this has been happening to me for years.  I did pay back some outstanding payday loans and then found out the company is fake and now I am getting calls from legitmate places about the same loan.  I don't feel I should pay them because somehow these fake companies were able to access my information and go around collecting money.  I live in NY where Payday loans are now not available to anyone in the state because of the interest rates they charge and the security these companies don't have.  Now they want 4X the amount I had outstanding.  So not only did I pay back the loan with interest, now I have to pay it back again with more interest so $300 becomes almost $2,000.

If he is calling your cell phone, it's very easy to save the number under the name "Ignore" (or whatever you want to call it), and then make it so it doesn't ring and goes straight to VM.

If he is calling you on a landline, you can look into a call blocker from Amazon or any electronics store, and you won't ever hear from him again.

I have been getting these calls from this person for nearly a year now and I am very fed up with this person , he is very lucky that I don't know where he works or lives because I would definitely give him a reason to bug me in the future. It's not his responsibility to call his brother and tell him to return the call - and this is most likely a scammer calling anyway.  There are too many people getting scam calls and they DO take care of their responsibilities - so why should someone pay a debt they do not owe?

If you took care of your responsibilities and followed through on your obligations you wouldn't continue to receive calls. Of course if you neglect your obligations you are required to deal with the repercussions by law. You have no one to blame except your self. The best thing to do is not to pass blame but take a long look in the mirror and take responsibility for your actions like an adult.

You should tell your brother to return a phone and take care of his responsibilities. Its your brothers fault your getting the calls you should be mad at him if you feel bothered. The person who called you is just doing there job and is required to contact you in attempt to locate this individual.

I also keep getting calls from this rude man named Brian saying I am facing serious charges yet keeps calling me at work and now I am about to get fired because of it. Lets just say my lawyer will have a hay day with him

These people are claiming to be "looking" for my brother concerning "allegations against him and his social security number". I can tell you this, according to my caller id, the caller's name is Brian Jacobson calling from 310-574-2268. This person has to be the most RUDE, ARROGANT, IGNORANT son of a bi*** around. He claims that MY phone number belongs to my brother! WRONG! I think it's time to put these callers out of business and lock them up period.
