Yep, they got me too...  Figured WTH might as well give em a shot when they called, I've been shopping around for toner suppliers anyways.  2 Weeks after we got the toners we started getting inundated with calls for a free gift card they wanted to send.  When I didn't return their calls about the gift card they started hounding the receptionist saying that they just shipped more toner and we had to pay for it.  Luckily the receptionist can't pay for anything.  So I called back to tell them not to send anything and Ruth was kind enough to threaten to call the CEO of the company and explain the situation to him, told her to go ahead as I know I was in the right. That woman has some serious issues and is a royal b*tch. Then called back to 310-574-4400 and spoke to Mike(?) who said he would send some return labels so I could return the unused toners and he would call back to discuss refunding us?  Seriously?  We never, and will never, send them any money so why do I need a refund?

SCAMMERS through and through.

I also received an unsolicited call from 888-241-6899 from a very talkative sales person. There justification was that their color cartridge will produce 50 percent more than the HP high capacity cartridge. I agreed to try it because I was informed if their cartridge did not produce as claimed, I would not have to pay for it and I was to keep the cartridges. I agreed to accept a package of two. After two weeks without receiving the cartridges, I call the above number and informed the lady who answered the call. After awhile she found the account, but had no explanation as to why they were not shipped. I CANCELED the order. The lady accepted the cancellation and apologized for the mix up.  I had made other calls to the above number which was always answered by a person. I shall see IF they cancel the order.

Thanks folks, they almost got me! Since we used to order office products from the OfficeMax offshoot Reliable my boss thought they were affiliated, but I wanted to feel totally sure of who I was dealing with (last time I got toner played was about 30 years ago, and it still stings) so I asked him to call back tomorrow to finalize any acceptance of his product. It got more fishy as the conversation were on. Through googling the phone number to do my due diligence I wound up here. Thanks for saving my bacon!

Roxy Lane called selling printer ribbon. She was going to send me a free cartridge and If I liked it I could pay after I tried it out. I called back to cancel and the company said they never heard of "Roxy Lane". I told them to cancel my order. They are probably toner pirates.

Nancy Peck called. She wanted to sell toner. If you need toner, you call call her at 800-795-2888 extension 8674.

I declined.

If you want to have fun with them, make up a printer model that doesn't exist but by a brand that does exist. Have them spin their wheels trying to track down the printer and model number. Swear that it is a new model, out for only a couple months and that you're a high-volume user so you're very interested in their product and how they can save you money.

i just got a call from Matt and i must say, he was one of the rudest sales-holes ive ever talked to. i knew by his tone that he was a scammer, and politely told him i am happy with our supplier, but he kept pushing. I told him I had too much work to do, and he said he would call back later.
then i checked the BBB page, and now i cant wait for his return call(lol).

Recieved a call from Evan at this # last week. Listen to his speal of $8.35 for an okidata ribbon. I told him I would check with my manger to see if the pricing is adequate (just to get him off the line). Before he gave me the phone number he put me on hold and another operator came on and explained the other guy was new at this and then he began his speal. Told me the above price and gave me the number. I did not call back. The next day around 10am he called and was friendly I told him we were not interested and hung up. Now ever since then (about a week and a half now) he calls around 10am with real smart alex remarks. I just hang up.

The printing outputs of Epson ink cartridges can make you convincing to purchase these cartridges again. It is all the quality of ink of Epson which retain its valued customers.

hello..I am another fool of these characters..I went through the same experience as most of you did..just last month we finished paying for the last of 6 cartridges they bamboozled me into receiving and I get a call from Roger Doyle stating I will receive my gift cards and from where did I want them..oh and by the way your next batch is on its way..before receiving the last six he sent me a closing letter stating each invoice number and that once those were paid my account would be closed and I was to receive no more product unless I requested it...I told him this and he became very rude and aggresive and said no that I still had 12 more cartridges since we had a 2 year contract. I then told him ok and when will I receive them and the closing letter so I could expect the shipment he said shipping would contact me and then I would receive my closing letter before the product arrived oh and by the way our company merged with another and you will receive your product from Century Computer Products Inc. Right after this I googled them and found a lot of negative information which I am grateful for and I sent them a fax to 2 numbers I had to the attention of Mr. Doyle saying that we had paid for all the cartridges we had received in full and are at a 0 balance and have no contract with them as previously stated in our conversation and I attached 3 closing letter I had from their company as well as an online article I found regarding these two companies that are now one in the same. I just received a call from Century stating they have received my fax and it was shown to the owner and he wanted someone to call me and assure me that nothing else would be sent and that my company would be taken off their calling list and he apologized for any inconvenience this had caused me. I just hope this is true and I never hear from them again...DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM EITHER OF THESE COMPANIES!!!

I worked for them too and you are right on! Our manager in Rohnert Park said if an owner picks up hang up, Even if we had an interested owner we were told to never call them back, just throw it away! (little paper..with leads on them) He would scream all day at us. Shake his head back and forth whining ohhhhhhhhh my God!  Then listen in on our calls interupt our calls by screaming across the room, telling us what to say. He was a on a platform behind us with this great big desk...made him feel bigger. We were against the wall facing it because he said we wouldn't get distracted looking out the windows.  What windows???So he watched our backends the whole time like we were in some Nazi sweat shop and he was the BOSS! We had top read this obnoxious  8 pg script over and over to them. It reminded me of what a brainwashing tear you down cult might do to someone to get the robotic effect. No questions just do what we say it works! Every morning this idiot would give little stupid words of encouragement on how he and his girl friend read this to each other everymorning. Problem is they never made an impression or made sense. This guy was a nightmare, very self obsorbed nut case that when I was laid off I was thankful. I wanted to quit first, but he got there first. I am not the only one, there was a constant parade of layoffs and quiters! That day was so liberating! Phew!

I received the Gift Cards. But experienced the same thing as everyone else. I ordered a single set of cartridges for a dell 3110CN. The price over the phone seemed like an okay price. But then he added an extra black cartridge and after the fact told me that the only way to get that price was by ordering 3 sets, and they charged $115 for shipping.

Just got off the phone with Matt & Jim from Reliable Printing (BOULDER CO LOCATION). I asked if they had a web site and he said it was only for re-orders not a site to order sales person free.  I asked how their prices held up and he compaired. They were higher but his pitch was the 3 x longer. But he one upped me by saying they were made in the USA. Well that would sell me in a heart beat, but something told me to google the conmpany and here I am writing this.  Before Jim could close the sale with me, I told him I was reading that his company was a scam! and I hung up quickly.  DON'T BE SCAMMED. ALWAYS CHECK THESE INK PLACES OUT. THEY ARE CRAFTY AND THEIR PRODUCTS ARE LEAKY AND CRAPPY.  NEVER BUY FROM THEM!

Ask them if you were to make a payment, where would you send the payment to?  If they give you a PO box, tell them that you have to send it via UPS or Fed Ex to verify delivery, and you need a physical street address to send it to.  Rather than send a payment, send the crappy cartridges with a note stating why you are returning them, your attorney's contact information and with that, a copy of your complaint to the BBB.  Chances are this will solve your problem.  They do tend to resolve any complaints that are made against them to the BBB so they can try to cover their F rating with the fact that any complaint that has been waged has been resolved to the customer's satisfaction and try to convince you that it is just a few bad apples out of "thousands" of happy customers.  As a general rule, if anyone ever calls unsolicited and asks for the name or model of a printer or copier you have do NOT give them ANY information.  Unfortunately these sleaze bags aren't the only ones out there and once they have your information, most times they will send out a "trial" toner and that's how they get the ball rolling.  If a company is unable to, or simply refuses to provide you with a pricing list of what they carry or a web address where you can look things up on your own time, you probably don't want to do business with them.  Another favorite way to dupe people is to call and say that they are from a company you have a service contract with "Hi, I'm calling from the company that you have contracted to service your copiers and printers" (notice that they don't give you the name of the company) and they say that they need to update and make sure that all of their information and model numbers for all of your printers and/or copiers are correct.  Most times if you just ask for the name of their company, they will simply hang up on you and move on to the next target rather than waste time with someone that asks questions.  This is just another way to scam unsuspecting people out of their hard earned money.  I really wonder how people like that can sleep at night and be even remotely OK with themselves.
