I WAS CALLED BY LUCAS CORTEZ. WHEN I ASKED WHO HE WAS,(HIS JOB) HE SAID IM SENIOR PRESIDENT OF SOMETHING, BUT NEGLECTED TO SAY HE WAS A DEBT COLLECTOR. ONCE I WENT THROUGH FIFTY OTHER NUMBERS TO VERIFY WHO HE REALLY WAS AND IF HE WAS LEGIT, I CONTACTED HIM TO SETTLE THE ISSUE. BUT HE GOT RUDE AND BELIGERANT WITH ME WHEN IM TRYING TO ARRANGE THE PAYMENTS. HELL IF IM CALLING YOU BACK OBVIOUSLY IT ITS NOT JUST FOR THE HECK OF IT. IF YOU WANT TO DISSOLVE THE ISSUE WHICH IM CLEARLY WILLING TO DO,AT SOME POINT YOU CAN ACT LIKE A HUMAN BEING.I PREFERRED PAYMENT THROUGH THE MAIL, BUT HE WANTED HIS WAY. LOOK IF YOU CANT SEND A PROPER BILL AND DOCUMENT THEN YOU OBVIOULSY DONT WANT YOUR PAYMENT.FINALLY AFTER ALL THAT DRAMA, HE AGREED TO SEND IT THROUGH THE MAIL. WHY WAS THAT SO HARD TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE?

Why on god's green earth would you have to pay them four times the amount of the debt?

A creditor can sue you for the debt plus interest and possibly legal fees.  The amount of interest that can be charged is governed by Federal law after the the debt has been written off.

I said a creditor -can- sue.  The likelihood of them doing it is very slight, especially when the dollar amount is small.

I can't believe that collector trolls are still coming on here and trying to snowball the readership.

I THOUGHT LIKE ANYONE ELSE THAT THIS COMPANY WS B***S*** BUT I WAS WRONG I HAD A FEW BANK ACCOUNTS THAT I HAD SOME CREDIT AVAILABLE I JUST DIDNT WANNA PAY THE DEBT I MEAN WHY NOT LAWYERS AND DOCTORS DONT WHY SHOUL I  SO I SAID THE HELL WITH IT AND LATER THAT MONTH I DID GET SUED BY VRM GROUP LLC. AND I HAD TO PAY THEM B*****DS 4 TIMES THE AMOUNT OF THE DEBT I WAS FURIOUS AND IT WASNT BECAUSE I DIDNT HAVE THE MONEY  IT WAS BECAUSE I COULD D HAVE TOOK THEIR SETTLEMENNT BUT I CHOOSE TO BE AN AMERICAN AND SAY NO. AND NOW I PAID 3200 ON AN 798.00 DOLLAR DEBT I WAS ANGRY SO ADVISE TO YOU GUYS AND GIRLS WHO OWE THEM PAY YOUR DEBT BECAUSE IF YOU OWE THEM MONEY AND YOU OWN ANYTHING THEY WILL SEIXZE IT FROM YOU AND PLACE A JUDGEMENT I CANT BELIEVE I GOT DENIED FOR A JOB BECAUSE OF THIS STUPID THINMGG YOU GUYS DONT HAVE TO BELIEVE ME BUT TRUST ME YOU WILL BE ON HERE A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER AGREEING WITH ME. SO I DID MY GOOD DEED AND WARNED YOU GUYS.

I have gotten a call a week from them saying they are looking for my name the second. There is no such person. Of course they said they have my social and that a decision will be made with or without my consent. That is b***s***. I have a regular search on my credit reports and anyone that puts anything on there that is not legit could be sued , in fact likely will be. Sounds like organized crime to me.

They just happened to call again today, but I had put their number in my block list so my phone never rang.

THEY HAVE CALLED ME FOR THE PAST MONTH LOOKING FOR DANIEL PRUITT ON MY CELL PHONE AND EACH TIME THEY SAID THEY WOULD REMOVE MY NUMBER BUT HAVE FAILED TO DO SO. THE LAW STATES THEY ARE NOT TO CALL MY CELL NUMBER I NEED TO KNOW THE NAME OF THIS COMPANY TO FILE WITH FTC
