They are allowed to call between 8  AM and 9 PM.  There are no restrictions on the days that they may call in Federal Guidelines which supersede state law unless the state law is more restrictive.

If you cosigned the loan and your daughter is not paying, then you will be responsible for the money borrowed, plus interest, plus any fees that were agreed to in the contract just as if you were the original debtor.  They will call and attempt to contact both of you until this is resolved.

I thought they were not allowed to call on Sunday  or after 8 PM at night Is this not true ??signed? They call all the time because I co-signed a loan with my daughter.

co signed a car loan for my daughter they call up to 6 times a day.  This morning they crossed the line, its Sunday, don't think you can call on Sunday.  I'm going to find out.  I HATE ALLY FINANCAL they would never get the chance to finance anything I try to finance

I have a car loan through Ally.  When I dialed that number back it said "Thank you for calling Nuvel."  I have no idea who that is.  Does Ally not do their own collection calls or something?

Obviously, people are posting that they have made arrangements and they keep calling in spite. Have you considered using the organ between your ears? or what about your eyeballs? They do work don't they? Can you read? I didn't post this in braille so I don't think it will get through to you but anyway, Ally harasses people even when arrangements have been made. Don't be an idiot.

Ally Financial. They employ idiots. You have to be a moron to work for them. You also have to have horrible English. Apparently, having broken English makes it seem so innocent. After all, how could someone with broken English possibly have the ambition to harass and annoy late payers? They can't speak the language that well, so why would they want to call constantly? Another interesting tidbit, when you make payment arrangements, they pretend they forgot you made payment arrangements and then make up an excuse as to why they're calling. The last idiot said she called back to re-confirm that I was going to make the payment as agreed. This was simply ONE day after making the arrangements which was to pay the following week. Then, another idiot called and said it was because they wanted to see if I could pay earlier. Still, yet again, they called and said they wanted to see if I could post-date a payment so they can log the confirmation number into their system in order to stop the calls. Each time, it was the same annoying process: 1) ID you, 2) Remind you of your current obligation, 3) arrogantly suggest that a payment will be made during the phone call. I have yelled at them in fits for their ignorance. They are apologetic. They make the excuse that they have no control over the phone calls. I remind them they work for Ally and that I, too, have no control over their needless calls aside from making the payment arrangements which  I have done. So, in summary, Ally goes out of their way to annoy you as a way to cause you to pull money out of your A$$. At what point do these idiots "get it". Times are tough, payments will be made late. I feel sorry for anyone signing a loan with them. They are the worst loan company.

I payed 500 $ out of 622 due payment... the other 122$ was one day past due and these do***e bags call me on thanksgiving. They have no empathy.

I have no unpaid bills and keep getting call from financial services

They call me on Sunday mornings, while I'm in church .  Very annoying!  When I try to call them back it says they are closed.

THEY HAVE CALLED EVERYDAY THIS WEEK AND LEAVE NO MESSAGE. I JUST TRIED CALLING THEM BACK AND SAYS THEY ARE A COLLECTION AGENCY TRYING TO COLLECT A DEBT. I JUST PUT MY RESTRICTION ON ALL INCOMING CALLS...........I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE NAME OF THE COMPANY BUT DON'T MATTER IF THEY NEED SOMETHING FROM ME THEY OUGHT TO HAVE LEFT A MESSAGE........

It's Ally Financial. Car loans, bank loans and I believe mortgages. They call if you even one (1) day late on your payments.

I receive a call everyday from this shady rude company, They take late fees and apply them the way they want to your account , which leaves you up side down only half of carnote made.And late fees continue to get higher.

I don't even have a loan with them.  I was out for 1 day at work and when I returned, there were 18 calls to my work number.....18!!  I don't even give that number out to anyone.  Never leave messages or say anything when I pick up.  I have already filed a report and a lawyer is now involved.

This is some type of collection company.  They are calling my work number for someone who doesnt work here.. I cant get them to stop.

I have received several calls looking for another person to collect a debt. The last call used up all my phone minutes and I am sick of it.

The problem is cell phone numbers are being re-used so often now.
It may not have nothing to do with you. Ignore it or
do what I just did and have a very ugly talk using a few four letter words.
Have not heard from them in over three days. They ask me not to be so rude.

How on earth did they even get my number!  I have nothing to do with a car loan. Idiots like these guys need to be reported and STOPPED.  Where do I go?  This is a totally unsolicited call and they left no message. Since I am job hunting I am even more at the mercy of jerks like this. I am desperate to get a job, have lots of my info out there, and then have to think twice about answering my own phone for which I pay premium levels for the contract. Of course a potential employer may phone me from a number I don't recognize.  I hope there is some help out there to protect us from this type of caller who preys on us.  Ugh! 11/05/2012

Call everyday including weekends. Call at 8 or 9:00 on weekends. Annoying.

Great  I do  ot even have an auto loan and I get calls from this number 3-4 times a day

nevell is own by allly bank which thwy use nvell . i talk a supvisior back mya agree to paid 391.+15.00 pd by phone on the 15 of may and the 18 of june broth payment on time. i ask the upaid late change , htold not worrry about it try keep up after the pay june , i stard get phone call from the 888 6738490 which is diff from the number i call  to talk to the suspvisior. nuvell employee do not id number contract, i should got the suspivisor name. te calll me 7to 8 time a day . the 1886738490  about the late change  which was going put at the end of the payment. the phone number to be talk as person  i though suspvision  perlike and understand  and my nex it dun on the 20 july

Hahahaha... now that is funny!!!  Call you and ask for proof of who you are!  I'm in a law office.. they just called the switchboard number here... but as I do w/most 800/888 calls.. when you answer.. and you hear nothing for the first 5 or so seconds.. i wait for them to say hello... and then i hang up.  i'm surprised the guy didn't call back.  Either he misdialed or looking for someone here i guess.

After I told the girl I was recording the call as well, I asked her for the original creditor, amount owed and payment address.  She put me on hold to get a supervisor who asked for proof of who I was.  WTF??

I then asked them to Cease & Desist all collections activities.  If they can't tell me that info, why in the heck would I pay them.  I guess they don't want to be paid.

If they don't comply, they will be sued.

It is Nuvell which is also part of Ally Financial auto loan company.
