I just went through this same crap with this company only they charged $100.00 to my CenturyLink bill WITHOUT my permission.  CenturyLink just plays dumb.  They removed the charge from my bill and told me to wait for a bill directly from Payment One.  I said no way am I waiting.  This is identity theft or some kind of scam.  CenturyLink did offer to put a block on my account to not allow 3rd party providers onto my bill.  Well, duh!  Why do the primary phone carriers allow any 3rd party vendors onto your bill without the customer's permission?  Now that the block is on, they shouldn't be allowed to bill through my primary carrier again.

When you call Payment One, they redirect you to another billing company that plays a recording saying they are closed and will be back after the holiday on January 2, 2012.  It's April 2012!

And Century Link takes no responsibility for this what so ever.  They wash their hands of allowing unscrupulous 3rd party billing companies to charge on your bill.  Unbelievable!

Have your primary carrier put a block on your line from 3rd party vendors.

Call your phone company if you have charges from EZip Search on your phone bills.

They will put a 3rd party bill block on and will remove the charges.

Read the fine print on your phone bill.  You DO NOT need to pay for 3rd party bill and can dispute
the charges.

This company also managed to add their charges to the monthly phone bills for my company. I do recall getting the sales call from them. I told them I was busy and they could contact me at another time. Apparently I should have paid more attention to the call!

I called the number for EzipSearch that appeared on our phone bill to dispute the charges and was told that there would be no refund since I had authorized the charges. The representative kept trying to redirect me to log in to my supposed account to set it up. I canceled any further charges and asked for the recorded conversation. I was given a confirmation code and told I would hear from a third party who stores the recordings... I guess we will see if that happens.

Then I called AT&T. I explained to the representative my conversation with Ezip and their refusal to refund the unauthorized charges. AT&T went in my account and recoursed the charges back to the company. She explained that this could mean that Ezip would be able to seeks collections directly from my company. However, with such poor business practices, I am not worried about having to dispute charges with Ezip. She also placed a 3rd party billing block on my account to prevent any further charges like this. Thank you AT&T for helping me deal with this company.

Here is the EzipSearch info from the BBB website (where they have a D rating):

Do not do business with them. Do not take their calls. They do not provide the services they claim.

I agree it is a big scam.I had similar experience. When they called me to offer free 30-day trial, I made it very clear to them that I did not want an automatic subscription of their servicesc after 30 days. The girl who was calling me repeated told me that the subscription after 30-day trial will be subject to my specific approval, they will call me or email me for my approval, and within the 30-day trial period they would also contact me 3 times to get my feedback. They never called me during the 30-day trial period and did not obtain my approval for subscription. The next thing I noticed was that my AT&T monthly bill went up, when I called AT&T to inquire about the increase in my bill, they told me that I was being billed by these people.

What did you say to them?  I have 2 charges they will only give me credit for one.  I did not authorize any charges.  I argured till I was blue, asked for supervisors, managers, they said they only have a floor manager, George, and he can't do anything.

They did the same to us. I was busy and they were calling to get us to sign up and try out the site? Then before you know it it's on your phone bill! Verizon should never authorize these charges to get put on your home phone bill!  I just called the 888 number "Customer service" for Ezip Search in Encino, CA
and discussed the two 99,95 charges on my phone bill and they agreed to remove one of them....

Same story as all the above.  Guy offered to give us free trial (I thought he said 90 days, but it might have been 30 it's been a while) in order to push customers to our website.  I was told I'd get 3 follow up calls to see if we're happy with the service and then have a chance to say if I wanted to sign up.  Now I got charged $199.90 for 2 months through AT&T who is going to block further charges from coming through.  When I called the 888-737-1000 number to complain, I was told I'd get full credit for the $199.90 in the form of a check made out to our company.  Could take 1-2 weeks.  We'll see.

I have a different number but it is a scam! Do NOT do any business with this company!

To get them to stop calling, I signed up for the 30 day trial and with each representative that called back to try to add to the service and see how it was working for me I told them I wanted it canceled. "Oh you're still in your 30 day period, someone will call before it's up to cancel with you." LIARS! No one called again and now everytime I call them, conveniently their system is going through an update and they can't cancel anything. Now I have an added $108 charge to my phone bill and I can't get them to cancel it!

I was charged 99.95 from PaymentOne Corp to my At & T business phone.  I did not authorize this service. The business phone is forwarded to a answering service so there's no way the owner could authorize this charge.  I called the number, was informed that the answering service had authorized the order.  I was told that they do not have any follow-up calls, only the initial call ordering the service, and that I will only be able to listen to the recording, not a written transcript.  I am still waiting for them to play the recording  I spent hours on the phone with customer service, only to be frustrated more.  They said they would cancel the service, but I would not be refunded the 99.95 since I am past the 30-day free trial.

The original caller told me the "free 30-day service was $19.95".  A couple of days later I spoke to a Julia @ Extension 314 who told me the service was $99.95.  No way, that's bait and switch and that I wanted to cancel.  She then said she could offer 3 zip codes for $49.95.  Still told her no, wanted to cancel.  She then went down to $25.95 for 3 zipcodes...again told her I wanted to cancel at end of 30-day free trial period.  I was no longer interested...also told her I couldn't find our free listing, either!  Then a charge for $99.95 appears on our AT&T phone bill.  When I called to dispute and repeated the above...I was told without a cancellation number the account was not canceled.  Told the Customer Service Representative I never received an email confirmation of my alledged order and had not received anything in the mail. I found out they had an incorrect email address.  When I did not received anything, I erroneously assumed they had canceled my order.  I am still trying to get a refund or for AT&T to acknowledge the scam and credit the phone bill.  What a hassle.

Yeah we recieved a call from this business also. We told them we would take a look at what they had to offer we were in the market for changing our advertising, so they said they would e-mail information about what theyhad to offer and then we never heard from them again.  Then we they just recently billed us on or phone bill for what?? Who are they??  We never said we'd dobusiness with them never agree to anything.  Like Christine said on the other post they do record and paste what you say to make it say what benifits them IT IS A SCAM JUST SAY NO!  DON'T ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THEY WILL USE IT AGAINST YOU

Watch out for these guys - JUST HANG UP.  They call themselves "Nationally Local" but they are owned by Access Local.  They offer a "free trial" for local  internet advertising (to increase your company's viability to local customers on the internet) but then they bill your telephone bill for $99.95 without your permission.  They call you over and over and over and record the calls.  Then they cut and paste everything you say in each call to work up a recording that they claim authorized them to bill you for the service.  They say you can cancel anytime but you never know how to reach them.
