YEAH,THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SCAM AND I'M GONNA REPORT THEM TO THE BBB THEY CHARGED ME 19.95 FOR A SERVICE I DID NOT WANT NOR DID I RECIEVE. I also recieved charges to my MC for 27.95 a month.  Did not authorize it and not happy about it.  Same with classmates...Did not authorize it.  Have no need for either......

I do not know how they got my bank card number, but they continue to take money from me. I have called and insisted my money to be put back and have had no luck. HELP

Thank you for your information.  I just cancelled my Value Plus, which I have been trying to do for a week.  Now I will cancel the card so they can't charge me again...This needs to be sent to a TV station so they can warn other fools like me.

I have to go back through my statements... I don't recall signing up with Classmate at all.

I was scammed too.  How do I get refund without further scamming?

Can you tell me who this company is? I keep getting charged and don't know why.

It's bad when companys link into other companys and have telemarketers linking services and charges without your knowledge that will create a charge from your bank account.

I received 6 charges on a debit care from this phone number for 1.15 a piece

They charged $29.95 to my debit. Called the number and they said they would refund my money. Have no idea who they are.

this number along with 888-239-3919 and 888-697-0719 illegally debited five charges from account.

I had sign up with classmates for a one year subsciption $19.95 somehow they have deduct three times for the same amount I report to bank and did a unauthorized claim to the bank  Union Bank has reimburse thank god but before that I got a call trying to make say that I did ok for the deduction which I didnt I cancel my atm and request a new one look for this 888-239-0316 in your bank statement.

As stated, it is from Privacy Matters 123.  Apparently you have 7 days to cancel after signing up for "free" and if you don't cancel they charge you.  Call the number and they will refund the fee with no hassle whatsoever.

If you renewed Classmates.com this was part of the renewal if you didn't cancel within 7 days.  I called to see what it was, they were very nice explaining this, I received a cancelation e-mail from them with a credit memo to my account.

Looks like their doing this quite often, i dont have an account with Classmates.com, that i can find, but they charged my debit card 24.95.
They're just scam artists.

Thank you for this.  I have been charged 3x on my credit card for $24.95 each, coinciding with the time I signed up for a "gold" membership on Classmates.

Reviewed bank statement and this company has billed me twice.  I have never applied for any classmates membership.  I plan to call them first thing Monday morning.

I called, they cheerfully said they would credit my card.  Just saw where  (instead of a credit) they charged my card again!!!!!

It is called contunality billing.  Just saw a special about the company selling enzyme crap that was for male enhansment (remember, theres (smiling) B0b?  Well that company did the same thing.  Once they got your cc no they billed you like this every month.  It was all a scam.  They raked in $250,000.000 (yes, that os the right no of zeros).

Well the guy that dreamed it up is serving 25 years in prison.  They were class action law suits for millions.  But, he was fined by the Gov. for $496 million I think it was, so they'll probably get their money first, but I did see where one guy said he received $17,000 from the class action suit.  But, note that obviously a lot of guys did not want to be on camera talking about it, considering the subject.:).

I'm calling them Monday threatning a class action suit if they do not refund all of my money.  I obviously would not have knowingly signed up for a credit monitoring service, with unlimited free access to my credit reports, when I already had it with another (legitament) company.

Guys, watch out!  Another co bought the name of the suposed enzyme, and good old smiling Bob still appears in ads for that co.

My bank just notified me of what they thought were fraudulent charges from this phone number, 888-239-0316.  They canceled my credit card immediately.

So I had been getting a call from an 800# for many months now and since there was never any name under the number on my caller ID, I just wouldn't answer it. Today I decided to put the 800# into Google and see what came up. Well, it brought me to a site with a lot of people complaining about fraudulent charges on their Capital One card and they received a call from the same 800# that I did, which obviously had originated from Capital One, themselves. Some said they thought the call was legit, some said they think that the Capital One fraud number had been compomised and is outsourced to a scam without them knowing about it. Either way, I decided to check my Capital One statements. Well, I normally just pay the bill and since I do a lot of online buying, I quickly scan the billing statement without paying too much attention to each item listed. But now I was paying attenion, and found that since April 2010, for just about a whole year now, I had been charged $29.95 for MVQ Best Benefits and Privacy. I really don't remember doing this and I really don't know what it is. I actually pay all my own bills by MAIL, not even online, although I do order things online. I have also gone onto the website for 'People Finders', and may be they got my information that way. So I called Capital One, they suggested I call the number of MVQ which was listed on my statement. I called the MVQ number and after going through their automated message system, I got the answer that my "account' was cancelled August 2010. But I have been continually billed on my Capital One credit card since April 2010 and am still being billed up to my current March 2011 statement !!! This is over $450 that should not have been billed to my account in the first place. I called MVQ and heard a recorded message about their soliciting about health care insurance issues which may be what they're all about, health coverage.. I work full time for the couny government where I live and have full health care coverage benefits, and also because I am 65, I also have Medicare to supplement it. I certainly wouldn't sign up for any type of health insurance coverage when I am already completely covered by my full time government job and also Medicare as a back up.  When I pressed '0' to speak to a representative of MVQ, since it was Sunday morning, they said the office was closed. But they are open M-F Central time until 11PM. I am definitely going to call them when I get home from work on Monday. Capital One said that if I do not get any satisfaction from them, then to call Capital One back and let them know. If MVQ has me listed as having an account with them (which was never an open account to start with) and it's listed as cancelled in August 2010, then how come they have been continually billiing me since then, right !!! These people have got to go. This is ridiculous, how they find out information on people and scam them just because they use a particular website and possibly click on the wrong item by reading mis-information, which is not  fully explained correctly, is criminal. What a scam!  Possibly MVQ should be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
