Got 3 calls in one night!  Didn't leave a message and they called between 10:30pm and 12midnight!  I don't appreciate them waking the whole house up!

Verizon Wireless. They are my phone company, but I'm never late or anything so my guess is it's a marketing call. I called it back to find out who/what it was. No message was left.

The week of January 24-31, multiple calls from this number. I don't answer numbers that aren't identified by Called ID. No messages left.

Curious, how can they legally call when you're on the Do Not Call list?

I have a receieved a few calls within the last week from this number, and at odd times of the day.

Googled this number first, found this page.  Called the number back to see if this was really Verizon.  NO.  It is a company "calling on behalf of Verizon".  I gave them my phone # and my name just to see if it was Verizon (sometimes they do ask to verify your number and name).  As soon as they asked for my password, I figured out it was a scam.  Guys, PLEASE be borderline paranoid with who you share your info with.  If it was really Verizon/credit card company/real company you do business with, they would NOT EVER ask you your password--it's in their policy.  (Verizon also said that they would NEVER have someone call on their behalf!!)  It's a scam to steal your info.  (Along with the emails warning you of exceeding your memory quota, and telling you to enter your account name, password, social security number, etc--this is how they can steal your identities!!)  You should ALWAYS go to the place in question in person to make sure they have indeed been calling you.  Customer service rep at Verizon verified that THIS IS A SCAM!!!!  Please, please, PLEASE do not give these people your confidential info!!

I was informed by my roommate that I had gotten a call (on their cellphone!) from Verizon. I told them that it was a scam. Why would they call my roommate's cell to leave a message for me to call "them" instead of calling my phone. I found that to be odd.

they left a message on my phone saying i was eligible to upgrade my phone

Called my office number after hours and left no message. That number is NEVER called by anyone non-work related. Probably some kind of random dialer or scam, as others have indicated.

This is a marketing call from Verizon. They had me verify my mobile number, first and last name, and last 5 of my social. Then they told me that I was eligible for an upgrade to my phone.

Got a call ... they asked for number and name.  Then hung up.

They first said "This is <mumbled> VERIZON!!"  I then asked her to repeat the company name and she just kept saying Verizon ... MF LIARS!!!

This is a RATE CHANGE third-party company.  They SAY that they want to lower your rates ... but when I called Verizon directly, they said that they can REROUTE your calls through THEIR system and then THEY control the rates for all calls and can go UP or DOWN at their choice.

AVOID THIS NUMBER !!!

Saw that I missed call from this number yesterday. Called it on my way from work last night. Automated response identified it as Verizon, and importantly allowed me the option to "press 1" and be removed from future solicitations.

called twice in 2 days so far... didn't answer b/c running low on minutes... did not leave message

This was Verizon calling to let us know we are eligible for an upgrade on our phones. She was polite and professional.

Called me twice in two days with no messages.  I've had verizon call in the past and leave messages.  I called them back asking what was up.  Went almost straight to an operator which made me very cautious because the NEVER happens with verizon.  He asked if this was the main phone of the account and if he could get the number.  I said "well you called me why wouldn't you have it?  I'm not going to give that out".  He said was fine but they usually just call about upgrades and overages.  Since I'm not due for at least a year and always pay the bill (confirm online), I'm starting to think this isn't legit.  I will call verizion later to confirm.

Who cares if this number called.. just dont answer it..  geez...

just got a call from 1-888-453-1913.  
they did not leave a message.

Verizon - It was legit as far as I could tell.

They Only asked my first and last name, not my phone no.

Lol they called me in regards to my girlfriend....seems she was lacking on paying her bill and forgot she put me down as her alternate method of contact....I laughed and hung up.  

Needless to say she was PISSED, however she could of just told me she was about to get her stuff cut off

I called Verizon, and this is NOT one of their numbers. If you get a call from this number do not answer, do not give them your information.

Received a call from them today. As I was out, they left which was quite possibly one of the most bizarre messages I've ever received. He mumbled something then said "the call will be terminated in 3...2...1...", then something about Verizon Wireless. Loooong pause and then it sounded like he was crying "(inaudible.......)what'd you dooo? What'd you dooo?" before the call ended. I dunno, maybe he was singing, but the last bit sounded distraught.

Even if this is supposed to be from Verizon Wireless, it's the most unprofessional message EVER.

Got called twice by this number today.  With caller ID I never answer phone number I don't know especially a 888 number and I am also on the do not call list.  They should be fined for calling people on the do not call list.

I just answered it to see and she said she was from the "loyalty department of Verizon".  I was leary that it was a scam call but she didn't ask for any personal information or passwords, and seemed to have legitimate access to my account and features. I told her nothing about my account, so it was obvious to me that she did have access to my actual account info.

She was also willing to give me a call back nubmer and was friendly enough.

No answer when I picked up the reciever just dead air then the dialtone.

I finally got Citi Finical to stop calling me even though I did business with them by reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission since they aren't affected by the do not call list.  They were very harassing calling day and night, would not take me off their list and would not take NO for an answer.  I am pretty bummed to have this new caller.  I received one call at 1:04 and 3:21. Very irritating! Glad it wasn't on my Cell or I would be charged!  I am hoping they won't be as hard to get rid of as Citi Finical was!  I wish there was a way to block a number from calling.  It would be a much easier way of dealing with the problem.

I tried calling this number back and all I received was a busy signal (I tried multiple times at different times of the day.)  Waste of time - don't answer...
