I don't answer calls from area codes I do not recognize...figure if it for real, they will leave a message. This makes the 5th call in as many weeks. IGNORE IS THE RULE HERE.

I do not answer unknown calls period..........did not leave a message and I am on the DO NOT CALL lists. I have Humana INS if this is them!!! but communicate via email or me calling them!!

I think the reason that these scam calls can't be stopped is that the government officials, in the little countries the scammers are in, are getting part of the take. The FCC cant get the cooperation from those people to prosicute them. All we can do is try to get our phone companys to block the numbers.
I use ATT cell phones, so I called and they give you the ability to block up to 10 numbers at a time for $5 a month. I think if the scam computer calls and is blockes, it takes your number out of the sequence. I'm going to try that. Also I get texts saying "please call me" and also phone calls from area codes 876, 809, 649, and 284. These are scams from Jamaica.

phone rang 4 times--only got dial tone when i answered, tried redial x's 3 & got busy signal each time. what's going on with this number?? who or why are they doing the calling?? is there a reason to worry??

Just called and hung up. I wish we could get them to stop. Years ago if you called some one and hung up it was considered a harassment call and it was a federal offense.

I have received multiple calls on my cell phone from this number in the last 3 days. I answered it the first 2 times but have ignored it since. The last 2 calls have come at about 8:20 am. Who is this and can they be stopped?

They have called me twice in two days. Also I get text msgs and calls from area codes 876, 809,649, and284. I know these are from Jamaica and if you call back, you have won money, but they need money sent to them to release it. all scams. They have a computer dialing you so it wont stop untill they get every sucker they can from the bank of numbers currently in use.
I'm pretty sure if you call the 888 number back you will get stuck with a phone charge of several thousand dollars, and your phone company cant change it.
