Well THIS PROVES how dumb these crooks are! FEMA has NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING LIKE THIS! What does the Federal Emergency Management Agency have to do with any form of debt collection?? NOTHING. You are correct in LOL - it IS STUPIDLY FUNNY! That's a new one!
Peter 2013-10-18 21:02:55 Unknown
No this is NOT legit.
Martha 2013-10-11 19:55:45 Unknown
Because it is a scam!
Gary 2013-10-11 19:54:54 Unknown
THIS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF FRAUD! NO ONE SHOULD EVER ASK FOR ANY FORM OF FINANCIAL ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT(S) OVER THE PHONE WHEN CALLING YOU!!
Joe 2013-10-11 19:52:17 Unknown
No one can just haphazardly file a warrant in anyone's county without it being backed up by something (like a case if it is regarding some sort of debt collection)...what does one tell the judge that NEEDS to sign it? They'd throw a person OUT!

This will get you to their website to contact them. Here is what I let them know:
1) Your representavie failed to state "This is an attempt to collect a debt...." This is to be done as part of the FDCPA
2) I'm told I put my ex wifes name down on loan from 2008, highly inaccurate, haven't used her name since 2000. This would mean the debt is over 13 years old which is not with in the SOL so I will not be paying this. More importantly, I never in my life received a $500 payday loan.
3) Your representative would not give me the name of your business or fax number, it's right here on your website so that doesn't make much sense at all.
4) I specifically told your representative Mitchel Jennings (Most likely a fake name) to never call me again. He said you would continue to call me.
5) If you contact me again I will file a formal complaint with the FCC. I worked in in the debt collection field a few years ago and they will shut you down for fraudilant and misleading debt collection practices if they receive numerous complaints.
Thank you
Byron 2013-10-08 20:24:03 Debt Collector
They haven't read or do not abide by FDCPA for sure, they did not say "This call is an attempt to collect a debt...." What's funny is they said this was for a loan I took out and that I put my ex wife as a reference in 2008, I never put her name on anything after the year 2000. Apparently they are not familar with the SOL in Iowa as this suppossed loan would have been at least 13 years ago.

Update on these thiefs!!!!!!
They have now made a website to make themselves look like a collection agency and look legit, but don't be fooled. I have seen this before were the website looks good and they put testimonials adn say they are BBB accredited and all sorts of crap to pull you in to thinking they want to help and pull you out of debt, but all they want is your money. These people are going through great lengths to try and steal money that you don't even owe. DO THE RESEARCH! IF THEY CALL, find out what it is you owe and then hang up and call that company to find out if it is really legit and they hired this company to collect for them.
GG WIlliams 2013-06-21 21:00:51 Unknown
It IS a scam - they "pish" for your information on line (if you've ever taken out a payday loan before) - they get your info and con you into thinking that they are "them" - good job, don't ever give these lowlife's ANY of your money.
GG W 2013-06-21 20:59:07 Unknown
SO FUNNY! Received a call from Debt Solutions - from a senior investigator with the arbitration department... She says I have check fraud case against me (using my OLD name) and that it will go to my county courthouse - this isupposidly for an old "pay=day loan" with Advance America - well #1, I don't do payday loans - so that tipped me off - She did know alot of my personal informaiton, but that is available anywere these days... so while I had her onthe phone I went to Advance America's Website - and LOW AND BEHOLD - they don't even do loans in the State of Oregon, when I told her that - she hung up on me!! What an Effing joke - to the people who think they're legit? Well you deserve to give them your money - you're as dumb as they are!

The advice I can give to people: let your answering machine/voice mail take all calls when you do not recognize the number!!!!!
I keep getting calls from this number, claiming that they are trying to reach someone else. If this is a legitimate outfit and a human making the calls, they should know from my greeting that this is not the person they are allegedly chasing. They have been calling my cell phone sometimes four times a day, and have left only one message in several weeks.
If you do not accept their calls, they don't even know they have reached a working number. I suspect this is the same outfit (sounds like the same voice) that was trying to "complete" my application for Stanford's Who's Who. I was hounded by that group for months, leaving messages that they received my application but needed a bit more information before publishing. Since I had never applied to Stanford's Who's Who, I knew it was a scam (did a reverse on the phone number to figure it out). Now I am getting call after call from this group looking for someone else or threatening some sort of action if I don't respond. This is the latest scam, trying to "flesh" out a response so that they have you on the hook for something, anything, even though it might not be you they were originally looking for.

Been receiving harrassing calls from Nancy green. She calls all three numbers on my tmobile account. Makes me wonder how she got them. She said she knew I had active bank accounts, etc. Said I owed money to ace cash express. She threatened me with a felony conviction and refused to give me written info. Said it would come out during the court investigation. I now have to change my cards etc. She also won't stop calling my boyfriend at work on his phone or my son on his. I spoke with ace cash express and they too think this is a scam. Beware! Record calls. Where are our rights to sue these people? !

These people called today asking for my husband. She told me her name was Sara, with some processing firm. They went on to tell me that they needed to speak with my husband because our county (which she did not even pronounce correctly) had two civil cases pending against him. I laughed at her and told her she was a joke. She went on to ask me what my address was so she could have the documents "served" to him. I told her if she came onto my property there would be problems. Once I finally got a phone number from her, I told her to be expecting a call from our attorney, she promptly hung up the phone.

Be on the look out for a new caller, Sara Mackay, claims associate. The line used, "Your county is suing you." Interesting... they called my brother in Maryland and my Dad in Florida. I have never lived in the same county as either of them since I moved out of my family home.
bk90 2013-03-13 17:59:41 Unknown
called and asked for someone I didn't know. You could here lots of other calls being made in the background. Refused to tell me how they got my number or who they were.
