PRESORTED FIRST-CLASS MAIL US POSTAGED PAID LAS VEGAS, NV PERMIT NO. 2736

Nowhere on the card does it state you've won anything.
"We've selected you to receive" does not mean what you receive/accept is free of charge.
"To claim this special offer" does not imply free.

The PROMO CODE is the geographic area + the 2-digit month and 2-digit year their mailing went out by postal mail.

I agree it's a marketing pitch.  It would be nice to find out where they buy or collect their contact information as they had my nickname and last name mail merged onto the postcard. To snuff these guys out you have to get to the source providing your address, etc. in the first place.

I intend to call their 888-598-2322 number from a public pay phone and keep the person that answers on the phone for as long as possible to waste as much of their sales time as possible.  Fight back with me folks!

Really?  I went to this promotion.  WHY would they expect you to sign up IMMEDIATELY - NOW - without getting anything from them in WRITING other than a slideshow presentation where they tell you how the "club" works.  If you don't want to join TODAY - NOW - you get escorted OUT without so much as a piece of paper telling you WHO THEY ARE and how to contact them.  If it's such a great deal, why can't they give me information to take home and research and if I like it, maybe I'll join tomorrow or the next day.  Their Facebook page has 8 "likes" when they supposedly have over 150,000 members.  How is that possible?  Their website has NO PHONE #.  You cannot contact them.  Why is that??  Any legitimate vacation club will have a way to contact them and not force you to sign up at the promotion only.  Our "salesman" pouted like a CHILD when we would not sign up.  It was ridiculous!!

Why do these websites, one of which is for a now defunct "travel club" have identical descriptions for "About Us"?  And each one says "over 300,000 other people have made the very same decision"???

So people continue to label these "freebies" as a scam. All of you all that continue to make these accusations about it being a scam are the first ones to go listen to the presentations and if you were able to keep a open mind would realize that not ALL timeshares or vacation clubs are scams! You've got to realize that if you all are going to vacation your going to spend your money somewhere so if there's a program that will save you time and money I'm confused on how it's a scam?  Of course there have been a few bad apples but that doesn't mean that the whole bunch is spoiled and please understand that when you make slanderous remarks like the ones I've read above you've already assumed the worst which is not only fair to you "as the consumer" it's also not fair for us who do work at reliable companies that can actually improve the quality of your vacations and YES it's true even save you money that you'll spend without our service

Just received post card in the mail today "Delta Fly Away Promotion" - came from Las Vegas with telephone number 888-252-0898.

It reads "In celebration of our new year packages we've selected you to receive 2 round trip airfares to anywhere in the contiguous United States - good for the next 12 months".

"Call within 48 hours and receive a 3 day 2 night hotel stay at major brands".

I didn't call, I threw the post card out - not trying to get scammed. We do typically fly Delta when we travel, and just took our last vacation 13months ago...we have been booking through travelocity. I wonder if that's how they got our information!?!?!?!

I suggest you provide them with your credit card and bank account numbers as well as any other personal information they ask for ASAP before someone else "wins" your "prize". At a minimum call them so they know you are willing to respond to scammy offers - that way you will get a lot more calls/letters with great offers. I did just fall off the truck so you might want to consult someone with a bit more common sense and not follow my advice.

You were kidding right?

Postcard with the American Airlines logo and "Fly Away Promotion" on front and AA name on back.

"Congratulations we've selected you to receive 2 round trip airfares to anywhere in the contiguous United States - good for the next 12 months!
Call within 48 hours and receive a 3 day and 2 night hotel stay at major brands.
To clain this special offer, simply call and mention your promo code
1-888-639-6990"  [promo code is three letters, dash, three numbers]

No website listed on this card, but some fine print including this gem "All componets [sic] of this offer are fulfilled by a third party."

Still a scam. How can they still be doing this?

I got the same one as Freddy.

Return address is a sticker on the envelope (nice touch to make it seem authentic) and a sticker for a stamp (though it says "Presorted First Class"). Address is 1005 River Knoll Drive, Holly Hill, FL 32117.

There is no River Knoll Drive in Holly Hill, FL. Fake address. But close enough to a real one. There's a River Knoll Lane, and according to county records, is not owned by someone with the last name Evans. (This internet thing lets you see all sorts of information!)

Move along, folks, nothing to see here.

Also, another way to tell this is a scam is to do a google search on the address. What you find is there is no such address; only River Road "Lane", not "Drive"

I did not get a phone call, but I did get a letter in the mail with 1-888-639-6990.

The letter?s envelope had a return address label as follows:
Mary Evens
1005 River Knoll Drive
Holly Hill, FL 32117

It had a ?Presorted First-Class? postage stamp typically used by bulk mailers.

Though the letter first appears to be on a Travelocity letterhead, closer inspection shows it is not.

It is an undated form letter that was pre-printed. My name was added in the greeting afterwards in a different type and was not aligned with the rest of the greeting.

The letter states I won airline tickets, as well as a $50 Travelocity Hotel Cash Card.

The letter looks exactly like that found at the following web page, except for the phone # & Offer Code KIWA:
http://www.nhsconsumerlawcenter.org/wp-conten ... city-Letter.pdf

This is obviously a typical travel package scam. Best to trash and ignore!

I got the Delta postcard today in Dayton OH with a return number of 1-888-211-0378. The small print in the lower left corner read: All trademarks & service marks are the property of their respective owners....All components of this offer are fulfilled by a third party. Bingo! = not from Delta. I also checked the Delta website - no such deal is listed.

I got the exact same card.  They are using the Travelocity name to get you to read the card.  I am sure they got my mailing address from a credit card company, which I will address separately.
