I got the same call for a so call check that didnt go though my bank in 2007 (what is it with this year) as well. And for what ever their reason they couldnt send me any back up showing me when this happen. I spoke to two people, the first was a James Owen Investiging Services who suppose to work for Richards and the second James Richards Capital Mediation who said he was a mediator for Midland Financial who I am suppose to own this money to. Something just is not right about this and I told them no paper work (because he said he cannot send me any) no money DUH!! First number Owens 512-298-1073 and second Richards 888-681-5438!! This is just, I dont know fishy!! And of course they want the money up front the whole thing, but I also asked Richards why would I send the money to him if he is only the mediator!! Still just not right!! It was just a lot of craziness with this call and the more questions I asked them the more fustrated Richards was getting along with a big time attitude, hmmm I wonder why!! I guess since they said warrent for arrest I would just fork over money with no questions asked, NOT!!

this person sent me an email with a check that was stopped and told me this is from 2007 and that it would have to be payed or face a felony charge 1500.00 I never canceled a check that I remember back that long ago I called bank the are sending me a statement from that time...

He told me and sent me an email containing a copy of a cancelled check from a dealer and that I never responded to their letters and I have no regelection of stopping a check for 1535.00 in 2007 and the bank is sending me a statement about this account and the person who called me is scott chambers ext 114 at the number 1-888-681-5438 please  let me know about this he told me this is a felony it been 6 years ago and I don't live in florida I go to college and work that's it. thanks Timothy Esterly I received no paper work or info when I moved out of florida and feel this is harassment!!!

I asked mr Richard James to provide me a copy of the check via email or by fax he stated he couldn't do that. I then told him I was going to call my husband and I'll give him a call back. I spoke to my cousin who is a paralegal she stated that in the state of Florida that statute of limitation is 5 yrs and supposedly this happened in sept of 2006. She said do not call them and if they call you again inform them that they exceeded the statute of limitation to collect that debt, and not to call me no more! Thanks yef for responding. Getting a call like this can be scary but this person is a criminal scammer.  You are not going to be arrested.  Nobody legitimate calls ahead to give you a heads up that you are being arrested.  If you speak to this moron again, demand validation though the mail of this supposed check.  I'll bet he won't be able to prove anything.  Report the number to the FCC and FTC.

yes i just recieved a phone call from this mr richards and he stated that i wrote a check in the amount of 843.97 in 2007 and i have 72 hours to pay or they will come with a warrant to my place of work and to my home and arrest me. i want to know if this is a bogus call or should i be scared and pay it?

Keep getting calls from this number saying that I have a check out there from 2007 for 323.00 and if I dont pay it tbey are going to issue a warrent for my arrest, and they need a debit or credit card for payment.if this check was written in 2007 why its now 2013 you trying to get paid .there is something fishy about the whole thi g then they made a 3 way call to see if there was a warrent issued, he came back and said the could stop the warre t if it was paid.the name of the person was a mister Richards, also called from a 432 242 0472 number. If any on3 ever gets call from these number let me know
