Asset Management Professionals (AMP) are KNOWN JUNK DEBT BUYER AND FDCPA VIOLATORS
Junk debt is worthless legally uncollectable debt they purchase for pennies and break State and Fed FDCPA and FCRA laws to collect dollars from innocent consumers.
Junk debt is debt they have no PROOF you owe!
To old - beyond statute of limitations by state law.
Already paid !
Discharged in bankruptcy. Or a result of identity theft.
I've been receiving calls from these people for several months. They are scammers trying to intimidate me into paying fake debts that I don't actually owe. When they realize I'm know it's a scam and they're not going to get any money from me, they wait a while and try again using a different name. So far they've been Asset Management Professionals, AMP, and most recently Veldos LLC.
Don't let these scammers intimidate you! Check out this article from the Better Business Bureau about how these scumbags operate:

Receive recorded message in regard to ex husband. I wait for service rep, as instructed, only no one answers and it disconnects. The number they leave is for an office not open on Saturday. And yet Saturday is the only day they call!
They were trying to collect a hospital debt from 2010. I was asked to make a payment in three installments that they would take from my bank account. i refused to give out my information. The only thing I did was give them my email address. I am not sure about what to do.
888-355-7515 belongs to "Veldos, LLC" who claims to be at 665 Molly Lane, Suite 110 in Woodstock, Georgia 30189. They say they are a collection agency that buys "old" Accounts Receivables but are actually "shakedown artist", scammers, etc... The FTC, along with other governmental agencies, put out daily/weekly memos that warn the public about the latest frauds and scams. You can sign up to get these notices for free (actually they aren't free at all. As taxpayers we pay a fortune for the information, we just don't always know how to obtain it.). File a complaint against them but don't call the numbers they leave. The government warns that when you call you will often hear what sounds like the call being transferred and that's because it is. Then you'll hear recordings or be put on-hold. Most of the time you have been transferred to a phone-site that charges you hefty fees per minute/second and it shows up on your phone bill. It's hard to deny the charges when the phone company can prove you are the one who made the call. Another warning is that often times when you return the call (which is what they hope you'll do) you are calling a computer which is why you think you are on-hold then the call hangs ups. Once this happens their computer knows that someone is on the other end of the number you're calling from and you go on a list these crooks use for future fraud and scams. The FTC and FBI believe these crooks operate from one of the Caribbean islands but they could be in any foreign country. Fraud is big business for them, netting them BILLIONS of dollars each year. The best thing for you to do is never send them money and never return the calls.
I would like to block the following telephone number; 1-888-355-7515 from any future calls.
Next time they call just ask to speak with Rosenthal then ask him about the Smyrna police arrest. Looks like Rosenthal likes to yell and abuse children and probably women per the arrest in Smyrna so no wonder his employees act the same on the phone. It is difficult to stop robo calls from low life regardless of if they have the correct number for the person they are seeking since they do not care.

This number called my home on Thursday February 13, 2014 at 7:16 PM EST. The person who left the message said her name was Glenda and identified the company she was calling from as ULLC.
She left her number as 1-888-355-7515 extension 164. She did say she was a debt collector attempting to collect a debt but did not indicate on the call whom she was calling for. Just wanted to report this.
Caller keeps on calling, no messages. I registered for the Do Not Call Registry and they still call every week. We don't owe back taxes or bills, I need to report it to the FCC, any one knows how?
These people continue to call me even though I have informed them that I am not the person that they are looking for. I have told them at least 20 times now and also through the automated system that I am not the person they are trying to get in touch with. Have just been holding on the phone for over a hour now to let them know the same thing... to no avail. I have no debt collector's of my own calling me and certainly do not want to continue to answer these phone calls looking for other people.
Keeps calling with an automated message looking for an employee who left 3 years ago. No option to be removed. just to call this number to find out what they want. I am assuming this is a debt collection call.
Keeps calling.. I don't answer...same people, they just change numbers. Stop calling my house!!!!! Leave message to call 888-355-7515. Doesn't leave name.. I don't call back.

If they continue to call, send them this letter VIA certified mail and request a return receipt. I would also cc the FTC at the bottom of the page:

Sending them a fax will not make them stop calling. They can say they never got it. You need to send a cert letter through the USPS. They will have to sign for it when they get it. Keep the return card.
Here is the address I have on them
Asset Management Professionals, LLC
665 Molly Lane, Ste. 110
Woodstock, GA 30189
You can look up a sample letter on how to write a C&D letter informing them to stop all communications with you. Once you send that letter they must stop calling.. If they keep calling you you can file a civil suit against them. Keep track of all calls and be sure whatever letters you send them have a copy of it.
I copy everything that I send to these scammers.
Debt collector calling for previous owner of the number. Called them back and asked them to stop calling. They were kind of hissy when I wasn't too chatty about did I know T******* B******
Fax them (free from FaxZero or the like) at 678-494-1532 and ask them to stop calling.
Very sincerely, Mrs. Nevers :-)
Attorney General, really? You really think that the AG is going to listen to your BS? Does it make you feel better to threaten someone on a third party website when they will probably never read it?
Before you go correcting someone's grammar, learn how to spell the word.
It show on the phone as AMP(Asset Management Professionals) and comes out of Woodstock, Georgia. They have call my house everyday and I just want answer the phone I let it go to the answering machine. They are some very annoying people they call sometime at 8:00 in the morning and I know they are suppose to do they are not following the Fair Credit Act procedures. I have reported them to DoNot Call.gov
I filed a complaint. They call from all kinds of numbers. They call today on 888-355-7515 with Unavaible and then they call with a number 678-784-3680.
These people called my house every day and leave messages stating they have a confidential personal call and that if I am the person to continue to listen and if I am not hang up. I just don't answer the phone. I want them to stop calling here. I don't know who they are. The phone number they called on 888-355-7515. They call with different numbers.
Call 2-3 times a day since July 1st from different numbers. (678 & 888 area codes) Seems my number is back on someone's list because it has been 1 month since the last bogus call. Never leave a message and always hangs up!
Several times I received at my work phone a computerized call. The voice keeps asking for someone who has NEVER worked here, and I've had this work phone number since October 1988! The voice says to either press 9 or call back at 888-355-7515. A few years before these computerized calls started, I'd get real live people calling asking for that person who has NEVER worked here. I even told them they have the wrong number, but they'd still call. Now instead of real people I get these computerized calls, so I can't even tell them they have the wrong number. I've never pressed 9 or called that 888 number because I figure it'd lead to all kinds of sh*t.
This is a real company and they are Debt Collectors. They are scum to me and yet is not a Scam.
This is what I just filed with our Governments Do Not Call (they won't do anything--I just feel a little better):
A gentle man from AMP left a message and then I returned the call.
They were looking for someone I don't even know personally and at a different address.
I explained this and was cursed, belittled, etc..
Did request they not call my number again and was told they could do what ever they wanted.
I did try to explain to them that there was a ring of criminals nearby that was stealing people identities and that this S Larkins that they were looking was one of the people involved. Asked if I could help them by providing the address I had and once again got cussed and then hung up on.
When they call again, you will get another complaint.
I want to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who has posted here. Now I know who and what these jag offs are, and I will ignore the calls (nobody there when I answer).
This so calked company is a scam. When question I g the guy I spoke to tonight about the time frame of whenthe debt occurred and when they re eived it all of it was b***s***. When I began letting him know that his scam wasn't going to get through us he became very belligerent. Some cusyomer service!! Not sure how they can say that the debt occurred in 2009 and 4 years later they are calling.............REALLY!!!!!!!!
if they called before 8am you can sue them. this a violation of the law!
i agree wholeheartedly
yes you are right but it depends on your state. i had these people call me. best thing to do is deny, deny. these are zombie debts and i know the statue of limitations is past the 4 years. i told the man this and if he decided to add it to my credit it wouldnt hurt me because my credit was in the toliet anyway. so i am no worried. they cant collect its an old medical bill that has been sold at least 3 times. I told him to claim it back on his company's taxes uncle sam will give it back to you and hung up
They called before, but on a different number asking for someone that does not live or ever lived here, I been here 6 years with this number. I'll file a complaint soon, this usually happens. As with the above people who been called by anyone, for me to give them information is out of luck. I'm not their runaround tattle tale, I don't work for them and they have no right to bother me, unless I know for sure who it is, and they are looking for a family member, etc. other wise they are out of luck.
They called several times before, no message left, just Toll free call on my caller ID, like that means something, there is 10,000 toll free numbers out there, these low life jerks are so un-educated they probably don't even know who they are.
