when i returned the call....he gave the wrong middle initial and last four of the social.  I told my husband the calls feel like one of those fishing for info calls, let's look this firm up.  Lo and behold.  I hope they are caught and sued.

They called re my elderly parents, saying they had an "affidavit of fraud".  When my brother-in-law asked some clarifying questions, they hung up.  The lawyer in charge of the case was called "Russell Tindale".  Does not seem to be on the up and up to me.

just got a call from "william michaels, left the 888 774 1338 number, stating that there are three cases against my wife. LMAO. I am glad I looked up the number on google....thanks everyone for the posts.

I reciedved a call back on October 29th from a Tony @ Micheal Brewer & Kane Law Firm on my job stating that I owed on something from 2006, and at the time I couldn't remmber if I did or not,and I had just returned to work from having a major surgery and he said that I had to pay this rediculious about in full or if I didn't he was going to send paper work to the courts.  Me not wanting anything like that to happen I bowrrowed $100.00 from someone and sent it, not thinking this is a scam. And then he called me back and asked me could I send in $630.00 in full and I told him I didn't have that kind of money  and then I asked him for something in writting and he totaly got of the suject. And I asked for an adrees and they will not give it you. They called me on Wednesday stating that they were going to be sending the paper work on that day. This morning I recevied a call from a Tony @  Brewer Micheal & Kane telling a co-worker no call will fax eberything to the courts. Now that is illegal to give information to someone else besides the person. Something needs to be done about this company. And I will be calling to report them.

This is a scam.  They can call anyone but they never put anything in writing.  Something needs to be done about them.  They are the ones that need to be arrested for FRAUD!

I recieved a call from Brewer Michaels and Kane as well. I though was satisfied with the service. I ran all of the credentials given and it showed to ring true. Furthermore, after handling my debt with the firm. i did recieve a paid in full letter, noterized and official. I am sorry that your experience with them was sour, but I am pleased.

I received a call from a Law Firm, "Brewer, Michaels, and Kane" and was told that my husband had an old outstanding debt and that a judgement would be filed against him if we did not pay the "settlement amount".  I panicked, because my husband could not afford to lose his job over this.  I paid them the settlement amt and now I'm sorry I didn't see this website sooner.  We are now out 2769.63 and that money will never make it to pay off the debt.

They are calling for a Lakisha(sp?) Thomas no one at this number or address by that name they say she is accussed of fraud with her name and social security number case # 42632-cv the callers name is William James,legal assistant he gives the phone # to call as 1 888-774-1338 the number is not connected I also tried the number on my caller ID that came in at the same time 716-957-3084

Scary these people called someone else house that I knew and left a message and a case number for me to call them they had some information on me for fraud, so I called this number 1-888-774-1338 some guy answered and as I started to question the guy he asked me to hold on and switched me over to Mr. Waters who would not give me his first name and also stated that he did not have an employee ID and this conservation was on October 1st, 2009 around 8:30pm, I received another call today October 2nd, 2009 wanting my account information and this time a Micheal lewis stating that Micheal Waters had contacted me, these people are soo bad

Just found one of these calls on one of my family members cell voicemail. I called them back right away (well, *lol* after I did my digging) and said "I'm receiving this calls on my phone and I don't know why". They asked for my number, I heard the man typing it into a system (by the way, they answered on the first ring, like half a ring, they must be desperate sitting on those phones) and confirmed my number and then gave me a name. I laughed and said "No, this has been my cell for 5 or 6 years, you got the wrong number". He asked for my name, which I did tell him, (but he didn't ask how to spell it- nor did I hear further typing) and thanked me and told me it would be removed. Then hung up. Honestly though, you got to be a real shoe if you fall for this. Intimidation only makes people arm themselves, especially in these times. These collectors really need to get some new tactics.

Please contact your state OAG (Attorney General) and the New York OAG and complain against these people Brewers, Michael, Kane and Tri-Financial. I don't know how they are scamming and getting away with it, but I plan to take full legal action to see that they are stopped! I started receiving calls from these knuckleheads since June 4 of 2009 and at first they had me scared and I made ridiculous payment arrangements but of course I cancelled the Mastercard debit card I gave them. I actually was tricked into paying them 156.00 but I am in the process of trying to get it back, I have filed a fraud charge with the card company. I love playing games with them, they call my work and I have the ladies on the phones give them hell. Mr. Lewis is a clown, and so are all the knuckleheads that work there. I told them sue me and I haven't received anything. Please don't pay them like I did, for a moment I let my idiot guard down and these clowns snuck past me.

I too received a call from Brewer, Michael, and Kane.  They actually contacted my sister in another city and was rude to her.  When I called them back this man told me that I owe over $1900 for a check that was written back in Oct. 2006.  When I asked for details such as the check number, dollar amount, payee, etc. he got very rude and told me that he didn't even wanted to waste his time with me and that he would rather just send me to civil court for fraud but he was required by law to contact me for notification purposes for the court.  I asked to speak to the supervisor/manager because of his rudeness and that was a waste of time.  "Mr. Thrash"  was just as rude and told me that I had until the morning to resolve/pay up or they would file by tomorrow afternoon.  Then he hung up on me. Thank god my sister decided to check on the internet....what a scam!!

I recieved a call from 888-774-1338, a Mr. Timothy Johnston stated that I had a loan that their office had bought from the original creditor, he then went on to tell me that I would be arrested and prosecuted in criminal court for fraud.I payed the loan off and have since recieved notice from four other Law Offices regarding the outstanding balance of the loan payed to BMK.I would like to know what I can do from here.

I just got a call today from these jerks and said I committed fraud on a payday loan and they told me I owe 1400 dollars when my original loan was only 256 dollars they said I have to go to court they are very rude jerks and were very very mean to me on the phone would not answer any questions about anything I asked them. what should I do, I was going to hire a lawyer.
