D-N-C law breakers
These people, like Direct TV, apparently disregard the do-not-call list with abandon. I am on the do-not-call list. I have requested 3 or more times they remove my number. They call me monthly and ask the year of my car. When I tell them, they more often than not, hang up on me. My car is a 1988.

Misleading
Their game is to IMPLY* they are extending your FACTORY warranty, when they are NOT. It is a cold call and they do not know if you even own a bicycle.

Of little use
I had one caller read me the covered repairs. Their warranty largely only covers lubricated parts that if they ever fail, they can claim the car was poorly maintained. I dont know if they do that but I can tell you I would never buy this warranty. I specifically look for warranties that cover head gaskets. Head gaskets are expensive repairs unrelated to the way you maintain your car (unless you let it overheat badly) and head gasket was NOT COVERED.

My Opinion
This is a FRAUD where they piggy back on someone else's reputation to increase the perceived value of their product. Companies like this ought to be crushed by the FTC. $ave your money! $900 for a 3 year warranty that covers little. AVOID!

Keep getting same warranty calls. I'm on the do not call list at home and my cell phones. I get these calls on all my phones and work phones. I've been told the name of the company is "Warranty Services of America." I've also been told the name is "General Warranty Services  282 Main St.  Salem, New Hampshire 03079   Phone # 888-685-6150.
They are as fraudulent as it gets and extremely annoying.
Also get same crap from 960-526-8502 And a supposed supervisor named Kendra refused to give me any company address or phone number and hung up on me. I'v told them I'm on the do not call list and even gave them my number months ago to put on their do not call list. STILL GETTING HARRASSED WITH LYING BS.

I just realize I jut step away from getting jacked. Just when I tought that I was the lucky one, just when I need it the warranty.

I have been getting automated calls to my cell phone for quite some time from this "Winner Circle".  I finally answered and they directed me to an operator that sent me to another "warranty specialist".  I was told that my warranty had already expired, and been that i just got this car from a private owner about 6 months ago. I though to my self that was possible.  The specialist was very nice, even ask me wher I was from and i told him and he ask me if I was latin and that he told e he was putorican and even started speaking sanish to me, very friendly. So I was very exited because i've had some problems with my car and the estimates have been so high that I almost thought that i had to get rid of the car, but this will actuallyu solve all my probles if everything  went right and I could fix my car with the warranty. I started asking questions trying to not sound suspisious and ask if my car would have to be under some kind of inspection before getting the waranty and they imediatly said "no" that thay had my vin and everything look good. I also ask for a list of the complete coverage and he gave me one. than he started to giving me numbers of 5 year or 100k full bumper to bumper for only $2534.00 with the option for 0% interest for 12mos. or even 18mos. witha a $650, $550,$450 down with a $100, or $50 deductable, whith ever pan was most confortable for me. By this time I was writing every thing down so that I could convinced my husband. When I said that that was still some what a lot of money for me,  he even said he had a different company that could give me the same coverage with $253 down and no deductible. with monthly payments as low as $115.56 for 18mos.  Wow now that sounded like a good deal.  What an IDIOT I was!  Every time I ask him something he would say that he had to tranfer me to the "financial officer" who I kept asking questions and i felt some what pressure to close the deal, He then asked me whether I would like to pay with visa,mc, etc...so I ask if it was possible for them to call me withing two hrs, just so that I could confirmed this with my husband and that's when he informed me that they would be closing in 7 minutes nad if I didn't accept at the end of the phone call they would be unable to give me coverage at a later date since they had tryed to contact me several times and this was practicly my last chance, I was also told to take advantage of the opportunity and I it was something my husband and I desagreed on I had 30 days to cancel. Than i ask look my husband is very causious about all this things and the first thing he is going to aks me  is "if i knew the name of their company so that he can do some research and he game me the name of the company: "Winner Circle" and so I asked him to spell it for me , and so he did and a few second later the call got cut off and I did not think anything of it until  a few more seconds wend by and ithe phone didor t ring again witch it was weird because if the had alresdy made a sale, they would call imedialtly, so I started to  google it and I saw  all the info below..........................Fortunately God was telling me to check on their credentials online.  It initially looked legitimate until I perused a little further and realized the 800 number was always busy. This finally turned on the SCAM light in my brain.  The phone never ranga again.

I run a call center business and GENERAL WARRANTY SERVICES calls us almost everyday on 10 of our lines: "THIS IS THE LAST CALL REGARDING THE VEHICLE WARRANTEY ABOUT TO EXPIRE" over and over.  that GWS rep that was typing in here is a liar and he is just running a telemarketing scam and having the calls answered by an outsourced answering service.

I've been getting these calls both on my home line as well as my cell phone.  When I got through to a customer service agent, I asked for the name of the company.  She told me it was Warranty Services.  When I told her that I wanted to speak with the person she reported to, she hung up on me.  And this is after registering my cell phone number with the Do Not Call registry.

After getting what seems like the ten thousandth call in the last month from these people, I decided that that was enough.  A quick Google search led me to this site, so since they obviously are aware of its existence from earlier posts, it's time to go ahead and put them on notice that they are engaging in flagrant and rampant violation of the Telemarketing Sales Rule, 16 C.F.R. Part 310 (and specifically in violation of the "Do Not Call" provisions of that Rule - § 310.4(b)(1)(iii)(B)).

According to their 2008 Annual Report with the Secretary of State of the State of New Hampshire, the registered agent for General Warranty Services, Inc. is William M. Ranney, Jr., 314 Main Street, Plaistow, NH, 03865.  William M. Ranney, Jr. is also listed as the President of the company on that report.

This company is a SCAM. I've asked them to please do not call me again. I have no interest. When a company calls you and says. "we've sent you several notices that your vehicle warranty has expired", and they do not know what type of vehicle you own. It's just a crap a$$ telemarketer. SINCE they will not take me off the call list, I've started keeping them on the line for 20- 40 minutes. I ask them constantly to repeat things, go over what parts of thr engine are covered, what part of the transmission is covered, and after. Then I keep them on the phone for another 10 minutes because they want the vin and exact mileage, well it's a 10 minute walk to my vehicle. So if they want to waste my time. I'll waste there's. They are to stupid understand that if they're talking to me after I've asked them to call, they can't make any money scamming other people. What tards

Hi, I'm the President of GWS.  I'm a huge do***ebag with a flimsy Product/Service that's been around for less than six months but has still garnered enough bad attention to fill posts and threads throughout the web with venom about my shady company.  My business model is to have my poor employees call you constantly with no regard to "No-call lists" and requests to be removed from our sales list to try and trick you into thinking that this is your last chance to extend a warranty on a vehicle that I have no idea of the make/model/year or even if it exists.  It's likely that the person calling you has also been duped by my job ads stating they can make $700 - $1200 weekly, though there are many people like the girl who wrote this complaint ( http://www.complaints.com/2008/april/19/General_Warranty_Services__167764.htm ) about making $45 for 54 hours worked.  Whenever you receive multiple phone calls from General Warranty Services, and find yourself on the edge of losing your mind I encourage you call me, Bill Ranney at 603-685-6250 ext. 1141 as many times as my unethical company has called you and please let me have it.  P.S. I make love to children, animals and things that have died.

I've hit '8' EVERY time I've been called by this company, save for the two times I spoke directly to a representative by pressing '1' and telling them to take me off their list and I have yet to be removed from it.  Oddly, the calls come from different area codes almost everytime.  Also the automated script that starts when you answer the phones says that this is your final notice to renew.  I've never recieved so many 'final notices' in my life.  I'm hoping for a final, final notice.

I've been getting calls for a warranty for weeks. I have spoken to an operator and asked to be removed several times. They have not complied. I asked for their contact information, and the operator read it off so fast I couldn't write it down. They did not give me the name of their company. However, I did get part of the number, 888-865. I search on Google and found this.

Next time they call, I'm going get their full information. This has to stop, it's disrupting my concentration.

After receiving about 4 calls a day over the last several months I've started to try and track down information by connecting to their operators and asking for call back information.  The call actually came from a cell number: 6262595521 (this time), but the operator gave me this 888 number to call them back.  As they are obviously some sort of scam to insist that I even own a warranty and to continually call even after my asking to be removed.  Please post if you know how to take legal action or retrieve punitive damages for their violating no call lists.

Thanks!

I have repeatably asked to be removed from your system.
Every week I still get a call. My wife has received several calls to her personal cell.
I have asked for assistance.
I have asked for explanation.
No response.
For more than four months this has gone on.
Instead of making a blank statement: "Obviously this person does not know anthing about our company to make such a false statement."; try explaining to us how your company is not a scam.
Try explaining to me why your company insists on ignoring my requests to not be called.
Try explaining how your company came across an unlisted cell number and then used that ill gotten information to make a cold sales call.

Professional? Not hardly.
Honorable? No.

If you have any connection to this company, tell them to leave my family alone.

I have been getting these calls daily for more than 6 months.  The recordings go through three phases, with the last week's starting "This is your FINAL notification ...(thank God!)", but then the cycle repeats for another two months.  Entering my phone number in the "do not call" form on the GWS website does not help.

This number has been calling my work number for weeks now.  I finally called it back and pressed "2" so I could speak to a human.  A person finally answered the line (he had a noticable Jersey-type accent) and asked for my make and model.  I said that the company has been calling me, so you should have that already in your database.  He said all they get is a list of numbers that have warranty expiration.  (My Jeep is almost 10 years old and the warranty expired years ago)

My point was that I never give out my work number for anything, so how did this company get it?  He said that he would connect me to the "Compliance Department" to discuss this, after removing my number from the database.  I was then "connected" only to hear a message telling me to leave my name and number...the message voice had the SAME JERSEY ACCENT!  Hilarious!

If this company wasn't a scam, they would already have your make and model and any other pertinent information about your warranty, attached to your phone number in their database.  The fact is they don't.  Steer clear of this company and don't listen to their "GWS" posts here.
