we just had a meeting that this number is trying to get log in and password info for the bsd website.  this is a scam

I have also received multiple calls from this # on my cellphone.  Sometimes multiple in one day.  I never answered the calls as I don't answer calls on my cellphone that I don't know the number.  On 8/31, however, I decided to answer the call - there was NO response when I answered, just dead air.  It called AGAIN immediately after I answered, and when I answered the 2nd time, just dead air.  I called my cellphone service provider today (Verizon) to ask if they could block this number - no go.  However, they did advise that the FCC has made it illegal for solitation calls to be made to cellphones.  So I did file a formal complaint with the FCC and urge anyone else receiving these calls to do that same.  As an aside, I've also registered my family's cell phone numbers and our residential # on the Do Not Call registry.  The FCC complaint form can be found at: www.fcc.gov.

i have missed calls on my cell phone about 20 times from this number...call backs result in the busy signal....

Called today and nothing but background noise... so I let them hear my background noise too... typing their number into google!

They have called every day (to my home number) for the past 2 months.  When ever we answer, then don't say anything but there are people in the background talking.

I received several calls asking for someone I don't know.  The fourth time this happened I changed my answer from "you have the wrong number" to "you have reached my personal cell phone - I don't know the person you are looking for - please stop calling me". I was told they would mark this as a bad number.  Now I continue to receive the calls but they hang up when I answer.

This number has called our office and when I answer it, they hang up.

The call came in as usual today.  Out of couriosity, I answered.  I had to say "Hello" 3 times before I finally got a response (you could otherwise hear many conversations in the background).  The woman who spoke spoke English with a Latin accent.  She identified herself as calling from Office Depot.  (We do have an Office Depot account.)  She asked to speak to the person who places our orders, which happens to be me.  She asked if we had the current Office Depot catalog, which we don't, so she said she's send us one -- and repeated off to me our mailing address, which I confirmed.  She then asked if she could send us some Office Depot promotional information to our email address.  Again, she read off and confirmed our email address.  At no point did I give her any information about us (phone numbers, mailing address, email addresses, acct numbers, etc.) -- she seemed to already have all this info.  So, other than the fact that this person spoke as though she was reading from a scrip (likely), this seemed to be a legimate call from Office Depot (at at least from whatever call-center they contracted with to make these calls on their behalf).  She did start asking typical marketing questions ("how many people to do buy for?" etc.), but I declined to answer any of those questions.  If these were some kind of scam, I don't see what the attempted scam was, as she never asked me for any of my or my company's information -- she seemed to have it all already.

Weird.  But hopefully harmless.  

Now that I've actually taken the call, we'll see if these daily calls now stop.

We have not answered the phone for any of these, which is our usual policy for anything "unknown" or "800 Service," unless the 800 number is one we recognize from somewhere.

They (whoever "they" are) are calling our main business line.  I have answered the call once or twice, and there's no one there.  Calls come in a couple times a week, and I now just note Caller-ID and ignore.  They never leave a message in our voicemail box.

We are a business and receive 3 or 4 calls from this number a day. They almost always hang up as soon as we answer, and then when we try to call back the line is busy. Does anyone have any idea how to be removed from their list? The calls are driving us crazy!

I've been barraged with calls in the last week by this number--sometimes a man and other times a woman, both with very heavy Spanish accents. They may be calling re: Office Depot, but I've never completely understood, and they ask for the person in charge of purchasing. I finally gave them our company's main number and told them to remove mine. I also called our corporate HQ and warned them of this number, so they will not deal with them either. I hope someone can stop these scammers!

I've been receiving calls everyday from this number. The first time I picked up, they said it was Office Depot. They call at least 1x per day now (for 2 weeks) and I don't answer. I had assumed they'd give up, but now I'm going to have to tell them to knock it off.

Called on 7/10/07 from home depot regarding wanting to speak
with the authorized person to purchase goods.  Informed them
that this was a private cell phone number registered with
National DO NOT CALL registry.  Said she would take my name off
their list.  They better.

Received a call from this number at the office today.  The lady said her name was Sharon (with a heavy accent) from Office Depot and she wanted to confirm our account.  I told her she would need to speak with my manager, but he was out of the office and asked if he could call her back.  She said no, she would call back later.  Strange to me since we don't order from Office Depot.

Number has called twice (June 29 and July 5). No answer when the phone is answered. Tried to call back. Number is always busy.

I received this phone call (on my cell phone!) from (I could not understand the man's accent)...finally identifying to say he was calling from Office Depot. I found it immediately strange, and said he had a wrong number.  I have a feeling it may have been like "spam" ...I'll have to see if I get a lot more spam calls now....ugh.

They left a voice mail where I couldn't tell if they were laughing or crying softly.  They said something that I couldn't make out and hung up.

A guy named Jorge from Office Depot to confirm if we have used our account recently and offreign a new user ID & password if we haven't?????????????

call from 888-217-9056, sounds of woman's voice & office in background, said hello 3x, no response.

this phone number keeps calling the office and there is never anyone on the other line... ugh.
