They are calling here twice a day and not leaving messages on the machine. I tried answering one of the calls and was instantly hung up on.
I'm Reporting them to the federal and state Do Not Call lists.

Someone called from this number today & asked for the owner by name.  When I said he wasn't in he asked for a decision maker.  He would not leave a message.

After picking up the call, I heard the telltale silence before the salesperson started talking ... great tipoff that this is a sales call. The guy wanted to verify my address ... I asked who was calling ... heavy accent, I thought he said something about green sites but reading above maybe it was free something. Didn't get that far ... hung up

I got several calls from this number. Who are they?

Hey dumb a**! If you also have complains you don't go to complain boards you go directly to the AUTHORITY! Because this board can't help you as well. You know what I'm saying "empty head!"

I?m sorry losers! This company called me November last year. I was about to shut down my business during that time. I answered the phone and a lady asked about my business info, I don?t know where she got it, I told her it?s all correct. Then she started talking about being green, gave some additional website, etc. I told her I?m not interested because I?m closing the business soon. She asked me why and told her business is not doing well. She said if their company could help me increase my sales within a couple of weeks would I be interested, and I said yes of course. She then continued and transferred me to her manager. After a week customers started ringing my phone and coming to my business. Their company is just charging me less than 50 bucks a month and I?m earning thousands of bucks a month because of them. I?m planning to open two additional branches in CA and NJ this coming July. Thanks to that telemarketer I owe her and her company a lot.

We receive 2-3 calls per day from 888-296-1363 findagreenbusines.com/net??  I have tried to be nice, mean, funny, do not call, ect...  when transferred to someone in "confirmation" the guy was mean and threatened to call back often until he got all the information he wanted.  I am tired of their calls.  They will not take me off their list.  I called their 888 number to complain and it did not connect, just hung up (I guess they do not want to be bothered during thier business day).  MM

Yes, I had the exact same experience as 'Semi'.  We are a green business, but I am sure it is just a cold call sale for their for fee service.  Just tell them you are not interested and please take you off their call list.

A man called from this number 888-518-0184, my husband answered. When my husband told the man our number was not the business number he was trying to reach the man just went on and on so my told him to call the business gave them the correct number and hung up.  Minutes later the same number called us back my husband said not to pick up it was the same number calling back and we continued to eat breakfast with our children (our youngest is 5). The answering machine picked up the call and the man proceeded to say "I don't give a s***...". We tried to call the number back only to get a recording with out anything identifing the company.

8/4/09: 2:50pm again today - I have received calls from this number every day this week at this time from #888-518-0184. When you answer, no response and immediate hang up. Today I called it back and a recording said it was an environmental survey company - did not provide the name of the company. No ability to speak to anyone or leave a message.

Calls all the time around 3pm PST. Never leaves a message and hangs up as soon as I pick up the phone.

Caller ID shows toll free number 888-518-0184.  I don't usually answer but they keep calling several times a day and leave no message.  I answered this morning and heard a lot of background talking but they hung up on me.  It is most annoying.

These guys are looking to SCAM you into renewing your domain name at a much higher cost than you are currently paying.

My sister called me a couple of times to tell me that someone had been looking for me and wanted to know if I was still in business at an address I have not lived in since 2000.  My sister did not verify anything for them.  The weird thing is that if they wanted me, a Google search would have provided all of my latest information.  I wondered why they called my sister, because I had not given her number to anyone.  After reading most of the posts here, I decided to check the public registration on my old domains.  Sure enough, there was a connection.  I had purchased a domain for my sister in 1999 and listed her as a contact.  (I paid for for a 10-year registration becuase she had big ideas for success.) Since they are looking for business owners and my old phone number is no longer valid, looks like they just started calling numbers and asking for me.

DO NOT GIVE THESE FOLKS THE TIME OF DAY AND REPORT THEM.  This is the scam:  You may be paying $7 - $12 a year for your domain name. You have a few months left before it expires, or it has expired but still in the redemption period.  They call in to say your domain is about to expire. They do not tell you that they are not the company who originally registered you. You panic because you do not want to lose your domain.  They offer to renew or reinstate your domain for $24.95 annually.  The price that these guys pay as resellers is around $3 per domain.  So, they make almost $22 per domain!  Then, they set you up for automatic payment and bill you again next year.  Multiply that by the thousands of domain owners they scam everyday.  Yes, as you can tell, this happened to my once.  When I realized what had happened, I trnsferred my domain name back to my original reseller.

I was bored so I answered the phone...  silence on line for several seconds, then they asked if this was _____________ (the name of my business).  Since the goofball had called my home, I just said "No it is not" and he hung up.

they keep calling, every time there is a long delay. usually we just hang up, this time i waited a bit longer and all of a sudden a guy came on the phone. he asked for my name and if our business is still at X address (haven't been at this address for 10 years). he used typical phone marketer tricks like repeatedly using my name. at first i thought it's real, then i got suspicious because he said he's gonna send us a snail mail confirmation letter for this FREE update. i asked for the company's name, googled as we talked and found this site. i immediately said sorry, but i do not want to be listed on their website and good bye. he got it right away, politely wished me a good day, click.

I also have been receiving continuous annoying calls from this company. After reading about the go green thing someone posted, I did a search on the company and found this number.   866-868-9314. I called them and told them I was already on the do not call list and if they ever called me again I was going to make sure they were fined for doing so. They immediately took my number off their list. This company is based out of Florida. Hope this helps someone.

Someone from this # just phoned our small business, after repeated hello's I heard the what sounded to be an Asian man mumbling so I hung up.

This stuff isn't free - we get the calls all the time about "Free Listing"  and some even use "Yellow Pages" to make you believe it is legit. Because I won't talk to them I am now receiving invoices that look like a real invoice but in fine print at the bottom of the "invoice" it states - This is not an invoice etc...

I just nodded my head until I was transferred to the signup grab your CC guy; then told him no, I do not want your service.

He was unpleasant after that, so I hung up.

I got a call from these people.  They're some kind of survey company.

after saying hello there was a 10 second delay.. then an unidentified female caller came on and asked if this was "acme"?   i just hung up

A few seconds of nothing but people talking in the background, and then a surprised-sounding young man asking if this was our company, after I'd answered with, "(company name), (my name) speaking, how may I help you?" I confirmed that it was, and he asked if I was the manager. I said no, asked what this was about, and he hung up.
