Colin Morgan called me about a pay day loan I paid off 4yrs ago. He told they were going to serve me paper. At first I got nerve but I knew I paid this off 4 yrs ago. I told him I had to contact the company I used to pay this. He goes they are no longer in business, so would you like to make a payment
I said no I will get back to him and for him to sent me a email. Thank God I save the email from the company he said I owed. I called and faxed him the letter. He never called me back, this was a scam. No one showed up at my job. If I didn't have this email. He would have scam me out of money
I wish there was a way to sue his a** and this company

These white trash scumbags crossed the line when they made threats when I did not hire them to collect for me.
They called me back from a funny phone number and made me fear for my personal safety,
If they treat the people that need to collect a bad debt this way I wonder how they treat the people they are collecting from
I wonder how long before we hear about these people on the federal news and the lame texas laws that allow them to
operate..
I filed a complaint with the FBI...these people may be terrorist..

If thats all they have then they'd be hard pressed to get the rest of it. Still, it wouldn't hurt to place fraud alerts on your credit and with the bank account and CC's.
Your entitled to a free credit report once a year. Best to send those request in. You can print them out and mail them. One of them has a bad habit of trying to get paid for that regardless or sign you up for a monthly check..
credit reports: Experian, Equifax, TransUnion

And finally, make sure you read up on your rights and file reports accordingly..
Please do file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,FTC & FCC..

I spoke with a lady named sue she was pleasant and kind. Gave me an email of a debt I owed from a pay day loan company. I owed this debt and I AM MAKING PAYMENTS TO THEM. I have had no problems or issues with this company. I think the real problem is people find excuses to not honor there debts.

please report any violations of the FDCPA to the NYS Attorney General by calling 716-854-8404. if they threaten to arrest you, please report it. this is a serious criminal violation. please record all calls when possible and give to them. Not paying a debt is NOT a criminal charge, it is a civil charge

These people are the worst kind of bottom feeder collectors. FIRST, they can not ever send a uniformed officer to your home to collect any kind of debt. It doesn't happen. All they could do (if they are the primary owner of the account) is file a claim in small claims court for the debt which they ususally won't pursue. SECOND, if they claim to be attorney's cross reference their name with the bar association registry for their state and your state. If they are not truly an attorney file a formal complaint with the bar association and the Attorney General for your state and their state. It is a felony to misrepresent oneself as a member of the bar or officer of the court and the courts take these claims quite seriously. Talk about jail time. When they call simply say "Who am I speaking with? What company are you with? Can I get your address please?" Once you have that information say "Thank you [NAME]. I just want you to be aware that I am recording our conversation today and it can be used as evidence in an investigation or in court as I deem fit. If you continue on this call you are giving consent on behalf of yourself and your company to record this call." EVEN IF YOU DONT RECORD IT - tell them you are and they should behave themselves. My recommendation, of course, is to record it and forward the call on to the FTC or attorney general should the need arise.

Bryant and Benjamin is going down in flames. Recorded more than twenty calls. Turning it all over to the FTC, AG, and possibly the FBI, false claims. Not a law firm.

These scumbags have violated the FTC rules on debt collecting. The phone number they call from in BUffalo is a pay day loan office, not an attorneys office as they claim. They claim to be paralegals, and supposedly have sent summons to my address in Ohio. Everytime they call, I just laugh at them now, because my phone records them, and I have forwarded their threats to the NY Attorney generals office, and the FTC. They have many complaints on this company already, who will probally change their number soon and just start over with a new number. Called my work, my sister, my mother, and every other reference on a payday loan from 2005. THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!
| Luke M. 2010-11-05 01:05:51 Debt Collector |
They called me and lied about being attorneys. I looked them up, and they do not exist. Funny though when I googled their number, I found want ads seeking debt collectors on Monster. com. They are NRG and associates out of Buffalo New York. Report them to your local attorney general if they call you. They threatened me with officers to my house, and lied about a summons to court.
| Derek B. 2010-11-05 00:57:53 Debt Collector |
THis is a total scam,. They say that they are attorneys, they are not. They are NRG of Buffalo ny. Pay day loan collectors. They break every rule in the book. Abbott recovery, Bryant and Benjiman, are other names they use. They will not give out their address. They will hang up on you if you ask for their address, and claim to be sending uniformed officers if the debts are not paid. I reported them to the attorney general in New York, and California, and New Mexico. They are a total rip-off, don't let them bully you. Record them when they call, so that you can prove they have used illegal tactics to collect, and tell them you are recording them.
