I called them back and told them they had the wrong number, but they wouldn't remove my number from the database.  Seemed very fishy.

well, at least it's you owing them money. i'm in the opposite side of the boat. after they closed all the Tribute cards, i paid the balance. Now they owe ME a credit of $26.76  .. i have yet to see the money back. but i still get monthly bills for 0$, saying my balance is a credit.

when i call them, they say i must ask them in writting. WTF?! .. just send me my damn money. plain and simple. every other company can do it. there is no valid excuse. -- just a plain out scam, hoping you have a life, and/or put the wrong/missing information on you're "written request", so they can keep you're money indeffinately. (NOW who's the one holding who's money...)

ps: bare in mind, i was never late. never avoided them, etc. but i don't put THEM on a 2hr auto-dial, and wrack up thier 800# bill. (the excuses companies make to validate thier poor ethics, is absolutley rediculous...)

I have had more than 120 calls from Tribute in the past 2 weeks.  This is the first time this number came up, (I MADE MY PAYMENT, BY THE WAY- they claim per their site that their site is down- and yet it took my payment)!  The other number is COMPUCREDIT OR COMPUCREDIT-64, and the phone numbers are 678-808-3501, and 678-258-5057.  It's not my fault that THEIR SYSTEM sucks!

I am so sorry people who do run into financial troubles and have a hard time facing or dealing with them makes your life so miserable. Not everyone is trying to be slick, some poeple just can't do anything about their situation, and some of the people who call are not nice, they threaten you, and get rude, no matter how much you explain that you just don't have the money. I have even been asked to borrow the money from anyone or don't pay another bill just as long as I pay them. It could be due to a death in the family or lose of job, but they treat everyone the same, as though everyone is a criminal. We all have a job to do, some people just don't do theirs very professionally.

that would be Aspire Visa, and just send them a cease and desist letter, it will stop instantly. When she verified your SSN and DOB all she did was punch it in if it didn't match it's gone, it's not stored.

No the people taking the credit and running should be sent to prison. Actually we should bring that law back into effect! DEBTORS PRISON. Then honest people wouldn't be bothered by collections calls. Rather than putting the collectors who are probably honest working people in prison.

This Number is from the people who actually own Tribute, Aspire, Emerge, Imagine, Aspen, and Salute Mastercards and Visas. They are a legitimate business and they are not trying to rob anyone. I used to work there. They provide sub-prime credit cards that offer a chance for someone who has had mistakes on their credit to rebuild it. The only way your number is called is if it was provided on a credit application, if the card was activated from that number, or as a last resort if the cardholder called in from that number, or someone at one of the previous mentioned numbers gives it as a cardholder contact number. Phone company's recycle numbers with as little as 20 days between customers, which means you may have gotten someone's old number. Some of these customers owe thousands, wouldn't you call everyone you could think of if someone owed you thousands and disappeared? We offer many programs to help cardholders after they have made mistakes with us. I've personally never seen a Credit card company that did as much for it's customers as this one. Also they did have a site in India but it's no longer affiliated with them. This # in particular is the number for people that are 60-90 days delinquent. If you want them to stop calling, be consistent if it's not you they are asking for tell them that every time, when they see different stories from different people at the same # they think it's a cardholder being slick. Also once we reach a cardholder and they say they can't pay right now, we don't callback for 7 DAYS!!! Just hanging up will get a callback in 2 hours, saying they aren't here, don't know when they will be will get a callback in 2 hours, oh yeah law says they can call from 8am to 10pm, but this company policy is 8am to 9pm, thats 13 hours a day divided by 2 hours equals 6 calls, the place isn't open long enough to call the same number 8 or 10 times as I saw mentioned earlier. The problem isn't the people calling it's the people in this country that think they can get a credit card run up thousands and then just never pay it. They are the ones that cause those of us doing the right thing to get these frustrating calls. It's amazing to me how many people think that it's against the law to call someone that owes you money or to call on weekends, of course they can call on weekends, you can use the card on the weekends, and that's when people are most likely to be home. They are the ones that cause those of us doing the right thing to get these frustrating calls.

I think there is some fraud company who doing all this kind of calls collect the data, and may be then used for any SCAM. Seems all calls are from INDIA call center and most of them are to the Non-Resident Alians

They Call me claiming to be "Expired Visa". My first name and last name is that of the card holders. I told them they have the wrong guy. They said I'm late on some payments. I pay my bills on the internet, and haven't been late on my payments for at least nine months, and my card is not expired. The women on the phone said this is you, "I know it is you". Even though the birthdate and SS# doesn't match mine. I told her she was on crack. I'm not worried about credit score, it is already screwed, but it is the rude calls that is upsetting.

I think these people are trying to get information from me. They call it fishing. Fishing for personal information. You give them you information to see if it maches information, and they put it into there dBase. I think nobody here should trust these people. I've been late on paying my credit card before, and the company did not call me, just sent me a jacked up bill the following month.

I recommend play with their mind when they call. so we make their Con more difficult for them. DON'T GIVE ANY INFO!!

They are "Card Services" but apparently handle different companies. A man lived with us with the same first name as me. They have called here many times asking for that name. I ask which one and they give me his last name. They tell me they are from Tribute Mastercard. I have told them twice now that he no longer lives here and to quit calling us. They continue to call. Now I am going to look up the company and send them a nastygram of my own. See what they say when I start quoting the law to them!
