No, Pestered, it is not illegal for them to call you unless you have a do not call number registered.

Having said that, I do have a do not call number, it is not a business line, and these people "pestered" me anyways. I am especially disgusted that they left a fake name with my call screening, when the person I spoke to gave another name entirely.

I was also told it would take 30 days for them to remove my number.  Happily, I have reported them to the FTC and will continue to do so each time they hassle me.

I got a call from energy company at my office my lease includes utilities so I told the woman to stick her energy up her a#* and hung up. I'm sure they'll call again.

These people repeatedly call our organization. Another energy company. We already have another service established with no intention of changing. Thought it was illegal for people to call us that we haven't done business with before. But wonder if energy companies are exempt to this rule? Either way, this caller is very annoying with their persistence and wish they would stop.
