There have been repeated daily calls for over a month; this morning there were 3 and it's only 10:30am. I picked up one of the calls and someone said, "Is this <my name>? I said, "Who's calling?" and the line went dead. They called back, I picked up again, and they never said anything at all.

The Share Group  (www.sharegroup.com) is the owner of 888-343-7029, 888-343-7012, 888-343-6984, 888-248-1334 and maybe a hundred others.  They are a solicitor-for-hire who does computer-dialing.  They raise funds for non-profits, charities, religious organizations, political campaigns and so forth. As such, they are exempt from the national do-not-call list.  Phooey! They are soooo annoying. They are hiring right now if you're feeling a little masochistic.  :-)

This number has called repeatedly over the past several days, never leaving a message.  We ARE on the "don't call list."  What's with this?

got a call 6/26, no message.

I called the number, and they claim to be "Share Group" - a group that calls on behalf of non-profits. It said that my number would be removed from their list, but I'll believe that when I see it.

Got a call May 18, 2008 and did not leave a message.  Reported them to donotcall.gov

Call came in at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in New York City. They asked for me, I said I was not here, they said they'd call back later.

Didn't bother answering it, just reporting
