I've dealt with these people before..... They weren't nice they threatened me and the person who called tried to pass herself off as a paralegal, which she was not.  I work in a law firm and know my rights and how things should be handled.  I was contacted about a debt that had been paid off for quite sometime.  The lady was mean, rude and was yelling at me while I was at work. Plus told someone else the reason for her call.  Some may have been treated fairly, but I was not. They would not send me any paperwork on what I owed and how they got the information.  It took me a while to get the whole problem straightened out.  Fortunately for me I had all the proof I needed to take care of the matter.

FTC just sued a large group of collection agencies located in the city of Corona, alleging numerous violations of debt collection laws.

Dona Buck "Litigation Resolution Manager" has been harrassing me for about a week.  She has told me similar things for example they tried to serve me twice and could not and that if I did not call back I was going to be served at work but to avoid the embarrassment I should call back and pay the bill.  I have had a "processor" contact me from a "Private Number" and state he was a processor and was going to serve me but first I needed to call 888.311.9924 x-207 to find out the specifics.  Process servers do not call you first to tell you  you are going to get served for one and the certainly don't tell you to call another number to find out what it is about.  SCAM.  I am reporting this number to whomever takes care of credit harrassers to ensure it stops.

I got a call also... a man who identified himself as William Bellamy from SRS and stated I had a case filed against me in district court and if I did not respond to his call I would be served...  Who the heck do they think they are to behave in such an aggressive manner......

I recieved a phone call from a blocked number I checked my voicemail and there was a message from 1-888-311-9924 a man left the message telling me i had to call back and give a case number and ask for ext 217. The man said that I am named as a Defendent in a Civil case that has been opened against me and that they need to contact me to arrange a time between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm for someone to drop the summons to appear in court off at my home! I am glad I found this site because I see the dumb stuff this company is trying to pull!

Got a call from 888-311-9924.  I had received a call from Sarah with extention 217 & I asked to be transfered to that extension.  The Lady who answered the phone asked me for my name and my case number & I repeated my self >>> transfer me to ext 217.   She told me to be STILL and she asked me for my name and number again.  I yelled at her and said EXTENSION 217 >>> I WANT TO TALK TO SARAH & she hung up on me..

I guess I don't understand how people have time to go on site's like this and talk about how they've been treated...I came on this site to write something nice about this company because of them I've learned to clean up my credit and I wanted to say thank you, but for me to come on here and see the things I'm seeing I don't understand? I was given a call that I needed to handle my business and pay my bills, so I did and now I'm driving a new candy apple 2010 Porsche 4 door and payments aren't that bad at all but within the last yr since my call from them I've decided to clean my life and credit and things have turned around for. Why would you get credit, don't pay the company, and then get mad when they call you on it??? LO... Your borrowing someone else's money and don't you think they want their money back like you would want your's??? Come on now! If it was your money you would be upset as well, so all you people on here upset because these people are trying to get their money back, you sound real dumb! Pay your bills and stop running cause it will catch up to you like it did me. Don't hate the player hate the game you get yourself into.

half couldn't speak english let alone where they where or what was really going on. wanted a case number and couldn't understand only the ext.  I did keep calling them with not results. yet but tired of the phone calls for a person that doesn't even live here let alone my 7 year old thinking I am in trouble.

I thought they were a scam company as well. Until I asked for the credit card number, they said I owed. I realized it was my debt. I hesitated to pay the debt, until I called the credit card to verify. I was so embarrassed. Sometimes we think we can forget the debt, and after a couple of years it will fall through the cracks. But we were able to do a reasonably low settlement, and they sent me my release paper. And I waited 30 days to find out my 3 Credit Bureau Reports were reflected, that the debt was Paid in full.

I know the economy is very challenging right now, but for all of you guys who think, we can walk away from this growing deficit, we too are at fault for not paying our bills. We add to the growing concern of Global deficiency. I spoke to a very nice person there who was very helpful, in assisting me to resolve my debt as a settlement.

I just submitted a complaint to the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office concerning SRS. They called my son and told him that my wife was the subject of a civil complaint and that we needed to arrange a time between 8:30 and 4:30 to received a summons.

I was really thrown off when I spoke to one of the associates there, because, she had all my information. But once I told her I needed a paper trail, and something in writing to verify, this was a legitimate office. I received an email with all the information on it. I was so embarrassed. I wanted to believe, this debt was charged off. I thought charged off meant, I did not have to repay the debt back.

I was treated fairly, and given a settlement for a lower amount. Which I was able to fit in my budget.I think people will make several excuses, not to pay their debts, so they can continue this repetitive cycle in life.

My friend has received calls from 888-311-9924 ext. 220 SRS & Associates, Larry Elam out of Temecula, CA beginning 07-10.  Larry stated US Bank charged off $523.38 in 08-06.  The last statement she received from US Bank was 07-06 showing $8.00 for maintenance fee, nothing after that until these phone calls began.  No calls from US Bank, no letters from US Bank. We have called US Bank numerous times talked to recovery and collection department and they show nothing negative for my friend, as a matter of fact no record of her at all because it is so old.  But SRS & Associates is willing to settle for $300.00, Larry said the actual amount OWED is over $1500 because of late fees, etc.  All we want to know is what it is for and SRS cannot tell us.  Is this a SCAMMMMM or what?????  I told Larry what I saw on the internet yesterday and he said they have nothing to do with the company out of NJ, but yet the phone number is the same, HUMMMM????

Debt collectors threatening to sue you for a debt!

Notice to all people concerned about debt collectors...Never!  Never!!! Never!!!!  Pay a debt collection agency for anything!!!   They have bought old debt from companies that have written the bad debt off of their books.  You did not owe and you never do owe a DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY!!!  You did not purchase ANYTHING from them.   NEVER, EVER  pay a debt collection agency.   As a matter of fact in a few years they will be almost extinct......

I do have a very small debt that I thought was settled so I was shocked to get this message on my phone from Mercedes Moore at my "local county clerk's office processing division."  Says that I'll be served if I don't respond within 24 hours then gave 8883119924 ext 213 to contact them back. They gave me a case number. I was leery to call seeing as this isn't from my local area; that's when I Googled the phone number and found the truth.  I see the complaints and I'm not calling these people.  I can see on my credit report who the original creditor is and I'll be settling with them...I just don't deal with liars.

They have called my cell phone and office number which I believe is an infringement on my rights, however they left a message that they needed someone to call and let them know how to serve me.  ANY legitimate subpeona company KNOWS what to do and how to serve a legal document, it's the same all over the world basically. I called the company they said I owed and the company had no record.  So whoever has paid these people amazes me how most comments regard this as a harrassing call with no legitimacy at all.

They called my cell phone showing "Unknown Number"...so many times all day every day, of course my minutes are few and so I don't answer.  Left a message from some supposedly "Legal Support Services" stating that I owed a debt of 12K+, I called the creditor and they said no balance or debt with them.  They also threatened to serve me at my home or workplace. I'm hiring an attorney to investigate and keep them from calling.
