Received call @ work, Mrs. Walter told my receptionist personal information including a court date I allegedly have. When I asked she not call me @ work she hung up. When I called back she screamed, threatened me. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and plan on hiring an attorney. Anyone interested in filing a class action lawsuit please let me know.The company is Conan Schwartz, collector is Ms. Walter and the # is 888-286-3470.

First of all, you should put a block on your phone especially if you use a cell phone because you don't need to use up your minutes on this garbage.  Secondly, I did contact my state attorney general's office since the person who contacted me said I was in default on a payday loan and they would be sending this to check  enforcement in my state.  The AG's offfice not only told me they won't enforce payday loan defaults even if they are legitimate and, secondly, that they are currently busily looking into this scam (her words, not mine) and any information as to phone numbers, etc. would be appreciated.  

These people are employed by a collection agency and only want to get your money in any way they can even if that means lying to do so.  My big alert was when this guy said I needed to get hundreds of dollars to him within an hour!!  Yeah, I may have been born at night but it wasn't LAST night.  Don't waste your time even speaking to these people and don't answer numbers calling your phone that you don't recognize.  If it's someone who actually need to get in touch with you, you'll get a voicemail and can return the call but realize that this "company" has offices throughout the country and call from a variety of different states, so just be aware they will do this and block every number you find out is from them.  If you want to make sure, simply use *67 and then dial the number since they can't trace it back to you and find out the company's name.  The Cohen, Schwartz and Assoc. guise is just a trick by the collection agency.  Trust me, you won't be receiving any legal papers.  It isn't worth a real law firm's time and expense to go after these small amounts.

1-888-286-3470 ext 817 and 1-678-608-3229 Terry and Mr. Phillip and stated to me they were the Div of Cohen & Swartz Associates of Investigator. Today I called them and ask what is this all about and they gave me all my (old) info and went on to say I had by end of the day today with a debit card only to pay a down payment today or they will call my job and summons me to court and let a judge decide whether I commited fraud. I made a few calls and all stated this was a scam. Why are you calling me with totally incorrect information and why do you need only a credit or debit card. Give me an address and I'll send you a cashier's check or money orderyt. The account info they had was 15 years old and a closed account.

This is the same retard who have been calling me for over a year now. They have called my parents home and harrassed them looking for me! They have called my work number and I finally had a screaming match when they told my elderly parents that there was a criminal case against me pending and she needed to contact me ASAP or I was going to jail...Scared the HELL out of my parents..I have documented all calls to my parents and to my job and asked them NOT to CALL that I didnt live there and dont call me at work...Send me paperwork If I owe money! they refused, said they had sent it with no response..I never received it..Then they asked for my debit card and demanded payment then..Told them I wasnt giving card over the phone and when they sent me proof I will look at and If I owe I will pay!! 4 days straight and still not a straight answer? I left them a message after 5 on EVERY Number they called me from. Told them the conversation was being recorded so I would have PROOF that I did call and asked NOT to be contacted at work and leave my parents alone and I was sending this copy to my attorney's office..Lets see how tomorrow goes.. They Just called my PARENTS number ! I havent lived there is YEARS and told them that I had a CRIMINAL LAWSUIT against me and needed to contact them ASAP..Scared my family to death... received this call yesterday and I had my husband listen in on my phone call and he started to go off on them and said he needed paperwork in the mail to verfiy everything and Mitchell said they can't they can only email, so my husband started to go off again, because that was of course BS. Well, they didn't want to listen to us so they hung up on us. Then we called them back to harrass them.

These busters called my job with a nasty, attitude!  Investigator Mitchell is what she calls herself.  She had a real nasty attitude, and I think if you want some cooperation, then give folks the proper respect!

My mother-in-law recieved a call from 888-286-3470 stating that they needed to speak with me. Left an extension number and everything on the machine. First I thought it might be the IRS and then I knew I hadn't done anything wrong...Then I did the reverse phone search and ended up at this site. I agree with everyone on here that this is a scam...I am NOT going to be giving them ANY type of personal information if they call back again...

This number call my home "Agent Anthony" ext 338 said he could only talk to my daughter who's husband was in a sever accident and survived. He was being a jerk, big headed, and I made sure I was recording the call. Hopefully this will be the last time he calls.

I got threating phone calls from them they go by the name Cowan schwurtz associtates.I gave them some payments in U.S money and I live I canada. I would like to know if this busssines actually is real bussiness. That way I don't have to worry about going to jail with 4 kids can't afford to.

This Miss Marshall called my home looking for my son and left a message stating she left numerous messages about something (we don't know) on his cell phone about this matter. Funny thing is my sons voice mail has never been set up for at least a year, so how could this person leave him messages. She was demanding payment and wanted his account number at his bank and wanted to know what days she could start taking money out! She never said her first name and never told me who she represented. From the messages I've seen, I am not dealing with this person. She doesn't sound legit and I think it's a scam.

Now she stated I knew exactly what this call was in referenced too.. NO I DO NOT! She didn't leave a message exactly but stated her extensions to be 304. Not calling them back!

I took out a pay day loan.  I paid it off and have the final proof of receipt.  I have sent it a couple of times to this agency.  At the same time I took out this loan for me, I had my identity stolen.  I filed a report and have copies of that as well.  I have repeatedly told Mrs. Jones to not contact my work.  SHE KEEPS CALLING.  This is in direct violation of The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act was passed in 1977 to protect consumers from abusive debt collectors.

She will not send me any papers to my home address.  She has threatened me with a lawsuit.  I told her to go ahead and take me to court because I have the proof of payment from the company I took out the loan with and the police reports!

Just got home and had a message on my machine from "Amom"?  at 888-286-3470 x 309 with a reference number.   Said she just needed some information.   I am NOT going to call!

They called my job asking for me. Her name was agent Waltower. Stated something about a law suit. When i called the number back, I got the voicemail for the agent at a cohen, shore, and associates.  I havent been served any papers and I'm not suing nor is anyone suing me.  The number was 888-286-3470
