Just got the same piece of mail today - looking very official as though it may contain a govt ck but offers to "Settle" my cc debt on visa-mc!  I'm current on bills and good FICO - so was suspicious immediately. Will report it immediately!

This scam is still going on. I jut received a similar piece of mail. I like how at the bottom of the notice they sent out it says, 'This information was obtained through public records. We are not affiliated of, nor endorsed by, nor associated with Mastercard-Visa or any government agency.' So basically, all the stuff we talked about above is bunk, but we can still say it because we wrote you this way at the bottom in the tiniest print possible. Thanks for posting!

Just received exact same piece of mail and we, too, have zero balances on our cc.   Thank you for the scam report for the post office.

One of my parent also got such a letter. Same style tear-off packaging. It is a scam, and since I work for the government, I am working with investigators to get them shut down. If you receive such a letter, REPORT IT to the US Postal Inspection Service (https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/), which investigates all forms of crime involving the mail.

My parents got an official looking piece of mail today with bold black letters above their address stating "IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR ACCOUNT." There was no return address and inside the "peel the ends" kind of letter, it states BALANCE REDUCTION NOTICE, and goes on to state how they can reduce your credit card balance from "70% to 100% without being delinquent or negative results to your credit rating." I am not kidding. This is what it says!
My parents are elderly and already have a ZERO balance on their credit card so I'm concerned this may be one of those scams that target elderly people and they're just trying to get their hands on my parents info!
If anyone has had any experience with this phone number, please let me know what the name of the company is, where they're located, etc.  Thanks.
