Yes, the National Riffle Association certainly does pay InfoCision to solicit on their behalf. I personally made these calls from Jan 2014 - Apr 2014`

This is a cut/paste from other InfoCision phone numbers. See point (c) on how to make the calls stop.

The NRA calls are on behalf of the National Riffle Association who has paid the company InfoCision to make the calls on their behalf. The calls are made to the numbers in the NRA membership database (and some are targeting member cell phones).

(a) the caller will be able to tell you your end of membership date and your membership # because the NRA has provided that information to InfoCision along with your name, address and phone number.

(b) you will only get as much information from the caller as your state law requires (so you may not be told that it is infoCision making the call). The infocision 'communicators' will lie to you. I told people that I'm an NRA member and own a s**t ton of riffles, I also claimed to hunt.  Nothing could be further from the truth. (Oh, and the stinky 350 pound woman next to me was great at playing the doting high school cheerleader type act.. she might have been a telephone sex line operator before or something... but boy did she sell memberships with all her giggles and doting on the member's ego.... if only they knew that she could have crushed probably half of them with just one thigh... or knocked them over dead just by lifing one flabby arm up wind!)

(c) your number will be considered an incomplete call until you:

(c)(a) -- Admit you are the person called (if they say "hey, john doe!" then say yup, that's me) THEN listen long enough to hear that the call is from the National Rifle Association AND THEN you say "Take me off your calling list" once (and you have to say it pretty much that exact way. If you say "I wish you wouldn't call me" that will not do it because (as my supervisor said)  you have only expressed an opinion and have not made an actual request to be removed)

--OR--

(c)(b) -- you refuse to extend your membership at least 3 times AND refuse the add-on donation at least once (so the caller is going to keep talking through you until they've reached that magic number or they get fired)

(d) The phone numbers on the list are handled by a computer and routed to the next available 'communicator'. That computer will keep dialing your number until a communicator has marked it as completed (see above) and it will continue to cycle through those numbers until the end of the contract. The current contract has been going on since Jan 2014 (if not earlier) and will probably continue to go on as long as the NRA doesn't go in the hole on it (they get charged set fees even if InfoCision doesn't collect a dime from their members).  The NRA is looking for big numbers in membership to throw around as political weight.

AND THIS IS THE BIGGEST ONE OF ALL --- MORE THAN 80% of your money will go to the company that called you (InfoCision). That number could be as high as 95% of the money.  The NRA could actually go in the hole on it if InfoCision doesn't get enough people to extend their memberships.  (Google InfoCision and see for yourself). The money is NOT going to fight anyone or anything in congress, it is going directly to the pockets of the private family that owns the company InfoCision, less a few pennies paid to the 'communicators'. SO, even if you believe in what the NRA is selling, extending your membership with a telemarketer isn't doing squat to promote your favored cause. If you paid the $150 extension, then @ $15 went to your cause and $135 went to InfoCision. If you did the $500 lifetime membership, $50 went to the NRA and $450 went to the company that harassed you on your cell phone.

The NRA is a non-profit organization, so the Federal Do Not Call list does not apply to them even if you weren't a member. But they are calling existing and terminated members so the Federal Do Not Call list doesn't apply to them anyway.

Saying the person is dead will not remove your number.

If you want to cost InfoCision money/time... then request a copy of their "Corporate Do Not Call List Policy" -- this will get you transferred to a supervisor who is responsible to ensure that a copy IS mailed out to you because you can get a $500 award if you don't receive their policy as requested. Asking that supervisor to remove your number from ALL CALLING LISTS USED BY INFOCISION at that time will have the greatest chance of having your number removed. (Part of how the NRA pays their bill is by giving their calling list to InfoCision to resell to other InfoCision clients, and a NRA member would be sold of many, many times during the political season because InfoCision is the number one telemarketer for all of the Republican related organizations)

they wont remove your number - you are now "live bait "   Never answer whom you do not recognize...

They are not the NRA. We get these calls all the time. My husband went to a Pro-Gun rally in our state capital. Wayne LaPierre was there making a speech. My husband confronted one of the High up officials who came with him and this man said they do not call people asking them for donations. They send letters. He told my husband it is a scam outfit that is trying to get your credit card number. They do not ask for cash they ask for your credit card so they can renew "right away". We know for a fact that this is what they want because my husband talked to them to see exactly what they had to say, and the only thing they wanted was for him to renew his membership 3 months early. When he told them he would not renew early and would never give out our credit card number they hung up. They still keep calling though.

Did you call the number back Christian?  If you did call back, did they identify themselves as the National Recovery Associates?  I just got a call from that same number(caller ID come up as Dialer) this morning and I called the number back.  It IS the National Rifle Association or someone pretending to represent the National Rifle Association.  This is the 2nd number I have blocked on my phone identifying for someone identifying themselves as the National Rifle Association.  My husband does belong to the National Rifle Association but will not contribute to them especially if all they are going to do is make harassing phone calls all the time wanting more money!  To me, a harassing phone call is from anyone that either doesn't leave you a message or there is no one there!

So, all of you who have called back the number say it is The National Rifle Association.  All of you who have answered the phone and talked to them say it is a debt collector, National Recovery Agency, or something like that.  So which is it?  Caller ID just shows unavailable on my phone.  But it could be the National Rifle Association because I am a member.  Or it could be a debt collector, because ever since we got this number collection agencies have been calling, looking for the previous owner of my number.

Sorry, but some of you people are just stupid! It is not the National Rifle Association. It IS National Recovery Associates. They SPOOF (look it up) their number to be the real NRA, but they are not. Just like a recent company is spoofing VISA's phone number to offer debt consolidations. This group of scum is trying to collect on old debts. Some of you need to stop being lemmings and hoping your government will work for you, it won't... and these low-lifes will keep calling, keep spoofing numbers no matter about the DNC list!

I just got a call from this number. I called it back. It is the National Rifle Assoc. It's automated and you just listen then you have the option of being removed from the call list. I entered my number then it said it could take up to 30 days to be removed, but they'll try to get done faster.
We will see! I get a call everyday

Just received a call from this number, I didn't answer but called back the number on my caller ID.  It is the National Rifle Association.  I pressed #1 for my info and then pressed #3 and they ask me to enter my 10-digit phone number to be taken off their list.  They said they have up to 30 days to remove the number but will try to get it done within the next 2-3 days.  We will see...

I do not answer unknown callers, this among them.  They are a nuisance.  My son donated to them one time and he said they worried the **** out of him for donations.  I think they have us mixed up but I want them to stop calling. Jones

Will annoyance never cease? ! ! !

A woman phoned at 12:15 PM and said she was calling from NRA. When I asked her if she knew what day it was she got huffy and said of course she knew what day it was and she was at work. I told her it was Sunday and we were preparing a meal for our family and she was annoying us. Then I hung up.

What ever happened to business days and business hours?
