Same thing here. Dont give them any info over the phone. If they ask you your personal info, birthdate etc, tell them youre not giving out that info. This is another company try to collect on a payday loan that i paid back to another company last year. They are trying to collect again...these people are crooks

I recently started getting these phone calls myself one from Frank Hall at 888-746-5422 and the other from Justin Hamilton at 888-908-8085. When you call back it goes to general voice mail box. I used to work for an identity theft protection company and let me tell you guys, this is a very common phishing scam to get you to tell them your personal information or to scare you into paying something. Do not ever give your information out to anyone you don't trust, and never give your information out to any caller. No reputable company will ever ask you to give your information out on an outbound phone call. The only time it is ever ok to give your information is if you are initiating the phone call to a reputable company that you currently do business with or are starting an account with, such as a bank or an identity theft protection company. I know for a fact that I don't have any pay day loans under my name as my company monitored for that and I never had an alert. If you feel uncomfortable or have given your information out to these people or any others, I seriously suggest getting some ID theft protection or at the very least ordering your credit reports. You are entitled to one free annual reedit report every year, that you can order from annualcreditreport.com. These reports do not include a score and you will have to pay extra for that. I have started receiving these calls and Frank Hall left a voicemail for Cynthia who I have no idea who she is.  He wants to meet somewhere or at her place of employment to serve her with papers.  I just called and left them a voicemail to tell them I am not Cynthia and I do not know her so stop calling me!  We will see what happens!

I got a call today from Frank Hall claiming he had papers to serve me as well. I've never had  a payday loan of any kind.  I have some debts that I am paying on.  Is this real or is it a scam?

Caller repeatedly calls my business phone leaving message referencing a bad check. Caller uses the wrong name. Leaves VM for me to call 888-746-5422 Caller's ID (on my phone) shows 0000000000

This number continues to call my work and leave msgs on my co-workers phones saying that they are trying to reach me over a legal matter. REALLY? This is fraud and harrassement!! I have talked to them and I have emailed them and told them to continue to stop calling me at work. I have contacted our company attorneys and they have told me to tell them it is illegal to contact me at work and saying it is a legal matter is harrassment. That they are required to send whaterve paper work they supposedly have to my address. I have given them my address and then continue to call my at work. Another one of my co-workers had a msg. from Frank Hall (which I would suspect is a made up name) again today. How do I make this stop and press charges against them?

Got several daily calls from a Frank Hall, Johnson York and some other guy who;s name was evidently recorded because you couldn't understand it... . each call gave a case number.. said bad check .. gonna serve me in work.. the whole nine yards.. I called the number back.. got a recording.. left the message that I was reporting them to my local police Department.. haven't gotten another call since and it has been 2 weeks..SCAMMERS!...    
Always... when in doubt.. do a search on the number..and you will more than likely see something posted...about them being scammers!..

Me too automated voice message. Turned the recorded call over to the local PD and my attorney and Attorney General's Office in my state. Total scammers threatening  to harass. If we track them down they are going to be sued big time for each harassing phone call and threatening statements made.
Don't give them a dime. Process Servers don't call to meet you somewhere.

I too just got a call from "Johnson York" stating I had written a bad check in the amount of $500. When I called the next morning I was told that I would be getting served at my place of employment and that I would have to plead my case in front of a judge. The account they were referring to was 5 years ago and paid in full to a collection company. The rep stated she needed the balance $3,000 to close out the case and stop the serving process. When I asked her where she had me listed as working, she said that information comes directly from the IRS. She put me on hold for awhile and then said she'd take $500 and need my letter that the account was paid in full in order to close the case. I then said I needed to find my paperwork and confirm with my husband before making a payment. She shouted "good luck" and hung up on me. Well the day came and went and no one showed up at my employer. I want this company sued for harassment and providing false information. They try and scare people into giving them money. Some red flags for me: if I truly owed this money I would have received some sort of certified mail to confirm my residence or employment, it would have showed up on my credit report, what company sues over $500....it costs money to sue, and why did the amount change during our conversation. I'm still a little shaken up, but I'm going to find out how to stop these thieves!

They will not give you any verification as far as a signed loan document. They say to check your bank acct records to see when the money was direct deposited into your account. Little did they know that I have the paper copies with images of all of my bank statements since 2001. There was no deposit matching the amount they claim to be collecting on. When I called them back, I was unable to reach them to tell them what horrible people they are.  DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY!

We have never had a payday loan. I think they get your info from the internet via loan aps or other phishing schemes.

If they are threatening you over payday loan, claiming check fraud, bank fraud, internet fraud. THEY ARE DEBT COLLECTORS! Your old loan was sold, THEY HAVE NO LEGALLY COURSE OF ACTION. So people tell them to get lost, you never have to pay this and there is NOTHING they can do. Oh, they will mark it for sale and sell it to another company. Believe me what they do and say is nothing but illegal.

Threatened to come to my place of employment to serve a summons for a bad check for $700.  Only way to stop this is to pay the $700 immediately over the phone.  Supposedly for something to do with a payday loan.  I've had payday loans in the past and paid them in full.  This is not the first phone call I've received of this type.  Apparently having payday loans gets us on some kind of list.  They had my employer's name and email address.

I received a call from Johnson York saying they were trying to serve a summons for a bad check (I haven't had a checking account since 1999).  When I called them they informed me that it was for First Premier credit card from 2007 (Which was payed with my tax refund).  While explaining this to the Rep., she told me I was an arrogant a**hole and hung up.  I tried calling back multiple times and it goes right to voice mail.

I got a call today saying I had a bounced check from 2 years ago for payday. The gentleman was very rude and wouldn't answer any of my questions. Then he threatened me with a court summons!

Just received a call from an automated voice, ID as "Name Unavailable 1-000-000-0000", stating that it was trying to reach me in regards to a bounced check. But I don't use checks and haven't used any payday service. Total scam.

Today I receive a call the number came up'0000000000' i did not answer because it was all '0''s. I immediately called my attorney to see if anything outstanding was in district or circuit court. That answer was no. Then my attorney asked me to phone them so i did and spoke to a Angela Smith she gave me me the last 4 didgets of my social security number, i immediately told her I'm not disputing just gathering facts, so that I may pass it on to my attorney. She got pissed and said 'whatever lady'. Then me and my attorney google 1-888-746-5422 the number asked to call when inquiring about the case number left on my voice mail. We did not believe all the complaints about this 'FAKE JOHNSON YORK' it is so sad that people result to tactics like this to SCAM you out your money. This was supposedly for a payday loan that I took out on July 11, 2011 for $350.00 and now supposedly is sueing me for $700.00 amazing. Charges attempt to fraud and attempt to use bad checks.

Angela and Patty keep calling my place of business telling me that I wrote a bad check for a payroll advance in September.  NEVER HAPPENED.  There are threating me with a process server and that I owe now 950.00.  This is not true.  They would not provide any information for the supposed debt owed.

calls again today, this time a woman named PAT ALLEN. Do not give them any money.

I received a call today too-- very ignorant- threatening to sue me for $20 on a bounced check from 2007...then for $632 on a credit card that I didnt open....then for $5000 to $10000 if I didnt settle with them for $300 over the phone. The "supervisor" Nancy got on the phone after I had my a** full of Jason Scotts obnoxious behavior.....she proceeded to call my husband a white collar criminal who was stealing from me - which is funny as I am a stay at home mom and he works only.  Jason Scott gave me the number to Urban trust bank - along with the supposed credit card number- I called and they have no record of me what so ever- I then looked up the supposed credit card company- and they have no record of me either- so I called Jason Scott back- and he proceeded to be ignorant with me-
SCAM- huge SCAM--- I am so angry

Phishing SCAM.... I get a recorded message from a "Frank Hall" saying I am being 'served' for a 'bad check'... I have overdraft protection, so it would be impossible for any of my checks in the last 10 years to have been 'bad' because the bank would cover it and then charge me a BIG fee.... and since I didn't write any bad checks... this is a total bunch of BS!
