I received a post card in the mail that was titled Southwest Celebration with a picture of an airplane on it .
On the other side of the card it stateded that if i call within 48hr I would receive 2 round trip tickets coach class airfare to fly anywhere in the continental US and also recieve a 3 day 2 night stay at a Hilton or similar hotel free .
I called the 1885982322 number and spoke with a young lady and the first question I ask was are you Southwest airlane and she said no that they were  a travel company .Then she wanted some personal information about how much was my total household income was and I ask if its frees why is that important and she stated that they really needed that in order for me to qualify and then she ask again if my total household income was below or above 30,000 so just to see what she would say I told her below and she quickly said you don't qualify and I ask again how is that if it's free.Clearly a scam because then she transfered me to a cruise travel service.

Got same p/c with "SOUTHWEST" (Airlines) Celebration, stating CONGRATULATIONS with my name, saying in celebration of 2014, I was selected to receive 2 RT tix to anywhere in the contiguous US! And in addition, if I called within 48 hrs., I'd also receive a 3 day 2 nite hotel stay at Hiltons brand hotels. So I called 1 888 598 2322 as I was directed and mentioned promo code 530-NY, which person answering directed me to attend a 60-90 presentation at a local hotel after I was asked 3 questions. 2 of which they wanted to know was I married, and whether I had an income of at least $50,000 to qualify!

Got the same card today for Southwest. BUT they don't print it Southwest AIRLINES, just Southwest and a  nondescript photo looking up at a GENERIC plane flying. I'm supposed to call within 48 hours to receive my 3 day, 2night stay at a HILTON HOTEL.

Got the postcard today in Utah. Picture of a soaring airliner with the words, "Southwest Celebration", implying it came from Southwest Airlines. (Fooled my wife.) I've seen enough of these to know better. Phone number to call is 1-888-598-2322. BBB has already issued a warning about to consumers about this.

If you're reading this, congratulations! You're doing your homework before picking up the phone. If more people had a spec of common sense it would put these scammers out of business.

No thanks.  And you haven't really won anything, if you have to attend a 90 minute hard sell presentation, or if you have to give your credit card number.  And people are receiving these postcards when they absolutely have NOT signed up for anything, anywhere.  Nice try, shill.

I received a postcard from Southwest (Celebration?). All of you are so quick to shout SCAM! But is it really a scam? It's a timeshare pitch, and you likely signed up for it without knowing. When you sign up for a raffle or sweepstakes, do you check the box at the bottom? TADAAAA!

Like any timeshare pitches, just say no. And know HOW to say no. The deals themselves are pretty cool after the hour & a half squeeze to sell you a garbage vacation. I'd never fork over 13,000 bucks for timeshare....but they don't know that.

FYI.....the offer I received was a flight for 2 anywhere in the US AND hotel(3 days/2 nights) for about 250-300 bucks. If you stay on the phone long enough, they tell you the business/prices and confirm all specifics before you hang up.

My wife and I are Timeshare Offer gurus. We go to several of these a year and have learned the art of saying no. You folks should try one like in Disneyworld. You can save a bunch by giving up........90 minutes of your time.

"Southwest Celebration" (tries to make you think it's from Southwest Airlines -- but it never says what airline...

undoubtedly there are strings attached for that "3 day 2 night hotel stay at Hilton OR SIIMILAR hotels. (Hey, is "similar" simply that it's a "hotel?")

Got the postcard with Southwest Airlines on the front.  Went to the presentation and listened for 90 minutes.   The presentation has misleading information, the company offering it is "mysterious", meaning they do not disclose too much about themselves, and it is a high pressure sales job.   They sit down with you, one-on-one, and when the initial offer was rejected by us, there were several other offers, each better than the one previously.  This tells me they are way overflated to begin with or they do not plan to deliver.  We turned down all offers and got our coupon for free round-trip airfare and hotel.  Read the fine print on these coupons and they want a "refundable" deposit but do not say when the deposit will be refunded back to you.  I had to drag my husband there (he almost walked out in the middle of it) and it was a good lesson for me (again) not to give these scammers a chance.  Wonder how many people are taken in by it.

I to have received a post card for a Southwest Celebration offer for 2014. I have a call into Southwest to let them know about this scan.  Thanks to these posts I too will not be calling the number listed on the post card.  What action can one take against these scams, there needs to be a way of making them accountable?

First off, Mine said "Southwest Celebration" under the picture of an undiscipt airplane (witn no logo on it).  The back page at the top says, "Southwest Celebration", but nowhere does it say "Southwest Airlines".  The card never mentions the airline by name, it is a scam to make you think that it is sponsored by an airline.  This is one of those things that you have to read between the lines to really see.  Also, they are playing on the human nature of people that want something for nothing.  It's a "phishing expedition".

Exactly as tedjuno described. My husband just received a postcard yesterday. It angers me as this postcard is also possibly being delivered for free by our USPS. It states "Receipt responsible for all applicable taxes", don't they mean receipient? None the less, it's like a foreign response to a flipping Craigslist ad. Maybe this is Chinese state sponsored bs. My husband just flew Southwest a few days ago and that makes me wonder if their website has been hacked or if there is someone that is able to send information outside of the Southwest computer system.

My husband got the post card with "Southwest Celebration" at the top, a photo of an airplane on the front, and offer for a 3 day 2 night hotel stay at Hilton or similar brand hotel, and 2 round trip airfares.  I doubt that Southwest Airlines would appreciate this ripoff of their trademark and the irony is that it says that "All trademarks and services marks are the property of the respective owners."  That's right...the trademark belongs to Southwest Airlines!! Not the scam artist that is sending this out. Not planning to call the phone number!

Received postcard from this number on monday April 7, 2014.  Two free round trip flights in country.  Allegedly for Southwest Airlines, x, name of airline not mentioned.  Called Southwest and was informed that no such promotion existed.  Called the number from my office, did not get Southwest phone tree and hung up.  Then I went to this site.  Glad for the information, should have run the number by your site sooner

I got postcard today supposedly from Southwest Airlines. Looks like they are covering all the airlines. In the small print the word responsible was mispelled -responsinle. Just a clue that something is amiss!
