just keep calling and eventually they will be available, and even after the account is cancelled they give your credit card number to other companies and they will charge you too and when you call they say oh is because you signed up for government grants and never stops. we are going to close our bank account to end this.

Too bad it's only after the fact that I found out this same info as mentioned in this.

This is such deceptive business practices that Grant Connect follows.

When I talked to them to cancel they tried to explain how I accepted the other offers by clicking the submit order button.

Grant Connect, ID Lockon, and Member Legal Net should all go to jail for being scam businesses.  If they were legit they could get real customers but instead they steal money with the fine print shield to hide behind.

AVOID these scammers!
this is a huge scam people!

I did not get a call from them peray but i did find this number attatched to my banking statement with a charge of nearly $40 bucks! I called them and it was some sort of grant thing. I don't even remember signing up for it but deffinately is a huge scam! First off free money never take money to get, look it up your self. Secondly, after having to go through 40 minutes of argueing with some one to give me back my money, I dont think anyone shold go through this!

Hi,

I could never get anyone to answer the phone.  After coming to this site I got the names of Grant Connect, ID Lock on and Member legal net. I found out that when you sign up for the $2.78 postage for grant information you also (in the fine print) sign up for the other two I listed above.  I got an answer from ID Lock on and they told me to look in my junk mail; there may be something to the effect you have become a member....  I called my bank and filed a claim and cancelled my debit card; it seemed the easiest way to stop any further charges.

Best of luck

Yes, my spouse did the same thing.  Ordered the $2.78 Grant Connect.  He didn't read the fine print.  I found the $39.95 on our bank stmt 7 days later.   I did cancel, but i'm out the $39.95.   This is a scam.

I found out about this from one of my bank statements.  There was a $39.95 charge on my account.  I came on here and found out that there are 2 other memberships I signed up for.  I called all three to cancel my account and get my $39.95 back.

I successfully canceled all accounts and even got my money credited back to me.  Now I have to wait 3-10 days.

Note: I was on hold with Grant Connect for 20 minutes.  The other two, less than 5 minutes.

This number is the phone number that www.grantconnect.com uses when they charge your bank account the monthly fee + servicing fee ($39.95) listed in their Terms & Conditions after you have signed up to receive the "free cd-rom" from their "service."  Beware that you have most likely unknowingly also signed up for two other services that will also start charging you a monthly fee - ID LockOn and Member Legal Net.  To call to cancel these:

Grant Connect 1-888-573-6126
ID LockOn 1-800-741-0372 (or 1-800-418-4817)
Member Legal Net 1-888-642-0016

I called all three "companies" and found out I had membership accounts at all three that would start charging me after a "free trial period" -- I did not realize when I signed up to receive the free CD-Rom that I was giving my bank account information to all three companies.  Reading the Terms & Conditions (after having to give a name and address to be able to even access them again)I now see that I should have read them more carefully, but this is definitely a scam that they are running since the Terms & Conditions are in such fine print and they're banking on no one really reading them.  You can find the Terms & Conditions at:

https://www.grantconnectoffer.com/gc_001/terms

Watch out!  If you don't cancel, you will end up paying $39.95 + $19.95 + $12.95 each month for these piggyback offers.

I couldn't get the $39.95 back, but at least I won't be charged any more in the future.  Tell people to be wary of signing up for Grant Connect.

I noticed a charge of $39.95 on my bank statement. I called them and they reversed the charges. The company is called Grant Connect and after 7 days, when you haven't even received the grant packet yet, they charge you the above mentioned amount. This company did not call me, this is the number for contact that came up on my bank statement.
