800Notes is not a call blocking service. You are going to have to do this yourself. Contact your telecommunications provider for assistance in blocking the calls or invest in a device which can be programmed to automatically reject unwanted calls.

I got a call wanting to know if I had Medicare and was suffering from backpain.  I said no to each and he hung up.  The guy had an accent.  The call-back number said:  _09-366-5775.   So they suppressed the first digit of the area code.  I think these are the same people talked about here.

I'm sure they will call  again and I'll have the opportunity to record their scam.  I'll play along as long as I can

My mother received the same call from a US Healthcare Supply Co.  Professing to be linked to Medicare & offering to send "free" prosthetics for back or knee pain. Thankfully I intercepted the call. First clue--the person calling sounded like they were calling from India. I was transferred to 3 different individuals, the last claimed her name was Laura Hamilton--sounded odd with her Indian accent. The last caller wanted her Medicare & AARP insurance policy numbers "to ensure she was legitimately covered by Medicare", before sending products. I I refused to give this info over the phone. She assured me her line was "secure". Being the skeptic--if sounds too good to be true...I asked for a paper app.be mailed. She tried to reassure me they were secure & legit.  Too bad for her!  Your Medicare # is your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!!  Looks like this has been going on for more than a year (by post dates) & nothing has been done to stop these ppl, despite all the authorities who have been notified!!

I got a phone call from US Supply Co today 855-255-1787 and not a single person in my household is old enough for Medicare nor does anyone have diabetes. I asked them to take me off their list and the guy who said his name was Chris Nieson fom New Jersey with a very thick Indian accent kept trying to tell me about their products. I asked to speak to his manager. I was put on hold and a woman with an indian accent came on the phone and she tried to tell me about their products. I asked to be taken off her list and she asked me my information. I told her I wanted to speak to a manager in the US and she kept asking me about my info. I told her if my number was not taken off their list I would sue their company. She still asked me my name after that which I refused to give her. A total scam. Not a single person I spoke to was on US soil and everyone just tried to get information from me. Do not talk to these people!! Do not give them information!

Someone called me at 3 am in the morning and I couldn't understand a word he was saying. I think he was Chinese or from the Philippines or something. I told him it was too early and that I wanted to sleep but he just kept on blabbering, I ended up hanging up on him. I kinda felt bad to be honest but when he called back blabbering again I had to hang up on him again!

Did anyone hear of a company called WHITE SPREAD?? They claimed they were calling from New York but I?m positive the girl talking to me was from India, I could also hear the weirdest music in the background. They wanted me to buy one bed set for 250 dollars and get another one for free? Told me it?s Egyptian cotton and that the colors never fade? I played along and asked her if they ever stained, told me no because they are anti-staining. When I asked how, she told me it?s because they are made of Egyptian cotton!

I keep getting calls from US medical Supply.  From what I can divine they are NOT in the US.  The accents of their reps are atrocious.  And they follow a script when they call.  I have told them NO I am not interested.  I did not give any information, nor will I. Something is totally wrong here.  It stinks of SCAM!!!!!!  I asked where they are calling from and they said Florida.  No one has such a heavy stilted accent in Florida.

Got a call from a different number than all of you:
1-849-956-5855
Answered it because we get so many solicitation calls and I now LIKE to answer because I might be able to get them to stop, I waited and pressed the number for a representative and when I asked to be taken off of their list he hung up on me! WTH? What a sleazy company. They asked the same questions, did I have back pain on diabetes and of course I don't! I'm 22 years old! MY WORD!!! I can't believe the tactics they are using. I called the number here that you listed and they say they don't make outward calls, as stated above (which is probably BS) and I asked for the number of the companies they use to call us and she said they don't have that number?!?!?! HA! Right!

My mom received the call saying that with her back problems (so they knew she had medical problems), a brace and seat lift would help her, please give me you medicare number and birth date so I may process the  claim.  My mom (who finally learned her lesson from past scams) said to this person, call my daughter and a man from US Health Care Service, Angelo called me, talking real fast, yada yada, give me her medicare number.  So I asked him who approved these devices, who told you my mother would need these items.  So, I told him I would speak to her doctor and get back to him.  crazy!  My mom gets a lot of these types of calls and she gets very upset, she thinks that if she hangs up on them, that they will get mad and come to her house and hurt her.

My mother received a call on Friday from this company. She reluctantly gave them her Medicare number because they promised her free diabetic supplies. We've now called the sheriffs department and her insurance company. This is ridiculous! Preying on the elderly. Sick people!

Got a call this morning from someone at 849-963-4863.  I as shed if I had pain in my back or knees as others in this blog have reported.
I was told that I was being transferred to another person for conformation of my qualifications for Medicare assistance for medical devices etc.  I was further advised to say, "that I read about this from a magazine ad". That I would be transferred directly to the Medicare Provider.
The greeting was from US Healthcare Supply with a representative named Russ Weber.  Note, each of the three different greeters had an accent of some kind.
Russ Weber further qualified me with questions and answers to which I complied, until the need for my Medicare number exactly s it appears on my ID Card.  TOO WHICH I DIDNOT REPLY!
I then Googled and found this blog.

This is a legitimate company, US Healthcare Supply.  The reason you are getting calls from them is because you or someone in your household filled out a survey online stating you are interested in receiving a back brace or diabetic supply item using your insurance benefits.  This is not a scam.  The reason they ask for your personal info such as DOB and insurance number (Medicare #) is so that they can check your insurance benefits to see if you qualify.

Got a telephone call today from a company that showed up on my phone as 786-465-7664, which is not the number above, but the same folks. She (a lady who had a mild chinese or eastern type accent), said she was calling about someone in the house who was on medicare that had filled out information on a web site that they had arthirits and was wondering if they would buy a back brace, knee brace, or any type of brace with their medicare. I told her that I would ask the questions first, before we gave out any information.

First question I asked  was: Where did you get my number?: From a web site that has information on it, the caller said..
2nd Question: Where are you?: North carolina, the caller said.
3rd question: Did someone from this phone number call you? No, I got it from a survery filled out she said.
4th Question: Do you have a web site? Well, by now the caller is very very nervous and wants to hang up. But at last she gives a web site USHSNJ.COM She said.  So I told her I would go there after checking them out. Well I checked them out as best as I could and it lead me to this site. .
Gee, could not find them.
Surprised? Not at all.
Eventually, she got real quiet, said if I was not interested in buying braces that I should hang up. I told her I did not say that and asked her what her problem was, she called me and before I give out info, I wanted somethings from them. Well you guessed it. She hung up. YEA!!! One more scammer in the dumps for us today. We only got at least four different calls today. We really need a way to get these folks arrested, where ever they may be. Some way to stop them from taking up space on our answering machines, etc. And our precious time. USA USA USA USA Go America, Buy America, Buy Local, Know your seller. Less scams, the less the country pays for police, lawyers, internet time, phone bills, time fighting this, We must find better ways to unite to fight this that will not cost us an arm and a leg.

My husband received this same call on Thursday, 9/20/12.  He was interested in getting the back brace and diabetic monitor, which we already have and he does NOT use.  I was telling him in the back ground not to give his medicare number or DOB, but he gave it to them anyway.  I'm not sure what to do now.  Our doctor's office called us about the back brace and other information they wanted them to fax them. I cannot get him to understand how important it is NOT to give out any personal information over the phone.  I was sure it was a scam, but he just did not listen. I'm afraid this will cause lots of trouble in the future.  Online I found the website, saw the place on the map, read everything online and it looks legitimate.  I checked the BBB also and they had three complaints, one was for the items they send out, but they did not really have much negative to say.  I will call the doctor back to make sure they don't send anything.  Also, they sent papers in the mail for him to sign and it says "they will use any means necessary to contact us and our physician, to document my supply needs  ship supplies and bill my insurance"".  It says they will continue to send supplies and refills, which we don't need, Medicare does not pay everything.  I hope my husband does not receive this package and will just return it to them. I am keeping the papers they mailed to us to sign just in case.  AND they sent one for us to give a friend listing all their personal information!

This scam is still in full force.  I got the call this morning.  They asked if I had lower back pain and/or diabetes.  I have both.  They offered a diabetic meter, and a back brace free to me, billed to Medicare.  I did give them my doctor's name, but when they asked for my Medicare number the red flag came up.  Thank God for all the information on TV etc that says never give your SS# to anyone over the phone.  When I said I was wary of giving them the number, a guy named Eric Hank assured me this was not a scam, they were Medicare approved providers, etc.  I asked for an address, and he provided it, along with a phone number, and suggested I check out their website. I told him I'd call him back after I checked.  The website is there, and it looks legit.  I noticed that the phone number listed was different, and nowhere in the website could I find the street address.  On a hunch, I entered the (888)244-0098 phone number, and arrived here.  Thank you ever so much for saving me from doing something stupid!  I called our local law enforcement, and they were well aware of this scam.  Please do not give anyone your personal information, and be sure to tell everyone about this scam.

My mom gave her information as well.  This happened to her yesterday. When I managed to reach these people, I let them know Life Lock was in place.  He just laughed.  Apparently, they are not targeting bank accounts, etc., just Medicare?  I guess this is BIG business in our country and it needs to STOP!!

This just happened to my mom as well but when I contacted these people, they said "Your mom is confused.  We do not make outbound calls".  Interestingly, today these people contacted her doctor.  Luckily, my mom had called her doctor to make him aware NOT to give these people any of her information and NOT to approve the "free knee brace".  NO WONDER OUR COUNTRY IS BROKE!!!!!

My grandmother received a call today asking if she had back pain. She provided all of her information- they asked for her doctors name and medicare number (which is the same as her SSN). She then called me and was concerned about what she had done. I first called lifelock and set her up for monitoring. I then called this number 888-244-0098. Spoke w/ "Zach", when I demanded to know why they were soliciting confidential info from seniors, he said they do not make outbound calls and my grandmother is confused. I informed him that there are many reports of seniors being called- he said they're all confused.  He offered www.ushsnj.com as a "verification" that they were legit and laughed at me when I told him we had covered her with lifelock.  He then said she was qualified for a knee brace (what happened to back pain?) and they were waiting to hear from her doctor. When I questioned his need to know her personal info, as in "why couldn't you just call her doctor who has her info on record" he said the doctor wouldn't know.......? Completely arrogant and not helpful. Do not give your info to these people.  If you need a back brace...knee brace...etc. Go through your doctor for a referral or a reputable medicare supplier.  Legitimate companies will not solicit your personal info over the phone or take advantage of seniors.

My mother received a call from Victoria area code 908-505-1102.  She advised my mother she could send her a back brace and a knee brace at no charge if my mother provided her Medicare ID#, DOB and her doctor's name and contact information.  My mother provided all of the above and advised us after the fact.  Victoria left her contact number as the 1-888-244-0098 number and advised my mother she would call back for my father's Medicare, DOB and doctor's contact information the following day.  My brother and I immediately went to work and sure enough when I called the "888" number somone answered.  I asked to the speak with a supervisor and someone by the name of Michael Francis came on the phone.  He advised me they are a Medicare provider and when I advised him it was illegal to call seniors requesting their confidential information, he denied contacting my mother and indicated they received her information from a Senior Agency, called HPAS.  I immediately called Medicare fraud division, the Federal Trade Commission the HHS Inspector General the NJ (where the business is located) Attorney General and filed complaints. My brother contacted all the Credit Bureaus, her doctors and the local police.  We are still waiting to determine if my mother will receive the items and Medicare will be billed.  She has been advised to refuse delivery of any items shipped to her. I think we will have to purchase Life Lock to ensure we receive alerts.
