Everyone,
Please send me an email jacqvillanueva02@gmail.com if you have been scammed by these people. I'm trying to bring this to court/international court and it would be helpful if more people will come out and become a part of this case. They have been doing this to people for years and it's time to put an action against the humiliating Filipino telemarketers who allow themselves to be enslaved by the scam artists in Mexico.

Hi,
Can you tell me the name of the company that this girl works for in the Philippines? They have been scamming people in Canada and I think it's time to lobby something in the Phils to monitor these businesses illegal activities

I got a call at my house phone at 803pm today and they wanted to speak to my mom. I told them that my parents dont understand english well and the philipino guy was like let me offer it to you after I told him no one in my household was interested. Then he kept going on. I got aggravated I asked do you not understand the word NO and spelt it out for the guy like N-O!. He then hung up. Also a "vacation package".

It was a filipino telemarketer - it's pretty obvious they target listed phone numbers with obviously filipino or filipino sounding last names.
(I've gotten a similar type of call before from a filipino telemarketer selling phone plans and asked me if I called the Philippines. I told them no and they promptly hung up.)
An "Amy from Texas" called and asked for "Ms (insert my last name here)". She started her speech about a trip to Cancun she was offering. I already knew it was a telemarketing call, so I was prepped and ready to go.
Me: How did you get my number?
"Amy": We have it on a database
Me: How'd it get on that database?
Amy: We have your travel history. (How this makes sense I don't know)
Me: Oh okay, so if you have my travel history, then you'd know I've already been to Cancun.
Amy: Where in Cancun?
Me: I went to Cancun. It's not that big of a place. Have you been to Cancun?
Amy: Yes.
Me: Oh yea? Which resort did you stay in?
Amy proceeds to name the resort she stayed in which were obviously the same ones she was going to try to sell.
Amy: How long ago did you go to Cancun?
Me: Two years ago.
Amy: So maybe it's a good time to go back.
I interrupt her with my own line of questioning again.
Me: Did you go clubbing in Cancun?
Amy: (getting annoyed that she's now the one answering questions) I can do whatever I want in Cancun.
Me: I can do whatever I want in Cancun too, so I don't really need you to sell me whatever your selling.
Amy starts rambling and talking (which I assumed was the rest of her script/speech) and tries to tune me out.
I proceed to then talk OVER her in a loud voice calling her fake name - "AMY. AMY. AMY. AMY."
She stops her talking and tells me a whispered but very clear "f*** you" and hung up on me. I was completely shocked but at the same time pleased with myself that I got to her.
BEST TELEMARKETING REVENGE EVER.

Wow...I have been talking to this Dianne Cassandra Versoza...is she a scam artist? She goes by Casssometimes, and sometimes Dianne.
I know she works in Cancun, very cute girl but theres something suspicious about her. Why should I beware of her like one of the posters suggested?

Why is it when ILLEGAL telemarketers call - everyone ASSUMES their phone # was SOLD?
Ilegal telemarkters -are NOT USING LISTS at all.
They use ILLEGAL ROBOT DIALERS that dial every number in sequence. That is why they VIOLATE the DONOTCALL laws and call those who have registered on DONOTCALL.GOV ( which of course most people NEVER BOTHER TO FILE COMPLAINTS with)
That is also why when you tell them stop calling - they just hang -up.
if they were LEGIT - they are required to SCRUB their phone lists against do not call registry lists FIRST.
| Suzan 2010-06-18 14:34:03 Unknown |
Yeah John, these crooks have a way of collecting phone#s. Ours is actually very new, just a few weeks residential line -- my husband & I never ever hands residential line to other people, not even to friends. We only gave it to government bodies. Hmm I kinda suspect our telcomm must have sold our # to those marketing guys coz I'm pretty sure the "government bodies" will never do such a thing.
Well, it sure doesn't mean that the husbands are cheating online LOL. ==>BUT "men" are very vulnerable as target of these telemarketing ladies. Men are just weak when it comes to ladies' charm ^_* My husband is a very loyal person, but I am "aware" that any man can be very polite to the opposite sex and therefore can be easily persuaded--especially by a pretty, charming lady. That's a fact.

They called me agian, same old story I won a trip. I asked how they got my number? They said their company did a marketing survey. I asked her to please explain what that means to her. She says marketing survey. I said I know what one is but your still not telling me how your company got got my number. She then hung up the phone.

I have been registered on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY FOR WELL OVER 1 YEAR and they still call. At least 2 times per week and they are rude and argue with you. We have sworn at them and they still call. My husband even speaks the language and is frustrated and has just hung up on them. we just answer and hang up. I have put in a couple complaints to the CRTC and we will wait to see if anything happens. They seem to be targeting the FILIPINOS abroad.

Hey REPORT SUCH ABUSE! In Canada we have a law against fraudulent telemarketers!
Read==> http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/dncl/brochure_consumer.htm
What is the National Do Not Call List? (DNCL)
Every year, thousands of Canadians raise concerns about receiving unwanted telemarketing calls. In 2006, the federal government passed a law allowing for the creation of a National Do Not Call List (DNCL) that all telemarketers must respect. When you sign up to have your cellular, home phone or fax number included on it, companies making unsolicited marketing or sales calls can no longer contact you.
Go to www.dncl.gc.ca or call 1-866-580-DNCL (866-580-3625) to register your number on the National DNCL. You can manage your privacy. It?s your choice.

Our residential line received 5x consecutive evening calls (10pm-1130pm) this week, from #1 888 238 4817. Telemarketers are all Filipinas who claims that OUR PHONE# HAS BEEN SELECTED FOR SPECIAL PROMO DISCOUNT ON CANCUN MEXICO TRAVEL PACKAGE(NO AIRFARE, JUST HOTEL & ACCOMMODATION). Asked how they got our #, they simply said we were REFERRED BY OUR CREDITCARD & TOP AIRLINES THAT WE CURRENTLY USED.
My husband was the 1st to answer politely.Apparently, he seemed too nice for the agents.A female agent transfers the call to her "supervisor"Ms. Alex Wayne. They were v persistent & since my husband couldn't just hung up he passed phone to me to deal with the ladies. I simply said, "U can give us your phone# & we will contact U if we're interested." I asked for the name which they hesitantly gave.
The very next evening, again a lady telemarketer asked TO SPEAK TO MY HUSBAND.When I told her WE WERE SUPPOSED TO CALL "IF" we're INTERESTED--she said "YOUR HUSBAND ASKED US TO CALL BACK." To which I replied "I DONT THINK SO BECAUSE I WAS THE LAST ONE TO SPEAK TO U LADIES JUST LAST NIGHT." Then she hangup.
Again the following nite, I answered&there was silence. I think they recognize my voice, as the fiery wife and they just hangup but I'm sure it's them because of the same NOISY BACKGROUND. Few hours later again we were about to sleep (1030+) they called to speak to my husband. I raised my voice and asked them back "DO U KNOW WAT TIME IT IS!" to which they simply replied in a condescending way "OwwwwKaaayy, ByeBye".
I am beginning to wonder how they got our # because it's a newly acquired line (over a month old) and so far we've only given our # to Canada government bodies and NONE to friends yet.
Could it be that our telcomm provider sells our # to these telemarketing companies?

they rudely hung up on me when I kindly asked them to take my home number off their list. I called back and it was customer service -- it was the same lady 'Camille' and she did not deliver customer service. she hung up on me after requesting the same thing
hahahaa nakaka-awa lang. trying to do business with that attitude --- low education nga talaga. Hindi marunong and yes -- nakakahiya for us na mga marunong.
| Ron 2010-06-06 03:10:23 Unknown |
The offer is legitimate, but the way they sell it is unacceptable and deceiving. Why can't they just tell the truth in selling the package?
