i have been receiving calls from Nationwide. when i ask Nationwide what ? they respond just nationwide. i asked for an address-they refused to supply--i asked to speak with a supervisor and the nasty girl told me she was a supervisor and refused to let me speak to anyone else. she told me i owed money to a company i had never heard of and she refused to send me anything in writing. a fraudulent process server called--his name was steve smith (how original) and told me they were going to serve me with papers and i told him to give me a time he would be here as i would have the local sheriffs department meet us at my home and his identity would be validated or he would go to jail because i was pretty sure he was the fraudulent one. Little did he know that we don't have process servers in my state,  until i infromed him and i think i heard him swallow his tongue, only the sheriffs department will serve papers to a person. "what a dummy." He called me a "Bi***" and hung up on me. also no website, no address and the whole return phone call messages are very suspicious. My sugestion to every one is to keep a detailed log of incoming calls, persons name you speak with, as much detail as possible regarding conversation and report to your local law enforcement agency and the attorney generals office asap. these scammers have got to be stopped and the public is gpoing to have to be the ones to do it. DO NOT GIVE ANY VITAL INFO TO THese PEOPLE BUT GET AS MUCH INFO ABOUT THEM AS U CAN and post it as many places as you can on the web to let other people know they are out there.  DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE BACK FOR ANY REASON. ALSO post a warning on your facebook about these creeps.

I, too, have received calls from a so called process server stating I had to call 888-859-6533 to make a payment immediately and be released from having papers served.  Last time I did make a couple payments, but have no paperwork trail to know if the payments went toward the debt or not.  Have never received anything in writing from them.  They called again last week and pulled the same crap, although this time called a few people in the human resource department and one of my neighbors who were all concerned about my safety because of how this jerk acted on the phone.  I called the number and requested their address and asked about setting up a payment plan or a debt management plan.  I was told the only thing they would do is accept a credit card and I should have done the payment plan prior to this.  The guy was a real piece of work on the phone and refused to give me any information about the company or where they were located stating I didn't need that information for anything - I could either come up with a credit card (prepaid or otherwise) or go to court and that I had committed fraud when I explained I had closed the account because it was overdrawn and couldn't keep up with the payments.  I called the company the original loan was with and they told me it had been transferred to collections.  They gave me the name, address and phone number of the company (it was not Nationwide) - called them and it had been sold to another collection agency (still not the name of Nationwide).  Really makes me wonder what they're up to and probably never should have paid what I paid them a few months ago.  Maybe the true collection agency will take me to court, but at least I'll be able to have a paperwork trail and probably payment options, not just credit card or "secure payment" as they refer to it, although they claim they do not process payments.  Scumbags.

Got a call from this same number with the same thing.  They needed to serve papers or some such crap.  When I called back they answered nationwide and were looking for my Dad.  (Same name).  They called my house, my cell phone, and even the phone of my wife's ex-husband's parents.  Sounds like a scam of some kind to me.  I am going to call the state attorney general.

I received a call from Nationwide on 1/5/12 from a phony process server asking for my address so he could serve me.  I refused and he gave me Nationwide's name, number and case no.  When I called and asked for the full name of the company, it's address and email address,, they hung up on me.  The company calls itself "Nationwide Litigation." However, I can't find a website for them.

Got a call from this number.  They talked to my boss and told me they were going to send somebody to my work to pick me up and take me to court unless I call Nationwide and get a release..  Is this legit? Can they really do this?
