This number appears on Craigslist. When I called the number back the rep. that answered pushed for a credit card number in order to charge me $1.00 for an immediate listing of houses for rent or sale that are currently undergoing foreclosure, foreclosed, or in between refinancing negotiations. The Rep. said that the nearest office to me was located in Las Vegas, NV, and I'm living in the bay area, CA. Assured me that there would be one charge to my card, and he wouldn't provide me with an address for mail-in. BEWARE!

These scammers spam craigslists all across the country.  They also use the number 888-618-6740.

Something is not right with them. I called in regards to a listing on Craigslist and the woman I spoke to (Courtney) was nice at first, then she wanted me to sign up for some list of properties. I cut her off and told her I was only interested in more information about the house in the listing and she became stern saying that wasn't possible. Then she berated me about knowing nothing about foreclosed homes and the process of acquiring these homes - Even though, this house was not listed as a foreclosed home, and I have obtained 2 houses via sheriff sale already - but she's probably right. I told her she shouldn't be so rude to people she doesn't know and hung up the phone. Be wary of these people.
