same story as above, they called my ex husband.  But yes I paid & they did send me the proof of debt. Now I dont have to go to court.

i got a call from a private Unknown # saying that they are looking for some body on behalf of me to serve a semon to court and they gave me a bogus file # and a phone # 681-888-2230 if you received this kind of call ,those people try to scam you and reported immediatly

The FEDS have just shut one of these companies down, and are looking to shut down more.
When they called and it came up withheld I let it go to voice mail, when I listened to the message and they tried to say that there was a case against me and they were working with law enforcement, I knew it was a scam. Sure enough when I goggled them I got to this page.
SO I thought I would have some fun, I called them back let them know I knew what they were up to, told them I am reporting them to the District Attorney and the Attorney General, and that this call is recorded, and that they are to take me off their list immediately.  They began to back paddle so fast, it was awesome, they even told me to never call them back? OH BUT I WILL. LOL
I then followed up with the Attorney General  Consumer hotline at 503-378-4320 and it was confirmed that this company is a scam and that the FEDS just closed one of these down in the last few days, and are trying to weed out more, so it is very helpful to them if you report.

They just called me and said they needed to serve a summons, this is the second time the, first time they called and said i owed money for a credit card ive never owned, i called my banker he said it was a scam and to ignore it. This time when the call came in i told them she wasnt available....

Same deal here, they've called my place of work twice now over 3 days.  Same story.  
latest is they left a message and have the last 4 of my social.

For your financial safety, DO NOT give these people ANY personal or banking information!  Know who
 you are doing business with, & have an attorney/debt relief company run interference for you.  I speak
 from experience.  Trust me, if you connect these people to your attorney's office, they will NEVER
 contact you again. Financial attorneys love nothing more than to deal with scammers & put them out

Call came in as *Private Caller* on phone ID. A man who would not identify himself or who he represented  when asked, said he was a Process Server and wanted to know if someone whould be home M-F 9-5 so they can serve a court summons. He spoke extremely fast, would not give details other than a case number, name who they wanted to get a hold of, and did I know them and 888-681-2230 to call, They would make 2 attempts to serve and they would make a arrest if compliance wasn't mad to make the call. This has SCAM written all over it.  Reported to the National Do Not Call List, local Police and now to my Attorney Generals Office asap.

To my knowledge I do not have any complaints against me. I was left this number and a case number. I am very skeptical to call back. I do not want to give my information to anyone without having more information.

They called my mom and told her I had to call back within the hour. That they were trying to serve me with a supina.

I got a call from this # 909233811. A woman left a message stating a case # and a 24 hour time to call back for an action being taken against me and that if I did not call back within that time frame they would not be able to help me with the matter. That # did not take inbound calls when I returned the call and directed me to another # 18886812230 to call. A woman answered that # stating they were a "Corporation" and transferred me to some man who said the were a law firm. Come to find out they were looking for my ex girlfriend but would not give me any info as to why they were looking for her and if I could relay their # and case # to her. Yeah good luck with that chuck because I haven't seen that psychopathic lying bi*** in four years!

The reason it's a scam is because these people refuse to send paperwork and they don't go thru the proper channels.  You are always supposed to send paperwork first. Also it is against the law to threaten with jail.  As they said on the news, credit card jail ended in the 1800s.  So unless I get something like a letter in my hands they will not get a call from me.  I also looked up the company and could not find it anywhere.  The closest I got was a property management company not a debt collector.

They waved lots of interest and i never had to go to court. Thankful.

Same story, called my boss. & they called me as well. I did have the credit card but I dont remember it being so high. I did sign the intrest in the first place tho. So i guess i was responsible for it. I did pay them and within the month it said PAID on my credit report. You might want to look into it before assuming its a scam.

i got a text from my cousin saying a lady left a message on his voicemail saying i had to call them within 24 hours or i will be in big trouble and sued and taken to court ! why would they call my cousin and not me ! i had a couple of friends who told me that this number is a scam ! they try to get your info or something !!

This placed called my sister, her number was unlisted and they had the nerve to call her, to tell her i was being sued. Let me just say. When a company sues you, they do not tell the whole world they are suing, they only tell their attorneys what they plan to do.. Second also I called this number back (already knowing it was a scam to get my info). I am a computer junkie and know this stuff... When i called a guy answered forgot the name though he illegally pertained to be an officer, then transferred me to a lady (whom worked out of her home), she tried saying i owed $1600 lol. I don't owe s*** to anyone. It's been 10 years since I had the credit card she had called about, and I only had a $200 limit. So where the $1600 came from is beyond me, all I can say is bring it, if you can catch my right location, instead of pin pointing and guessing where I reside or who i work for lol... But then most likely 100% you wont be receiving anything, because the only company i will pay off is the company that it was issued from, not no third party collecting info on a 10 year past debt to try to bank off it, state law statues are up!! ... STOP trying to scam off people!!.... For anyone getting this number on your caller ID answer it and tell them of the harassment law, and if they tend to keep calling you are suing THEM, for illegally trying to collect a debt that dont belong to them, and for pertaining to be law enforcement, and use scared tactics for you to pay them... least but last tell them statues are up, after so many years it no longer holds in court...

A Kendall Matthews called and the caller I'D showed private number and our number is UNLISTED! Claims we owe a credit card company almost $2000.00. We have never even had a credit card with a limit that high!! We haven't even had a credit card in over 3 years! We, too, have been threatened with court summons and cops showing up to my husband's place of employment. It's obvious this has got to be a scam. We will be checking into this further!

I, too had a phone call from a women with the number on the caller ID.  She spoke so fast that I was unable to understand her name, much less who she "represented'.  I was given a "case number", and if I did return her call, I would be "in a lot of trouble".  These bottom feeders try and intimidate you into giving them your personnel information so that they can rob you blind.  Please report these and others like them to your State Attorney General's Office immediately.  What these people do is illegal.  Any company worth while will go through the proper channels for monies owed to them.  I had a very similar incident in September of this year and these guys were ruthless, threatening to send the Sheriff to my home and have me arrested.  Do not listen, report!!!!  Goo Luck

a Brian Waters just called my job, and my cell phone and said I needed to call him back at this number by 5:00pm to avoid the embarrassement if being served court papers  at my job and have it re-routed to my home.
