I called the number back and a woman answered: "Thank you for calling Festiva Resorts. How may I help you?"
Becky 2011-06-06 21:05:41 Unknown
They left a message of a song playing and that is it.
Andrea 2011-06-06 21:05:41 Unknown
I just received a second call from this number at 9:25 EST.
I answered yesterday when they called around 4:00 PM, but no one was there and it hung up.
SO annoying!!! Maybe I'll call back and tell them to take me off their list and stop calling...
Leelee 2011-06-06 21:05:41 Unknown
I received the call at 2:51 pm..The message was a male humming.
KC 2011-06-06 21:05:41 Unknown
Exactly 5 PM pacific. I heard a womans voice and then she hung up. I get this # at least once a day now, how do we stop it?
KM 2011-06-06 21:05:41 Unknown
Sick of the phone calls.
Trying to figure out how to get them to stop calling without calling them.

This is a timeshare condo in ORLANDO, FLORDIA which I had stayed at while visiting area They called about 6 times, hung up before I could answer or left music messages... before I called them and got taken off the list. Hope that works....

I keep getting calls from this number and I don't pick up on unknowm callers, especially 888 types. I believe this is some type of collection agency which should not be bothering me as I use CASH not cards!
beacher 2011-06-06 21:05:41 Unknown
I had three (3) missed calls showing on my cellphone. When I called the number and told them I had missed calls from that number, they hung up. They had begun calling at 10:00 am, and each hour after that.

They called me during the work day (I am a teacher). I called back after school and a woman told me I won a cruise. When I asked her where I filled out the "card" she said they have them all over. Hmm...
The noise in the background sounded like she was either in a very busy home, at a school, or some other very busy place. Certainly not an office.
It's a timeshare, I'm sure, and they want you to sit thru a 90 minute (or so) presentation to win the cruise et al. If you know how to say NO a lot of times, you're in great shape. But they are HARD SELL and will not let up. When they finally give up, they'll really give you a hard time about accepting your "prize".
But the good news is, by LAW they must honor their prize and it'll be a nice time.
just say NO!

timeshare scammers call right at 9:00 pm

They said they were giving away vacation packages for a resort I stayed at previously. However if they were the actual hotel they would have known I canceled that reservation and never stayed there. I asked them to mail me the information on the deal they had, and they balked. Said they couldn't do it. They tried to point me to a website that looked like a grade schooler could have done better creating.

I am recieving 3 calls a day from this number. Very annoying!

Ha! Ha! OK. I was wondering what this was since I've been getting these calls 2x per day for the past 4 days. Didn't answer any of them and, of course, they didn't leave a message. Once I saw this board and figured out how they got my number, I just added it to my auto-reject list ... buh-bye. Great feature.
val 2011-04-14 20:08:56 Unknown
have had repeated calls from them, i do not know how they get my number nor do i care. they need to STOP calling me. i don't give a damn what they are trying to sell me, i don't want it. the one time they called at a somewhat convenient time I answered and they didn't even say anything. If you are going to harass me atleast have the balls to say something. STOP CALLING ME.

I got the call from these guys also. It was also because of a contest at the Canes game. I don't blame the Canes though. Every one of those contests has a sponsor and every one says something like "by continuing you agree to be contacted by.....". It's just part of the business model. With that said, I'm guessing the Canes didn't count on these guys being rude and continually harassing people.
Cody 2011-03-14 18:15:00 Unknown
I also entered the contest at the Hurricanes game on March 9th 2011. They started calling me today but I haven't picked up. Kind of sad that you enter a contest at the hockey game and get your phone number sold and harassed for it.
Matt 2011-03-11 22:32:43 Unknown
Wow!! I entered via text at a Canes game recently also. Just got a missed call on my cell from that number. Evil!!
Jay 2011-03-05 00:53:36 Unknown
I stayed at the resort in Atlantic Beach. It is a nice place, but that is no excuse for incessant and rude telemarketers. There is professional protocol to all industries and this company has neither.
Backwoods_boy230 2011-03-01 15:13:10 Unknown
Thanks man cause ive had calls every day from that number. I entered a contest at a mall in SC to win a polaris utv through a text message and they sold my number too i guess. So dont enter any of those things either.
Symtron 2011-02-09 15:48:50 Unknown
I added them to my contact list on my cell. and then proceeded to add a special ringtone with the volume of zero. So they call, my phone gets the call but the ringer does not ring. The phone lights up, but I am not disturbed by a ringing cell phone. That is my revenge
G K 2011-02-03 18:44:18 Unknown
So that's how they got it! It was for that text message contest at the Canes Game! Thanks Spaz for the heads up...I'm a season ticket holder for the Canes and will definitely let them know of the harassment.
jules 2011-02-02 20:49:10 Unknown
Spaz - we must have been at the same Hurricanes game because I texted the answer to the trivia question too - I can't believe the Hurricanes Camp is allowing this - guess they really DO need the money? I'm getting these calls every day also - I reported the # to the Do Not Call registry but I don't know if that helps or not. In the past week they have called several times a day and I am about to SCREAM!
Courtney 2011-01-28 17:25:53 Unknown
Thats exactly how they got my number too!
But they're saying that I need to go to Myrtle Beach to "claim' anything
Courtney 2011-01-28 17:22:15 Unknown
They call me everyday. usually get no answer when i pick up and no voice message when i dont, but today a man said that i won a 100 dollar visa card and that i have to come pick it up in myrtle beach. apparently i filled out a card to win $500, someone won that one but they had a few $100 ones left over.
i played along for a bit then just got tired of it.
Alice 2011-01-28 02:49:37 Unknown
Ha. I was wondering about the calls -- I also entered a text message contest at Hurricanes game. Haven't answered and will continue to do so.
Nate 2011-01-28 01:00:53 Unknown
Same here. Wondered how they got my cell number. 3 calls in 3 nights. Now i realized from the posts above they got my number at the canes game. Thanks canes origanization!

KLB, in the process of responding to that text message game, they tell you that you'll be contacted by the sponsor... no big mystery. Having said that, I just got a "missed call" from this number, and I'll just decline if they call again and hopefully that will be that.
