answer in spanish and they will try to scam you to buy sprint nextel accessories

they call me every day around 9:30 am, the phone rings once and then they hang up.  can't get through to whoever it is.  would like to know who it is so i can get the calls stopped!

Called at 11:18AM on 11/3/09 and left no message.  I called 800-887-6837 and the woman told me she would forward my number to the IT director to have it removed from their call list.

I received this number on my caller id for the past two months and realized there was a call every single day. This number finally called on a weekend and when I looked the number up I found this thread. I did call the number on Paul's message and the lady that answered stated that I had called a corporate office or possibly have the wrong number but stated that she would take my number down and give it to someone in the corporate office for them to take a look into. I double checked the number with what Paul posted and wondering why she acted like she did not know what I was talking about. Regardless I hope they do stop calling and I do not see how they can legally do this. I too have been on the national do not call list for years and renewed since and I never give my number out to anyone regardless so I am unsure of how this company has gotten a hold of it. Something should be doen about this because I checked more numbers on my caller ID and found out another number and found out people were having problems with that number as well!! Talk about ridiculous.

I have also been receiving massive amounts of calls from this number and so I called the number that Paul stated in his message and I talked to a lady and she said yea, that there have been a lot of calls about that. She said to give it 30 days to completely be off their list due to the massive amount of numbers they are having to take off.

want to stop call

I called the number back and it was just a busy signal. When i looked up contact  America online i got another number and called them to tell them to stop calling and i still to this day get calls.....HOW AGGRAVATING!!!!!!!

I called Contact America at the same number that "Paul" did and the lady that answered said that they are not making the calls and are attempting to find who is making these calls for them and get them to stop.  She said that she cannot put me on a list since they do not know where the calls are coming from.

I kept getting calls from this number so did a search on it and found this board.  They are calling me mostly around 12:30 pm.  I never answer it and they never leave a message. I signed up for Do Not Call in the beginning and haven't had issues until this number...

Called twice so far. Today it was at 11:23am. Who are they??

Getting the call about 4x a day now....annoying!

They called me at 11:03 P.M. C.S.T.

Maybe everyone should call "Contact America" and hang up when they answer?

I just got the call and decided to answer and of course I hear a click and they hang up.  Should try to answer in Spanish to see what happens lol...

They keep calling and won't say anything I say hello like 3 times then just hang up

I have been getting these calls for over a week every day  no set time.  My cell is listed for the do not call. I submitted an email to contact america.  Any one get any satisfaction?

I looked Contact America on on the BBB website and they have an "unsatisfactory" rating and is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau.  There were several complaints.  I have filed a complaint so they will quit calling me 2 times a day at WORK and on my cell phone without leaving a message.  What a bunch of creeps.

Wow, this is the same number that I entered here a few days ago! This time, he said, "Hello?" I asked if I could help him, and then he hung up.

The caller ID said Unavailable, but I answered it anyway just in case. All I heard, though, was a few clicks and nothing else. It is these kinds of calls that make me more resistent toward answering calls from Unavailable.

These phone calls have been going on for a long time now and when you call you cannot get through to anyone!! It rings until I answer it and there is never anyone there!

I received a call from this number on my cell today. I called the number from Paul's comment and was told they would take my number off their list. It would take 24 hours. In a couple of days I will call back about my house phone. I have been getting alot of calls like this for at least 3 months.
So much for the DO NOT CALL list.

I called the Contact America Co. directly at this number Contact America 7777 Girard Avenue La Jolla, CA 92037 (800) 887-6837. The lady that answered the phone was very nice and deleted me from all their call lists. Hopefully this fixes the problem. She explained that the calls are made automatically by machines and it's simply any error when there is no answer. She was very straightforward in telling me that the calls are supposed to be automated sales calls. Just a bit of advice, it will be more beneficial to be nice when calling them.

every day the same call 8887356099 no one there.....

The same thing has been happening to me for a couple months now... the phone will ring with 888-735-6099 on the caller ID. I don't recognize the number so I don't answer it, but they don't leave a message so I decide to call it back. I am left on hold for a couple minutes with a message repeating Contact America... don't want to waste minutes so I hang up. It just happened again, so I searched the number in Google, and I came up with this site. There are many others with people complaining about these phone calls. Is there nothing we can do???

I keep getting a call from them to at lunch time every day.  They always hang up on me too.  I went to their web page at contact america and wrote them a message saying to stop calling me.  Will see if it works.

Keep getting fall calls from 1-888-6099, and the first time I answered I get a disconnect. Now I don't answer to see if they leave a message, and they don't.

Receive incoming calls from this number every morning around 9am est. I answered once, no response. I now hit the ignore key on my phone.

This number called my house.. and left a message on my phone saying "Why would I care?'" .. Now this happened to be the same day we had a funeral to go to. This message is rude, and I cant believe people have the nerve to do this.

18887356099 calls me every freakin day and I wanted it stopped!!!!!! Contact America is messing with the wrong person.
